But first…~~coffee~~ (~~scratch~~ that…to be quite honest I start each and every day with a Venti iced green tea from Starbucks…unsweetened of course…typical white girl…~~oops~~) but I mean coffee as in ‘Coffee Shop‘, the great brand who makes this stylish leopard coat I am wearing today! This past week has been the true beginning of winter weather. Snow on the ground, a chill in the air and wind that practically swept me right off my feet…this weather calls for a warm, cozy and fashionable coat…in comes Coffee Shop.

This brand reached out to me right before the Holiday Season and I couldn’t wait to work with them. They make everything from Moto Jackets, to Pea Coats, to Wool Coats and Bomber Jackets…they are now my one stop shop for unique and trendy coats that won’t break the bank (which is always in style in my book!)

So while I am not a fan of the cold temperatures I must admitt it was kinda fun to have a little white snow on the ground while shooting looks over the weekend. And yes…I was freezing while shooting each and every outfit…at one point my poor brother’s hands turned pink from holding the camera out in the cold…but nonetheless new outfits were shot, and Missy is still able to share her stylish journey…no matter what the weather outside may be!| Click To Shop My Look |

On Wednesday’s We Wear Pink!

Spring is in the air! Flowers are blooming, birds are singing…oh and by the way, it’s still cold in NYC! What the hell! In order for me to try and forget that there was actually snow at the beginning of the week I am once again embracing color! Now if you read the title of this post and didn’t right away giggle I’m sorry to say but you must be living under a rock :p I had to pay homage to one of my favorite movies of all time in which the color ‘Pink‘ was the center of attention: Mean Girls!

One of my favorite lines from the movie other than ‘Is butter a carb?‘ is ‘On Wednesday’s we wear pink.’ That is a rule I can totally oblige by because if you haven’t noticed, I’m not one to shy away from color and this outfit exemplifies just that 🙂

In addition to paying homage to my fav Miss Regina George, I felt it was only suiting to bring a little sunshine to the blog since today I’m off to California for some fashion excursions and fun in the sun with my lovely friend Kristi of ‘Currently Crushing‘, she has a slight color obsession as well 😉

I honestly can’t wait to leave New York for a few days and I’m so excited to meet fellow bloggers who are style obsessed like myself at Lucky Fabb West 2014 in Beverly Hills! What What 😉

I’m even thinking this look will end up being a ‘must have’ in cali…pink sandals and pink pants? What can be better…right? 🙂

Chambray On My Mind

Now yes ladies, I’m totally going to admit, while this outfit is super cute and comfortable…I’m definitely not rocking it today as my ‘OOTD’…it’s in the teens in NYC! Can spring please come already?!

A fashion trend that doesn’t seem to be going anywhere anytime soon is chambray. What I love about this shirt and chambray in general is that it can be dressed up or down. For a casual weekend look, pair this chambray top with leggings and some boots or even Converse. For a dressed up look, just use my outfit as inspiration! I have a thing for skirts (what girl doesn’t like to show a little leg 😉 ), in addition I have a thing for mixing and matching different materials. This printed skirt may have a different shade of blue than the chambray top, but I am a firm believer that fashion and personal style is about wearing what works for you!

I scored this top at Nordstrom Rack…safe to say it may not be there now, but check out my shopping list below for a similar top you can score online. The skirt is from Nordstrom, boots from H&M and the bag is Gucci (which I happened to borrow from my mom…why buy my own when my mom has enough style for the both of us 😉 )!

Coral Crush!

For once this season, my outfit on the blog also happens to be my outfit of the day! There’s noting better than bundling up in a cozy sweater on a frigid and snowy day like today in NYC. After an exhausting weekend consisting of some R&R, a girls night out and waiting on line for 3 hours to meet my idol Sarah Jessica Parker (don’t worry a blog post will be coming soon!), this Monday morning is definitely giving me the blue’s.

So instead of mourning this Monday in traditional black, I opted for this cute coral oversized sweater scored on clearance at Nordstrom, olive green Abercrombie pants (which are super comfortable by the way!), quilted white puffer vest from Old Navy..for that extra layer of warmth, black lace up Old Navy booties and a plain leather bag from Urban Outfitters. This outfit is great for work or play and will keep you cozy and warm all day long 🙂

There’s nothing better than a Starbucks green tea, a warm sweater and some blogging to start a Monday off on the right track!
