Just call them ‘Prints Charming‘ 😉 A trend I am seeing all over the place this spring is printed pants. Palazzo pants, fit and flare and joggers are all over the place and I think it’s about time I snag a pair (wouldn’t they be perfect for my trip to LA?) I think these will be added to the ‘Must Get’ list!
Any who, I only own one pair of printed joggers (which I wore back in the fall with a crop top + a boyfriend blazer) and it has been a bit of a struggle to find flattering printed pants for every shape. You don’t want a tight fit that hugs every curve unless you are in tip-top shape (which I am definitely not haha) so a jogger fit or a fit and flare style is the way to go in my opinion!
Here are a few of my favorites (and they are all under $75)…chic yet affordable!
Sparkle, Sparkle…it’s almost time for the biggest party of the year (and no I am not referring to NYFW or the Met Gala)…I’m talking about New Year’s Eve 2014! While I still have absolutely no clue about what I will be doing the night the ball drops, one thing I do have somewhat of an idea about is what I will be wearing…and it includes tons of SPARKLE!What I love about New Year’s Eve is the fact that it’s one of the few times you can wear as much glitter and sparkle as you want without anyone taking a second glance…it’s like I can be the bedazzled princess I dreamed of as a little girl without people staring stunned at what I am wearing…can you say dream come true? Well, any excuse to wear a dress and sparkly heels is fine by me 😉 I LOVE a sweetheart neckline (on a side not if and when I ever get married…mark my words, the dress will be a sweetheart design) and especially a fit and flare style like this glittery dress I found at Charlotte Russe! Nothing is better than glitz and glamour on a budget right?
If you are up for the splurge Saks, Nordstrom and Bloomingdales all carry this gorgeous Jill Stuart gold strapless dress (it is STUNNING) and can be ordered for express delivery with free shipping whenever you are ready! I don’t know about you but whenever I wear something without sleeves I always feel the need to pair it with a blazer. Whether it’s heading to dinner, the club or even just a house party, you never know when chilly air may strike and you don’t want to feel uncomfortable at a fun event. I think white is a great color for New Year’s so pair a white boyfriend blazer with a dress, a top and skirt or a top and pants is a great way to keep warm but also stay stylish.Now for the fun stuff…shoes and bag swag. My clutch is from Michael Kors…the hardware on the python clutch adds to the sparkle of the dress and the heels…plus the clutch comes with an attachable chain strap so you can wear the clutch as a shoulder bag to keep your hands free for drinks and h’orderves.My shoes make a statement all on their own. I got these Nine West glitter sandals two years ago and they have been my go to New Year’s Eve footwear ever since. They sparkle, shine and are actually comfortable! Happy Monday Loves! I know the old saying goes no white after labor day but when the lovely team at Shop Mieux sent me these gorgeous nude studded heels from Zara and my nude chiffon cami, I right away thought…white and nude go hand in hand…so an outfit was born! Shop Mieux is an online boutique which sells gently used designer goods for a fraction of the retail price…making brands that seemed a bit out of reach totally affordable. In addition, Shop Mieux has a new feature where ladies can send in their gently used clothes, shoes, accessories and jewelry and get cash right away…it takes the pain out of selling your goods online! Now to break down my look. My white blazer is from LC By Lauren Conrad…I found a similar one from Chicwish here. My white skinny jeans are the classic rockstar style from Old Navy…I am slightly obsessed with the fit of all of Old Navy’s jeans! My nude chiffon cami is from Shop Mieux but I found a similar one from MissGuided…that’s the thing about ShopMieux…you have to get the pieces while they are hot since there is only one of them! You snooze, you loose!I had to rock my signature Rebecca Minkoff Affair bag to add another simple hue to this ensemble along with a little bling…studs on the bag and gems on the heels…what else does a gal need. My shoes are once again from Shop Mieux but I found similar nude platform heels (minus the sparkle) from TopShop…which I’m honestly contemplating buying as well…because they are different right?!My bling was a little gift from SINN Style in NYC which in a way is like Shop Mieux except they deal with high end luxury items…think Hermes, Brian Atwood and Chanel for a fraction of the retail cost! Happy Monday Loves! October isn’t just a month filled with fall festivals, pumpkins and Halloween decorations…October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, a cause dear to my heart. I’ve come to discover that everyone has in some way, shape or form been affected by Breast Cancer. Breast Cancer runs in my family and this time of year is a reminder to visit the doctor and take pre-caution…always be aware of what can happen and what steps to take to prevent it. Please join me in donating to one of the numerous foundations that help raise funds for preventative research and to find a cure 🙂Pink is the color that comes to mind when you think of Breast Cancer Awareness. The pink ribbon represents hope and the continued fight we all take part in to work towards a cure…so I decided a pink ensemble was a must to commemorate. My light pink pleated skirt is from Target…it’s such a girly piece and I love it! I paired it with my favorite black crop top from Jennifer Lopez for Kohls and my signature LC By Lauren Conrad white blazer.
