Ya’ll I am so excited for Thanksgiving next week! From relaxing and spending time with friends and family to cooking up some delicious turkey + treats, Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays because of the cozy, laid back vibe. In preparation of Turkey Day, I rounded up some great styles to wear for Thanksgiving whether it is for Thanksgiving dinner with family or Friendsgiving with friends but one of my signature favorite looks are chic Sweater Dresses!
I love a cozy sweater dress whether going out with friends or even a date night + I styled it simply here with OTK boots + a classic LV clutch but I think sweater dresses are great for so many different occasions so that is why I am rounding up some of my favorites below! P.S. this classic Louis Vuitton clutch is such a must have for all ya’ll that need a classic going out bag that is a designer pick that doesn’t break the bank.
Sweater Dress Picks
These picks are all great options for the holiday season when you are looking for cozy looks for different gatherings + occasions, think office holiday party, family get togethers and so much more!
Gobble Gobble…It’s almost time to show down on some turkey surrounded by friends + family!
I don’t know about you but I LOVE Thanksgiving! A holiday where you reflect back on what you are thankful for…plus amazing food? I mean can it get any better? I think not :p Whether it is delicious pie or my favorite string bean casserole, I am a huge Thanksgiving lover…this year however, I will have to contain myself thanks to Jenny Craig. ICYMI, I’ve been on this weight loss journey for a few months now, so that means sticking to smaller portions + not overeating (wish me luck on Thanksgiving ya’ll). Anyways, this outfit is perfect for if you want to have a second helping or two without popping the button on your jeans hehe :p
This dress is from ShopDressUp + is unfortunately no longer available but I linked to some similar styles well suited for Thanksgiving below ♥
Whether you are heading to dinner with family or a friends house for Friendsgiving, this outfit is perfect for any Thanksgiving gathering!
We will be laying low at home + will be cooking up some yummy dishes (don’t worry, I will be instastorying along the way).
These over the knee boots are my absolute favorite! They match with everything + are super comfy…plus they keep me warm when wearing dresses :p
I linked to some of my favorite styles below (because over the knee boots are a signature style every gal should have in her closet)
As for my bag…it’s my current go-to considering I just got it a few weeks ago…Chanel is always a good idea if you ask me ♥
Yay for Fri-Y A Y! It’s crazy to think that the Holiday’s are right around the corner and that calls for tons of dresses, glitz + glam. Now while I am in full support of glitter, sparkle and a chic LBD…why not try a new look this season? Maybe a little fringe paired with some leather? Edgy Holiday…here it is!The whole look is based around this Coffee Shop Coats fringe leather jacket. Nothing screams edgy like leather and fringe, this jacket is perfect for a night out, weekend errands and even your upcoming parties! Why not add a little extra sass to the ordinarily boring Holiday dresses, jumpsuits and looks…Fringe is in, give it a whirl! Traditionally leather jackets are paired with skinny jeans or a casual look and adding heels dresses the look up.
Let’s break down the accessories. Ok…so mirrored Ray Bans aren’t necessarily ‘Holiday Party‘ attire (I mean you will be inside for some egg nog + yummy aux devoirs) but they make you feel cool, calm and collected on the way to the party.
My Rebecca Minkoff Affair bag is great for Holiday parties (and beyond). The quilted design is dressy and it has a ton of room for all of your party essentials (extra hairspray, lip gloss, back up phone charger etc.).
As for my shoes…well these are bound to make a statement at any party. The fringe detail and the sandal design adds flair and shows off your pedi for any occasion! Here are a few of my favorites:
Happy Monday Lovers! Today I’m kicking off a new ‘Guide’ series on the blog…I’ve already begun posting ‘Holiday Gift Guides’ to help you guys find the perfect gifts for your loved ones this holiday season but now comes the fun part…’How To Dress For The Holidays!’ Dressing for the holidays is always a tricky thing…you never know how fancy / dressed up to be and what should you wear to stand out without over doing it while still being respectful to your family members or friends whom you are spending the holiday season with? Well I’ve come up with a few different solutions starting with this lovely look featuring a statement making sequin skirt from Lord & Taylor available here on sale!To make this sequin skirt a little less dress I styled it with a peach button down blouse from Old Navy (similar one available from Tibi here. The best part? The button down can be worn for work as well so it’s not like your buying a blouse to only be worn once for a holiday dinner! I love any piece that can serve multiple purposes 😉 My holiday hair do? Simple yet chic…you can get my look by following my ‘Long Hair Don’t Care’ hair tutorial here! Now to break down my accessories…I love signature pieces of bling for every day life as well as holiday dressing. In this look I’m rocking a rose gold Marc by Marc Jacobs watch (which would make an awesome gift for the fashionista in your life BTW!) + a signature initial bangle (similar versions here + here…both make great gifts as well). My bag is a classic tote style from the Neiman Marcus collection from Last Call Neiman Marcus. It comes in a variety of colors but for this look I decided brown would be perfect (once again Thanksgiving festive but also practical to wear to the office or on the weekend). These heels are an oldie but a goodie…the Coach ‘Lavania’ Heel. They come in two different hues (both perfect for fall) black and taupe…you can shop them here from 6pm. (P.S. I’m selling these beauties on Poshmark here)If you are already beginning your hunt for perfect holiday gifts check out my guides:
