F L O W E R power! I am far from a ‘Boho Chic‘ kinda gal, but now that I am living in LA and festival season is upon us, I figured it only makes sense to share some Coachella inspired looks! I actually attended the Boohoo.com Coachella Pop-Up Shop last weekend where Bella Thorne + Mischa Barton were in attendance (oh hey there Marissa Cooper!)…safe to say my brother AKA PopCultureDiedIn2009 was beyond thrilled to get the insider scoop 😉 However I was pumped to see all the floral, fringe and boho-inspired pieces perfect to wear out in Palm Desert!

A signature piece everyone seems to be obsessing over this spring are Floral Bell Bottom Pants! I honestly can’t remember where I found these babies but I kinda love them and may bring them to Coachella with me (heck…they are totally coming haha)

I paired them with a simple white camisole (from Kohls) and layered over a chambray button down shirt (from Nordstrom Rack). While I know most boho gals will be rocking floral pants like these with a crop top…that ain’t my style. I like to show some skin, but not bare it all just yet (hey I still got time to prep for bikini season don’t I? haha)

My shoes and accessories are perfect for festival season as well! Wouldn’t be a festival without some fun neon and fringe — like these necklaces below! And platform shoes — why not right? Especially with bell bottom pants, kinda 70s vibes which I am digging 🙂

Stepping into Spring in Style…you know that’s just how I do :p OK…jk…too much rap music on the way to work in the morning haha! For real now, I am loving the idea of a ‘short suit‘ (especially a white one) for spring! I know #AllBlackEverything is always on point, but I am kinda digging a new trend…#AllWhiteEverything (maybe it will catch on…thoughts?) 🙂

With Easter just days away, I decided why not share a look that doesn’t involve a dress (although I shared my top dress picks yesterday, here) ? I mean who decided a dress was the proper thing to wear for Easter brunch or family time? If you ask me…holiday time is the perfect time to make a statement…what better way to make a statement than to stand out in a clean, crisp look like this one (and of course, bright, colorful accessories are in order :p)

Let’s break down how to get an All White Look –> 1. A chic white boyfriend blazer (perfect spring into summer essential…for work, play + beyond) 2. A simple white chiffon camisole (like this one from TopShop — matches with everything) AND 3. White cotton shorts (dress them up, dress them down…either way…they are a ‘must have’).

#OutTake moment :p That’s what I love about shooting with friends…they always make me laugh haha! Makes for great impromptu photo ops like this one!

These nude ankle strap sandals are great for year round (especially in LA) they can be worn with absolutely everything! Helps take the guess work out of outfit pairing in the morning 😉

My bag is the definition of spring — Pastel colorblock hues, floral design and a great leather material…I am slightly obsessed (ok…very obsessed haha) with this Nicole Lee USA bag (an LA native like myself)!

It wouldn’t be St. Patrick’s Day without a little green! I actually got to venture out last weekend and shoot at some new spots…this one being Venice! I’ve heard plenty of mixed things about Venice, but after exploring and finding the cutest shops, restaurants (and plenty of colorful backdrops)…I got sold on it 😉 Safe to say plenty of more shoots will be happening there haha :p But…back to St. Patty’s Day…green it is!

This look is super simple yet chic. I always love incorporating color into any look I wear, so this All For Color kimono was the perfect piece to build my look around.

I paired it with white skinny jeans from Old Navy and this white chiffon camisole from Kohls!

Sunshine + Clear Skies…perks of Winter in LA! I have gotten so accustomed to LA life that I can’t even imagine moving back to NY and dealing with the cold temps (especially after seeing all of my friends’ Facebook status talking about how many layers they need to wear just to step out the door…not to mention the blizzard warnings, road closures and the un-glamorous digging your car out of the snow photos). Yup, I think LA is the place for me…sunshine, the ability to wear short sleeves in the winter + I get to wear white pumps like these without the ~~fear~~ of a slushy sidewalk ruining them :p The perks seem pretty endless…

Even in NY I was obsessed with leather leggings…especially these ones from HUE! They are sexy, comfortable and keep me just the right amount of warm for those chilly days in LA (which are rare)!

I layered a simple chiffon camisole along with a tan kimono (similar)…I am hoping on the kimono trend what can I say 😉

For my little ‘Pops‘ of color…I added my new favorite bag from Vera Bradley…this plum satchel (perfect winter into spring shade) + I also had to add another accessory I love year round…this tan floppy hat (only $14 at Target!!)

And of course…I couldn’t be LA ‘cool’ without some killer sunnies like these from Le Specs!

And of course…the star of the show — White Pointed Toe Pumps…my year round ‘must-have‘!

Someone has a case of the M O N D A Y ‘ S…ok maybe it’s me and maybe you too? :p I had one heck of a weekend + I already can’t wait for the upcoming 3 day weekend that is just 5 days away (let the countdown begin) because I need some R&R like nobody’s business 😉 (got to look forward to something, right? haha)

Saturday, I headed to the famous Laugh Factory on Sunset (still can’t believe Sunset is only 5 minutes from where I live #surreal)…since laughter is honestly the best medicine for when you are feeling drained or need a little pick me up! Yesterday I headed to Kristi’s house for a Vera Bradley themed brunch to celebrate the launch of their new candle, soaps + fragrance sets! Back to my outfit…My brother shot this look on me back in May when we were visiting USC (in true Missy fashion I needed to share my ‘college‘ style even though I graduated college years ago haha!) But…if I was still in school…this would be a great casual look!

Every gal needs a Preppy Striped Button Down like this one (similar)! Wear it buttoned up for a more polished look for the office or an interview, or wear it open with an easy camisole like this one for a more casual look with jeans, shorts or over a dress or skirt!

Since this was shot back in the spring, it was sandal season…although I still wear sandals like these (similar) even now during winter in LA (it ain’t NY cold so why not)! These sandals are from J. Crew Factory, but these silver Birkenstocks are really similar and very comfortable (is it bad I want to buy these too? #oops)!
