Just like revamping your wardrobe for winter, it’s time to revamp your beauty routine! I rounded up amazing products from some of my favorite brands whether it be some neutral lippies to bold eyeshadow palettes to the ultimate setting spray + more, I got what ya need below! P.S. ICYMI my current obsession is the Urban Decay ‘All Nighter’ Setting Spray…it is the only setting spray I found that legit lasts me all day (total MUST try)!
With the winter temps making my skin dry + my bones chilly, I have been reaching for my favorite skincare products more + more each day. Somedays I have extremely dry skin + need a little hydration + other days my skin is an oil mine and I need something to zap those zits away. Since my skin is always changing things up on me, that means I need to switch up the products I use every so often. Recently I have been adding a mix of products, tools + treatments to my everyday skincare routine + wanted to share my favorites with ya’ll below! All are affordable (nothing over $150) + they all last a long time while truly leaving your skin looking + feeling great!
I don’t know about you but with Valentine’s Day quickly approaching + plenty of events to go to with award season in full swing in LA, one of my go-to hairstyles time + time again is voluminous, shiny, healthy hair! To save money I tend to do my hair myself and over time from working in hair salons while I was in college and testing out numerous haircare products through blogging, I found my go-to products that help me achieve the hairstyles I love for any occasion AND a lot of them are from Big Sexy Hair.
Anytime I have to take photos or have an event I tend to let my hair air dry, then I add some dry shampoo to add a little more texture and for that extra bit of volume I use Big Sexy Hair ‘Get Layered’!
What is great about this product is that you case use it before curling your hair to add extra volume and then flip your hair over after curling it and spray it an inch to two inches away from your root in separate layers to add even more va-va-voom.
With Big Sexy Hair products your hairstyle not only lasts all day long but also can last you for a few extra days (for a gal that dreads curling her hair because it is so time consuming, this makes doing my hair a bit less of a struggle since it can last longer to avoid re-doing it multiple times throughout the week).
My favorites from Big Sexy Hair have always been their hairspray products. They smell good, have various levels of hold (whether you like a light spray or a firm hold, Big Sexy Hair has an option for you) AND best of all? They are affordable!ONE can of hairspray lasts me months because of the huge size and when using the products, a little goes a long way.
Ulta typically has Big Sexy Hair on sale every other week with BOGO or Buy Two, Get One Free promotions which makes the Big Sexy Hair line even more affordable.
Also, the Big Sexy Hair line has multiple products for color treated hair as well to lock in + keep your hair looking fresh, shiny + as if you just walked out of the salon.
My trip to London is quickly approaching + that means time to PACK! So while I am still planning all of my looks for London (and Paris – yes we are going to head to Paris for a few days, yay!) I already have my skincare + haircare essentials down pat since I found the best travel size options to bring abroad from Ulta (my go to place for all things hair, skin + beauty)!
Check out some of my favorites below – travel size options are also a great way to test out a product you may want to buy full size without making the commitment 😉 So if you have commitment issues haha Then travel size hair + skin care work well for year round usage.
Happy Monday ya’ll! My weekend was a whirl wind. I was in Palm Springs for Coachella parties and needed some serious R&R today (meaning I spent the day cooped up in bed ugh). The weekend in the desert was hot, hot, hot which resulted in me wearing my hair natural for a few days…the best products for this? Eva NYC of course! Check out my process for rocking natural hair with this affordable line of products available in jumbo size at Costco + regular size at Ulta + Amazon.
The key to rocking your natural hair is using the right products that keep it soft, moisturized + reduce frizz in all climates (like super hot palm springs). I have been using Eva Hair NYC for a while now, my signature go to is their leave in conditioner called their ‘Mane Tamer‘. After I wash my hair with the Eva NYC Clean It Up Shampoo + Eva NYC Soften Up Conditioner I brush my hair with a wet brush (perfect for gently getting out any knots in your hair) and then I run a quarter size amount of Mane Tamer to the ends of my hair to keep my hair soft and shiny as it air drys.
If you are all about great deals like me, you will want to stock up on the Eva NYC products at Costco. I tend to go through hair products quickly (especially these since I absolutely love wearing my hair natural now-a-days).
