It’s days like today that emphasize what it truly is to be an American. For citizens to put their lives on the line to protect + fight for the freedoms of Americans everywhere is what this country is all about. We fight for what is right, we stand up + protect what we have worked incredibly hard to achieve + we appreciate everything that it’s taken to get to where we are.
While I haven’t traveled all over the world or live outside the US, I couldn’t imagine living + wanting to be anywhere else other than the amazing USA. I love the ability to have the freedom to be whoever I want to be, achieve any dream I may have + to live in a country that people everywhere want to be a part of.
That brings us to today, Memorial Day. While I have never had the honor of serving our country in the armed forces, I am eternally grateful to those who have + continue to do so. The brave men, women + their families that serve this country are what makes America the strong, passionate country we love to be apart of.
No matter what side of the political aisle you are on, we all as Americans should come together to remember what makes this country truly great + how everyone in the armed forces made everything we have today possible ♥

Ok, not the gossipy kind but the statement making, breath taking, traffic stopping kind…like a chic dress like this one from Pink Lily! The second I spotted it on their site I knew I needed to have it + when I was planning my outfits out for my NYC shoot I knew this beauty was meant to be styled in a chic NYC way on the Brooklyn Bridge.
I couldn’t wait to wear this dress…it was my perfect Carrie Bradshaw moment…a moment I always tried to have while I was living in NYC but years later I was finally able to achieve it. It’s funny how time makes your style mature + allows you to feel confident enough to walk the Brooklyn Bridge in the rain in a tulle + floral print dress…it was one heck of a journey but I am so glad I am here.

Spring is in the air here in LA but…it usually starts out chilly before warming up so that’s why today’s look is perfect for work + play during the winter into spring months.
