With the holidays quickly approaching I am sharing some holiday looks that will be easy to put together + last ya well after the season is over! From velvet dresses to a bell sleeve top + skirt combo like this, mixing + matching pieces to create the perfect festive look is one of my favorite parts of the holiday season. Statement making blouses has been quite popular over the past year, so when I got this top in a blogger mail package I couldn’t wait to style it!

I have to say I am loving tops with fun designs or sleeves. They are a great way to dress up any look + make an ordinary blouse dressy!

This top is great to style with pants, leggings, jeans or a skirt like I did here. Appropriate for year round wear for work or play…it makes dressing for the holidays easy.

As for the skirt, this black bandage skirt is an oldie but a goodie. I think a bandage skirt is essential for every gal to own since it’s easy to style with just about everything (especially during the holiday season)!

My shoes + bag are classics that will never go out of style.

Black ankle strap heels are always a good idea – dress them up, dress them down, either way they are an easy go to + will always match with any look!

Oh Chanel – a classic investment that I will be wearing to all holiday festivities this season…I don’t even think we need an explanation here 😉 Do we? hehe

Maroon + Moto Jackets for the Holidays…

Happy Monday! I am currently writing this at 1am because I kind of spent my entire weekend relaxing which left the blogging to last minute procrastination (oops :p). Any who, don’t mind me if I begin to ramble or seem a bit delirious while writing this post haha…You may wonder what I spent the weekend doing that lead to this late night post, well it’s simple…I officially got sucked in to Netflix. Yup, guilty as charged haha I have watched every episode of: Malcolm In The Middle, Family Guy, American Dad, Law and Order SVU, How To Get Away With Murder, Grounded For Like, The Office, 48 Hours, Dateline + now currently working on Last Man Standing (amazing show btw…Mandy is completely me, Mike Baxter is my dad + Eve is my little sister to a T).

My dad has been telling me to watch this show for years now + finally after exhausting all of my other go-to shows, I decided to give in + now I am obsessed (which pretty much happens to all things he recommends haha #ThanksDad). So there goes my weekend, watching my newest obsession + therefore me writing this Holiday Style Post at 1am while I am dosing off haha

One of my favorite trends to wear around the holidays is a great sweater dress. This sweater dress is from a year ago but I found two similar options below.

To make it a bit edgy, I layered over a faux leather moto jacket (a piece every gal should have in their closet to be completely honest) + I love that it really pulls the look together.

These nude caged heels have been a fav of mine since the summer + they match with absolutely everything.

My gold bag perfect for the holiday season is from Mezza Notte! I love the design + the chic look that makes it ideal for family get togethers, a night out + more.

Kicking Off the Holidays on Rodeo Drive…

The HOLIDAYS are Here! I seriously can’t believe how fast this year has been going by! Feels like just yesterday was summer (perks of living in LA, no seasons means endless sunshine year round haha). It’s been a year and a half since I moved to LA from NY and boy has it been a crazy ride. Moving from Weho to Burbank, switching up my career from in house to agency life, changing from beauty + fashion to luxury lifestyle…this year has been full of surprises (mainly good, a few eh, but overall…amazing)!

Anyways, one of the exciting clients I work with is the Rodeo Drive Committee (pretty suiting for a gal who loves the finer things in life, huh? :p) To kick off the holiday season, tomorrow is the annual Beverly Hills ‘Holiday Lighting Celebration’ where Rodeo Drive lights up with street performers, festive treats + celeb performances!

In addition to working on this fun event, I have been promoting the charitable endeavor of Rodeo Drive this holiday season with the #RodeoGivesBack initiative! Beverly Hills is a pretty amazing community, the people truly are amazing and I have had the pleasure of meeting so many of them who have in turn, really taught me about the history Beverly Hills + Rodeo Drive holds (call me a nerd, but seeing old photos of Rodeo Drive + the Beverly Wilshire pre–RHOBH is pretty cool if you ask me :p).

One of the best parts about the holiday season is giving back to those in need. Rodeo Drive is helping to give the gift of warmth by partnering with the Salvation Army to collect coat donations throughout November + December! How great is that? This has been just one of the amazing projects I get to work on. I planned a little photo shoot at the Beverly Wilshire with some of my favorite blogger babes to get the word out about this great campaign!

