I am a little behind with blogging after being swamped with event planning + work but here I am prepping for Coachella with one of my boho chic dresses paired with the cutest mini bag that is perfect to wear to any festival! Although I am not one to attend the actual festival (I am more of a party + hang by the pool gal), I always like to dress the part – I mean who doesn’t love an easy boho chic look? 😉
I love a great fit + flare dress, especially a fun printed dress like this one that is great to wear year round (not just for Coachella). The flared sleeves are an added bonus, I am all about a fun sleeve now-a-days!
I usually style one of these dresses with a lace bandeau underneath for added comfort + a little lace detail if needed (especially if it is a deep v neck cut).
This Rebecca Minkoff Mini M.A.B. tote is great for festival season since it fits all your essentials, is comfy to style + carry + matches with everything (especially when you style it with a metallic hue like this one)!
When it comes to shoes, I opted for a cute tan chunky heel bootie with peep toes. Perfect way to show off your new pedi but also keep your feet from getting dirty at the festival in flip flops or sandals (plus the chunky heel makes them very comfortable).
Hello NOVEMBER ♥ With Halloween over, Thanksgiving and Christmas are right around the corner! That means it’s time to begin holiday shopping + gift guides (stay tuned)! The funny thing about living in LA is that you can’t really differentiate seasons because it is always sunny + warm all the time…with that said it makes it the perfect time to style some of your summer favorites well into fall with the right shoes + accessories.
I am always one to wear white after Labor Day but especially easy pieces like this dress that can be easily transitioned by adding a floppy hat + booties! I call that a win!!
I love this dress because it is just so easy to throw on + it is comfy. Dress it up, dress it down, either way it is a piece you should add to your wardrobe. I linked to similar styles below.
A fall staple of mine has always been a great floppy hat. I have this style in maroon, black + tan and it is a great piece to incorporate into your look (especially if you are having a bad hair day hehe).
I am obsessed with these booties! They are beyond comfy and they are great for daytime wear or for a night out look since they have a mid-high heel and a peep toe style.
Fun Fact: This Louis Vuitton Speedy Bag was one of my first large designer bags I got when I was younger. The classic style will always be in trend + is a great fall handbag for work or play.
Happy Tuesday Loves! ♥ Sorry I’ve been MIA recently…between work + trying to get back my pep in my step from a little funk I’ve been in, I needed some time to myself and that meant a little break from blogging. Sometimes checking out + taking a little time to re-evaluate and compose yourself is totally necessary. Now I feel refreshed + better than ever! I am in the process of teaching myself how to use all of the amazing features Lightroom has to offer (this is definitely an on-going project…there is simply so much to learn) plus testing out some fun presets from Dreamy Presets (I mean how could they not be awesome when they were created by a blogger?!).
Anyways…now that I am feeling like myself again, time to break down this great fall look that I have already been living in this season. Ever since moving to LA, I have begun a love affair with Uniqlo. It’s my current go-to for simple pieces that can be dressed up or down AND the best part is that they are great quality but for an affordable price…that is my absolute FAVORITE!
One of my favorite pieces from them is this chiffon bell sleeve blouse (I love it so much I got it in multiple colors, no joke…when you find something you love…buy it in bulk…that’s my new motto haha :p)
I paired it with a great pair of medium wash skinny jeans from Target. They have really been stepping up their denim game + their styles fit me perfectly! The best part? Target.com often times has online exclusive promos for clothing + accessories…meaning you will rarelypay full price for them 😉
My newest fall shoe + accessory obsessions are right here! I have always loved bags from GiGi NY, so when they let me pick a piece from their fall line to style for the season, I got so excited! What I love about GiGi NY (other than their amazing bags) is the fact that they are headquartered + manufactured on my hometown on Long Island! Every time I wear one of their bags it reminds me of home 🙂 Sounds corny, but I love supporting brands originating from where I am from + the fact that they support me + my dreams! GiGi NY’s team always makes me smile ♥
In addition to finding the perfect fall bag, I found a great pair of shoes that I have been styling with jeans, dresses + beyond. I love a good peep toe shoe, and these tan booties are comfortable enough to wear to the office then out to happy hour without a simple complaint!
So this a a huge accomplishment for me…I am actually wearing and embracing ‘The Maxi Dress‘! I have thought for years that the maxi dress silhouette wasn’t ideal for me since I am a shorty :p FYI I am 5’4 (yes, I know heels make me look taller haha) so I was beyond thrilled when I got this Threads 4 Thought Maxi in the mail and it fit like a glove! It was a Cinderella moment…except with a dress and not shoes…who would have thought 😉Since the dress is simple and clean, I dressed it up with some awesome fall accessories because that is the perfect way to transition any summer piece into the new season (although this maxi can be worn year round :p).
I love this acid wash denim jacket (as if my love for denim jackets wasn’t already obvious) I needed a new one to add to the mix and this one from Target is perfect + has some give so you can actually stretch your arms out (a huge deal for me!) Comfort + Style = Happy Missy!
Floppy hats are my current obsession for fall so since I styled my black one a bunch of times, it was about time to pick it up in another shade…brown it is! Also from Target, $16.99 is a total must-have!
And then once again, had to transition my summer white Gucci Bag into the fall and this was the perfect outfit to do so! I am a firm believer that accessories should no longer be season bound…as in why not wear pieces you love year round? If it is styled the right way, anything is possible 😉
I may love to dress up and wear heels, skirts + cute dresses but you know what…I think it’s time for a little break (I mean why not right?). Although I will always be a girly girl at heart, sometimes it’s fun to dress comfy and casual, so when Cotton Hood offered to send me a few hoodies to try I said umm Y E S! And boy am I glad that I did!! Ok, now I know it’s easy to think ‘hey it’s just a hoodie what’s so special’ well let me tell ya, it is the comfiest, softest hoodie I have ever owned…now that is a H U G E statement! This Cotton Hood zip up comes in various colors and is only $19.95! Quality for a great price…that’s always a W I N in my book! I feel like I am wrapped in a snuggly blanket every time I wear it…which is pretty much all the time after a long day of work or in the morning as I am doing my makeup in the mirror :pI styled this hoodie with some of my every day favorites — white denim shorts + a vintage gray tee. They are the perfect pieces to style with anything and my pink hoodie adds that little ‘Pop Of Color‘ I always desire with any ensemble 🙂
BTW how awesome is this shot…looks like I was having a #GoodHairDay woo!!
My accessories are also pieces that can be worn year round and are perfect to transition from warm to cool weather (even though I haven’t yet experienced that in LA).
