Lady in R E D…nothing makes a statement quite like some red pieces and with the holiday season in full swing, all red everything…is pretty much the norm 😉 While I should have paired this colorful ensemble with the infamous Starbucks red cup, I opted to just work in fun prints and ‘Pops Of Color‘…why not bring tons of color to the office! In NYC this look may not fly as well in the middle of December, but in LA…anything is possible…#IsThisHeaven?

Anyways, I have started a new morning routine when picking out what to wear to work…pick one item and builded around it. The one item I based this look on? This printed cropped jacket (perfect for any season or occasion).I decided to go with solid pieces to compliment the jacket since the jacket does make such a bold statement. Every girl should have a basic white crop top like this one from Go Jane in their wardrobe rotation…along with a bright, fun skirt like this red a-line skirt (similar style).

My Kendra Scott Rayne Necklace in blue also compliments the blue in the jacket and the pink/red mirrored aviators help pull together the skirt and jacket combo 😉 All comes full circle huh?

I clearly couldn’t get enough color or red here haha So this Vera Bradley satchel did just the trick…PLUS it makes a great gift for the holidays! (Gift for you or a gift for someone else…either way #MustHave)

My shoes I kept classic and timeless…nude pointed toe pumps. Simple and will ~~never~~ go out of style…one of my favorite shoes for any occasion!

Candy Cane…

Tis’ the season to dress like a favorite holiday time treat…a candy cane of course! I instantly fell in love with this ensemble the second I slipped into it and decided that it was a total ‘Holiday‘ must! Who doesn’t love to dress up like a candy cane for Christmas? Now they won’t just be hanging on the tree…but also in your closet 😉 Now that’s what I’d like to call…sweet! I based my whole look around a simple red and white striped scarf (the one I am wearing is from Old Navy and is ~~no longer available~~) but I found similar options (that are on sale of course) here + here.After the scarf came into play…the rest of the outfit just fell into place. Old Navy always has a great selection of solid sweaters that can be worn for any occasion, so I grabbed this white scoop neck sweater on sale for under $20! (Great last minute gift idea ladies and gents!)I’ve had this red faux leather skirt for over a year now and I honestly can’t remember where I snagged it but I found a similar one from BCBG at 6pm.com on sale here!As if the skirt wasn’t enough red…add on one of my favorite styles from Rebecca Minkoff…the ‘mini affair bag‘! Zappos has it on sale now with free shipping here.I decided to go simple with the shoes (couldn’t add any more red…would have been a bit much…don’t ya think?!) So nude patent leather pumps are always chic and are an essential for every fashionista’s wardrobe. The ones I found on sale are from Michael Kors and they also have a ‘flex’ foot bed to add extra comfort for the woman on the go!Stay tuned for a last minute gift guide tomorrow…don’t worry everyone procrastinates (even me!)