What’s better than giving back around the holidays? Makes the holiday season so much brighter!

Now to break down this holiday look! I have had a love affair with this black tulle skirt for years now. It just reminds me of something Carrie Bradshaw would wear (in fact I did a whole shoot wearing it in front of the New York Public Library here).

I think this skirt is great for the holiday season. You can style it with a simple blouse (like this one) or wear a crop top + leather jacket for an edgier look (the possibilities are endless)!

I love these T-Strap Black Heels for the holiday season. I feel like they are such chic classics!

My clutch is actually a toiletry pouch from Louis Vuitton. I seriously LOVE this and even though it has been sold out at all of the LV boutiques I was able to find it with the help of LYST!

All Wrapped Up…kinda like a Christmas present right? 😉 What can I say…I am the gift that keeps on giving haha (jk that’s just what my family says about me when I drive them all crazy…only a few days away from heading to NY to see them + Charlie — literally can’t wait to cuddle with him for an entire week!) Anyways, back to the whole ‘wrap‘ idea…I was never one for wrap dresses (although I do love DVF, wrap dresses being her signature) but after slipping into this one (similar)…I have officially fallen in love!

On a side note, I realized I keep doing the same pose every time I shoot new outfits (#oops)…Maybe it’s just my ‘natural’ instinct to play with my hair, I don’t know, but maybe this can be one of my New Year’s Resolutions…switch up poses when shooting blog pictures 😉 Totally normal right? Haha

I couldn’t wait to share today’s Christmas look with you all and also share some exciting news about a Christmas gift that arrived to me a little early!First let me start by saying I hope you are all enjoying the Holiday season with your closest family and friends. I am currently sitting at home in pjs (yes we open presents in pajamas and then I beautify later or at least I try to…if I conquer up the energy to do so haha!). Usually every Christmas follows this agenda 1) Wake up and open presents 2) Have breakfast (typically my mom will make pancakes…if not cereal it is!) 3) My brother and I go to the movies (did I mention that I am half jewish and half catholic so naturally being partially jewish warrants me to go to the movies on Christmas!) and 4) Delicious feast that mama duke cooks to perfection…followed by me feeling like I am about to explode and the urge to hit the gym all at the same time haha So let me break down this festive little look which can also be worn for New Year’s…so crazy to think we are simple days away from a new year, a new you and some new adventures…2015 here I come! My bling and nails are as follows:

Kendra Scott Naomi Double Platinum Ring // Midi Ring // Essie ‘Borrowed & Blue’ // Caravelle NY Watch // LOVE Bracelet (on my Poshmark)I LOVE ankle strap sandals year round…I feel like nothing is sexier than a simple thin strap shoe to show off a perfect pedicure year round 😉 I found similar beauties to these ones from 6pm.com (but you can in fact shop these exact ones on my Poshmark here)It wouldn’t be Christmas without a little red! My Rebecca Minkoff ‘Mini Mac’ in red is the perfect ‘Pop Of Color’ for the Holiday season and it is a bag I wear year round whenever I feel like standing out.My white cable knit sweater is from Old Navy and it is a MUST for every gal this season. Dress it up with a metallic skirt like I did here or dress it down with some jeans or leather leggings (PS those two combos are coming soon to the blog)…however you wear it, a white cable knit sweater will never go out of style (AND it is on sale now!)I couldn’t find the ~~exact~~ skirt I am wearing here online because it was a TJ Maxx maxxinista find 😉 But I did find some fabulous options (all on sale) here, here + here.Ok, now the moment you have all been waiting for…what was my early Christmas gift that is sure to make 2015 the best year yet? Well it wasn’t placed under my tree so it won’t be opening and instagrammed (but don’t worry my other presents will…follow along on instagram @MissyOnMadison). Starting in the new year, I will be the new social media guru for Kleinfelds Bridal…YES, I said Yes to the Dress and I Do to Kleinfelds! I am SUPER excited to embark on this new journey and I can’t wait to share my experiences with you all of course! Do you guys watch ‘Say Yes To The Dress’ or have your future wedding Pinterest boards in the works? It is something I will be on top of 24/7 with this new career and I can’t wait to drool over the gorgeous gowns, fabulous brides and of course…the rom-com stories coming to life and being shared with you!
