    School Girl Vibes…

Black Mari A Wedges :: Black Gucci Mini Bag :: Black Skater Skirt :: Black and White Plaid Button Down Shirt :: White Crop Top :: Black Sunglasses

Happy Halloween!! While I am not one to really dress up (you know…because I am too cool for school :p hehe) I figured I would share this ‘school girl‘ inspired outfit since it is practically like a costume for me haha 🙂 I was never a big Halloween person, I am not sure if it’s just because I don’t really like dressing up in costumes or because horror and gore scare the sh*t out of me haha (I am definitely a bit chicken) but I much prefer laying low Halloween time. So with that said, Halloweekend was pretty quiet for me…just how I like it!

Funny enough, I realized that this look kinda reminded me of something a school girl would wear…so hey for today’s sake, it’s my costume haha! I love this look for fall. It’s a great way to style a plaid button down shirt in a different way! Normally I always layered it casually with jeans, but I kind of loved this combo of it with a crop top + skater skirt.

I kept this look pretty simple with all black + white so I paired these black suede wedges (super comfy btw) from Mari A shoes with my favorite mini bag from Gucci! If you want to shop more of my favorite going out bags, check them out here!

    ‘Pic’ Me Up…

Shabby Apple Plaid Shirt : Navy Midi Skirt (similar) : Vera Bradley Satchel (similar) : Nude Suede Peep Toe Booties (similar)

    # T B T! Nothing like a little ‘Pic’ Me Up with this picnic style look (not intentional but this blue plaid shirt paired with a pop of red reminds me of a picnic :p) Bright colored pieces and a girly look always cheer me up and put me in a sassy mood…what gal doesn’t feel like a million bucks when wearing a stylish little number that shows some leg and maybe a little cleavage…gotta be risque every now and again…right? 😉

I’ve always been mad for plaid, but I decided to style this Shabby Apple plaid shirt differently than usual. Pairing it with a high waisted midi skirt and tying it, gives off that effortless chic retro vibe that I feel like embracing every few months 🙂 While I love ModCloth and flashbacks to trends from certain eras, I can only be ‘retro’ so often…luckily this outfit is one of those moments!

This look was shot a couple of months ago outside a little Mexican restaurant in Studio City. The decor and building helped make this look stand out even more and it was the ideal backdrop for an impromptu picnic :p Ok, maybe I didn’t actually picnic, but…this outfit is perfect for one 😉 Plan ahead to spring + summer ladies!

P.S. may be hard to see but the exact shirt I am wearing is show below (paired with a green tule skirt!)

For my ‘Pop Of Color‘, this Vera Bradley bag paired with my Elizabeth Arden red lipstick were perfect! Red simply makes a statement no matter what the occasion and red lipstick always makes me feel ‘retro glam’!

Between the navy with the plaid and then the pops of red, nude shoes were the way to go. I love nude peep toe booties like these because they match with any and everything AND they elongate your legs! Even better…nothing like a good leg day…as in a day when your legs look fabulous in a skirt 😉 haha not leg day at the gym…

Speaking of picnics…here in LA the storm ‘El Nino’ is happening…rain, wind ugh…not feeling it, I will be dreaming of picnic perfect weather 😉
