Are you feeling a little red, white + blue? I don’t know about you but I am all about a fun bold look, especially to celebrate the 4th of July! While this look is a bit dressier than what one would typically wear for your standard July 4th BBQ, I figured why not?…I mean I love a great red, white + blue look…don’t you?
Whether you are heading to a party or heading to watch fireworks, embracing America’s colors is always a good idea if you ask me!
This blue tassel contrast top from Skies Are Blue is the perfect blouse to wear for the upcoming holiday. Whether you style it with white jeans or denim shorts or a fun skirt like I did here, this top is a must have for summer (plus it retails for under $57)!
This white skirt retails for under $20 and is an essential for every gal’s wardrobe. I have styled it so many different ways + it is just a handy piece to have year round. I have always loved skater skirts (so much that I have this skirt in 10 different colors haha :p).
While this red Vera Bradley bag is no longer available, I linked to a few red leather satchel’s like this one from Kate Spade. This bag is a great one to add a pop of color to any look, whether it’s the 4th of July or any look in general, why not brighten things up with a pop of red?
These navy blue ankle strap sandals were a sale find from Macy’s but I am linking to a similar style that comes in various colors here. This style of heel is perfect for work or play. With a mid heel height, they are super comfortable and also stylish.
Happy Weekend Loves ♥ One of my missions when arriving in London was to do a photoshoot with the classic red phone booths by Big Ben. The iconic London sites became my playground for the day as I went in tow with all of my outfits from place to place to capture the perfect outfit shots! In case you ever wondered the amount of work that goes into blogging, here is a little glimpse. Before heading to London I pre-planned every location I wanted to shoot at AND the outfit I wanted to wear at said location (although on social media it looks effortless, I will be the first to tell ya…there is plenty of effort involved haha :p). Since I am one who loves pops of color, red on red made perfect sense in my book 😉
This red coat was my immediate go-to throughout my London trip. I don’t know why, but I felt this red coat was just so London haha
Since I wanted all the red pieces to make a statement (and match the phone booth) I paired the coat with this black + white polka dot dress. It was a clearance find at Old Navy + it is perfect for work or play! It fits great + is flattering on all body types.
This little teddy bear was a surprise Mike packed in my outfit bag before I went out to shoot (talk about #relationshipgoals – yes I am such a mush haha). We got the teddy at the Tower Of London tour where we checked out the Queen’s Jewels + medieval castles which brought me back to my AP European History days in high school 😉
You can never go wrong with a red bag + shoes, they stand out + dress up any look – even for those that are on the more simple side when it comes to color.
I may have just gotten home a week ago, but I am already itching to go back – this city has become one of my favorites + I truly loved it. Luckily, I am heading back in December to spend Christmas + New Year’s in London with my boo ♥
Happy Monday ♥ I am definitely having a case of the Monday Blues today…I spent this past weekend in Palm Springs to kick off my birthday week (I can’t believe I am turning 25 on Friday…a quarter of a century old…it’s all down hill from here right? :p) JK…have to look at the bright side, with older age comes wisdom, better style + class and elegance that takes years to achieve.
Anyways…while I am still 24, I love to sport casual cozy looks like this one with my winter signature essentials…a blanket scarf + OTK boots! I love when comfort + style intersect and with these boots and this scarf, that’s exactly what happens!
Don’t you just love when sunshine is beaming down on you and you are warm and toasty in your outfit? I sure do!
R e d + B l a c k for Valentine’s Day? #Groundbreaking :p With V-Day being tomorrow and 1 more red look in my iPhoto library that meant it was time to share it! Nothing screams V-Day like red pumps + a red bag…especially paired with a ‘Little Black Outfit‘♥ I actually didn’t go for the LBD (crazy, I know) so instead I opted for a black floral top and an easy to mix + match black scuba skirt!Nothing makes editing photos quite as enjoyable as finding funny shots like this one haha That’s the joy of shooting with friends :p Let me break down my look — this top is a combination of Faux Leather + a Floral Print…such a fun combo! And my skirt can match with anything which is always a Win / Win!
Valentine’s Day is just around the corner…once again it’ll be another romantic evening spent with my gal pals…but that doesn’t mean I can’t certainly share some ‘Date Night‘ style (or rather anytime style) here! I’ve been kinda obsessed with ‘retro’ vibes lately, so that means bell bottoms, bell sleeves + a little fringe…
Nothing is quite as effortlessly chic as this white chiffon bell sleeve dress! Dress it up for a night out, or layer a vest + wear ankle boots for a casual ‘anytime‘ look!
Here are a few of my favorites:
Since this is the first of a few Valentine’s Day outfit posts, only suiting my shoes + bag are red…RED h o t! These red fringe sandals (via AMI Clubwear) are perfect for any occasion (work, play, date night, girls night out, etc.) My bag is from Vera Bradley and it is now my go-to bag for all of February<3
