Happy Monday Lovers! I’m bringing a little warmth back to the blog with this whimsical white pleated dress that I loved all summer long except I had to somewhat make it transition to the colder fall and winter months…my solution? A motorcycle jacket of course 😉 And yes to answer your question, I was freezing when shooting this over the weekend…but how does the old saying go? Pain is beauty…in this case toughing out the cold NY weather is the cost to look halfway decent on the blog haha
I love all things girly girl and in case this look didn’t scream ‘girly‘, I will reassure you that not every girl loves pleated dresses but It’s an essential for every fashionista to have in their closet. Whether it’s a pleated skirt or even a dress like the one I’m wearing, it’s a timeless piece that will never go out of style and that’s something I can always get behind. I honestly can’t remember where I got this dress but I found two similar options here + here. 
To make the look a little edgier, I layered a black motorcycle jacket over it which A) kept me semi warm while shooting + B) Made the look a little less ‘frilly’ and ‘girly’ than it has typically looked previously. I found a motorcycle jacket I LOVE from Piperlime and it retails for under $50 now that’s what I call a steal!
Now to break down the shoe and bag game…which is always my favorite part of any look. What a girl can’t love her shoes and bags? 😉 
My nude ankle strap sandals have been a favorite of mine to wear on the blog for a while now because A) Nude shoes make you look taller and for a 5’3 shortie like me, I could use all the height I could get to pretend to be a model haha! + B) They match with EVERYTHING! My bag was a TJ Maxx clearance find but I found a similar one from Nordstrom except in a different shade. I can never get enough of the design of the Rebecca Minkoff Affair Bag and this mini one is no excpetion…plus it came in the girliest of colors…pink! What else can a gal ask for?!
I also opted to rock some sunnies once again and instead of going to my favorite mirrored aviators, I switched things up with black ones here.
On a side note I became obsessed with a new song over the weekend which I am currently listening to while writing this post. It’s called ‘Say Something’ from Karen Harding and all I want to do is basically dance my a** off every time I hear it (sorry mom but yea I curse…even on the blog).
