Green Aftermath…the day after St. Patrick’s Day may be a ~~bummer~~ for some, but for me…it’s pure bliss. Let’s break down just a few of the reasons why I am not a St. Paddy’s Day fan…A) Overcrowding in NYC {have you tried navigating the streets of Manhattan the day of any parade…let alone the St. Patrick’s Day parade? Do Not Attempt!} B) Drunk / Obnoxious people on the LIRR {cue throwing up teens + countless fights…both my trains yesterday were delayed…~~lovely~~} C) It is an excuse for everyone (irish or not) to get drunk without actually knowing the meaning behind the holiday {although my grandma definitely gave me the detailed history of St. Patrick’s Day I can’t remember it exactly, but I guarantee it wasn’t a national ‘Get Drunk’ holiday…but hey who knows} Anyways…back to something I do enjoy…colored jeans! Haha…like that segue? 😉

Happy Thursday Lovers! Today’s post has a fun backdrop because I teamed up with Perrier water to promote their new ‘street art’ inspired bottle design! I searched high and low on Long Island to find some funky street art and bam I found it…in the village…Huntington Village that is! When I hear the term ‘street art’ I would naturally gravitate towards NYC, Brooklyn or Queens, but my lovely Long Island surprised me with this awesome artwork painted on the side of a bar a half hour from my house. This is one village that isn’t part of the Manhattan social scene, but it definitely is the party time hot spot on the island!It was freezing when I shot this look…like the first day of winter cold…and this was two weeks ago…do you feel my pain yet? So over the cold and the season just started! While I am not a fan of winter weather, something I am a fan of is faux fur vests like this one from Karen Kane (similar available from Chicwish here). I love adding a faux fur vest to any look…what gal doesn’t want to feel edgy, feisty and fabulous right?I wore a simple white Old Navy sweater under the vest…black and white…you can never go wrong…oh yeah and I added some bling: Elephant Necklace & Initial Triangle Necklace (both of which make amazing gifts btw!) As for my arm party…I always gravitate towards my gold Michael Kors watch and this simple Marc Jacobs disc bangle. These pieces of bling go with any outfit and are perfect for fall layering! So in addition to my white sweater and my black faux fur vest another fall essential that I am all about is vegan leather leggings like these ones I’m wearing from Lysse! They are super comfortable, totally on trend and best of all? They can be dressed up or down something I am always about 😉 Once again…mirrored aviators and the new Perrier Street Art water bottles!I bought this Louis Vuitton Neverfull as a Christmas gift to myself last year (hey that’s what happens when you get bad holiday gifts…prevent that by shopping my holiday gift guides here, here & here. And these shoes are definitely a favorite of mine for fall. I have worn them a few times both with skirts and with pants: here, here & here….what can I say when I find a pair of comfortable and stylish shoes, I stick with them!P.S. Happy Thursday Lovers! This was another outfit shot at my favorite Long Island back drop…the Vanderbilt Museum / Mansion. I’ve visited the grounds a few times now and every time I go it’s always picture perfect. I’m ready to instagram, pose and do typical ‘blogger’ things as some of my friends and family like to say I do whenever I visit the Vanderbilt Mansion. Well, this little look was no exception. I actually saw a few other bloggers style a maxi dress (which is traditionally a summer piece) for fall and I was inspired to do the same…hey any blogger who claims they are 100% original and don’t get ideas from stylists, bloggers or celebrities is totally lying…the world of fashion is a vast wonderland just waiting to be explored…similar to Long Island, which I’m uncovering one outfit at a time 😉I honestly can’t remember where I snagged this black ‘high-low’ maxi dress, but I found similar options here + here. The perfect way to make this common summer item and make it fall fabulous? With a cable knit sweater of course! I’m in LOVE like lust into love with this LC By Lauren Conrad Cable Knit Sweater from Kohls which is on sale NOW here.Now no look is complete without the perfect bag and shoes so here it goes…Yes, I have worn these taupe booties that I found at Marshalls a few times on the blog (here + here + here)…yeah they have become my fall staple shoe. My bag (which you can shop in my Poshmark closet here) is from Lord & Taylor (no longer available). I love a pop of color as you all know so here are two great blue quilted chain bags here + here. Mad For Plaid…

Happy Monday Loves! So I’m thinking it’s time to reveal a little bit more of me in my blog posts other than simply breaking down my looks…let’s get real…watchya think? Well for starters, this outfit was shot yesterday at my old stomping grounds…my elementary school! I felt so old being there but easily forgot about that the second I saw an adorable King Charles Cavalier (the same breed as my little Charlie) walk by in between photos…Not sure if this is just me but the second I see a cute little dog my voice instantly turns into a high pitch squeal as if I was talking to an infant…it’s a bit embarrassing but hey it’s a little quirk I have!Other than my obsession with adorable dogs, I have obsessing over plaid this fall, especially from Old Navy. I rocked a black and white plaid flannel last week on the blog and opted to add a little color with this red and blue plaid flannel here. I always want to add color no matter what the season…it’s another little quirk of mine.Speaking of color…I ended up buying this blue faux leather tote from Old Navy that I had on last week’s Weekend Wish List here. It’s perfect for work or play and I love the cobalt blue hue for fall to add a little extra ‘pop’. My booties are from Report Shoes and were a Marshalls ‘Fab Found’ purchase but I found them here at 6pm.com.An outfit is never complete without subtle hints of bling (or in my case not so subtle…oops).
