St. Patrick’s Day is just around the corner + since I’m always feeling lucky given I have that ‘luck of the Irish’ hehe I figured I’d share some of my favorite St. Paddy’s Day inspired style picks so you can head to the parade, bars or out with friends in style! From green heels to green purses to green tops, dresses + more, these picks are sure to get ya in the lucky spirit!
Feelin’ Lucky? Well you should because A) It’s FRIDAY + 2) Tomorrow is St Patrick’s Day!
ICYMI I am Irish so I am naturallylucky – JK I wish it was that easy haha but one thing I do feel on St Patrick’s Day is GREEN! I love a good pop of color any day of the week so why not embrace a little green to celebrate. Whether you are heading to a local parade or just going to the bar with friends, feel a little lucky with a pop of green!
Well I have to admit, I am feeling a little lucky now-a-days because this weekend my boyfriend and I are moving in to a new place! We are super excited and I for one cannot wait to furnish and decorate the entire place from top to bottom (it will be #instaworthy…shhh don’t tell the bf haha :p) A new town, a new space + a clean place to come up with more creative content?! What is better than that? hehe And maybe we will have a drink to celebrate who knows 😉
Any excuse to wear color…I take it! This green dress was a clearance find from Nordstrom Rack (I actually scored it for just $5!!) but I linked to some similar styles below.
I paired it a faux leather moto jacket (making this look perfect for an outdoor parade or a night out at the bar). My current favorite is this style from ASOS.
Not ready to sport a bright colorful dress? How about adding a ‘Pop Of Color‘ to your look with a great pair of shoes + bag?
Here are some of my favorite green accessories at various price points ♥
It wouldn’t be St. Patrick’s Day without a little green! I actually got to venture out last weekend and shoot at some new spots…this one being Venice! I’ve heard plenty of mixed things about Venice, but after exploring and finding the cutest shops, restaurants (and plenty of colorful backdrops)…I got sold on it 😉 Safe to say plenty of more shoots will be happening there haha :p But…back to St. Patty’s Day…green it is!
This look is super simple yet chic. I always love incorporating color into any look I wear, so this All For Color kimono was the perfect piece to build my look around.
Green Aftermath…the day after St. Patrick’s Day may be a bummer for some, but for me…it’s pure bliss. Let’s break down just a few of the reasons why I am not a St. Paddy’s Day fan…A) Overcrowding in NYC {have you tried navigating the streets of Manhattan the day of any parade…let alone the St. Patrick’s Day parade? Do Not Attempt!} B) Drunk / Obnoxious people on the LIRR {cue throwing up teens + countless fights…both my trains yesterday were delayed…lovely} C) It is an excuse for everyone (irish or not) to get drunk without actually knowing the meaning behind the holiday {although my grandma definitely gave me the detailed history of St. Patrick’s Day I can’t remember it exactly, but I guarantee it wasn’t a national ‘Get Drunk’ holiday…but hey who knows} Anyways…back to something I do enjoy…colored jeans! Haha…like that segue? 😉
Top O’ the morning to ya and Happy St. Patricks Day! What better way to show a little green than with one of these picks from my spring trend guide?! Last week I shared some of my go to spring footwear (which all retail for under $150…yes…spring footwear that is affordable!) but today’s shopping guide is all about that green. I love color year round, and normally I gravitate towards blue, pink or red, but I am slowly beginning to embrace green as well.
