    Crazy For Camo

    20140401-104957.jpg

I’m going to admit, I wasn’t a huge fan of the Camo trend at first, but over time I warmed up to the idea. I realized, like with many trends it is all about taking it in small doses…meaning one piece of camo is enough…don’t go overboard in head to toe military gear 😉 I love these camo pants from Abercrombie & Fitch because although they are edgy with their print and the side zippers, they are feminine with the fact that they hug the curves of your body and show off your figure…something regular military garb simply will never be capable of doing!

    Glitz & Glam!

    20140317-093311.jpg

Happy Monday fashion lovers 🙂 This look is definitely not my ‘#OOTD‘, but it’s a look that is fit for a diva…which I admit, I occasionally like to be! This is the kind of ensemble meant for a night out in NYC, going from dinner to drinks with the girls or a date night…it’s sexy, fun and makes you stand out from the crowd.

What I love most about this outfit is this skirt. Hard to believe it’s from the LC By Lauren Conrad collection at Kohls, scored on clearance for $8, but it’s true! Every time I wear it, I get nothing but compliments on it and everyone assumes it’s a ‘designer’ brand from a high end store…well the secret is out ladies, this skirt is from one of my favorite stores, Kohls! I have a thing for Lauren Conrad’s collection. All of her pieces fit me wonderfully and the prices are always reasonable…that’s a winning combination if you ask me 🙂

If the skirt wasn’t chic enough, add a faux fur vest and you get instant glam! To add a little extra ‘oomph’ I paired it with some high black boots because if the look wasn’t sexy enough, these boots definitely helped do it!

I wish I was able to wear this look to the office, but I think it may be a little too much, don’t ya think? Plus it’s back to freezing again in NYC…will this bitter cold ever end? 🙁 I want to bring out my spring wardrobe!

    A Mint Monday

    20140224-103029.jpg

So it may still be winter in NYC but I just came back from Vegas where there was nothing but sunny skies and palm trees…putting me in the mood to post a bright and minty fresh outfit 😉 (get it mint…minty fresh haha)!

Something I learned is that whenever I wear a bright color my mood is instantly lifted…I feel like a new person and it’s as if all eyes are on me…because when doesn’t a little neon grab your attention?  I scored this chic blazer on clearance for $10 at H&M a year ago and I must say it always makes a statement. I paired it with a flirty polka dot skirt, my fav Prabal Gurung for Target heels and my trustee Rebecca Minkoffmini mac bag‘. This bag is perfect for anything…it’s my go to 🙂

I also love these heels because they are not only stylish, but super comfortable and can go with a dress, skirt, jeans, shorts or just about anything! They were one of my go to shoes for Vegas although I spent the whole trip working :/…safe to say I can’t wait to go back for some true fun in the sun and in the casino! I was in Vegas on business but next time it will definitely be for some pleasure!

Here’s to wishing for some warmer weather so I can actually wear an outfit like this to work rather than just for playing dress up on the weekends 🙂

    Blue & Stripes

    20140217-101447.jpg

For once I’m actually rocking my blog look as my #ootd or ‘Outfit Of The Day’! It is freezing in NYC and that means times for a sweater, warm pants, boots and of course a cute quilted vest! Today is my last day in the FFANY office before I jet off to my first ever trip to Las Vegas tomorrow morning and I am beyond excited!!

First off, I’m hoping I can leave the snow at home and prepare for some fun in the sun (in between work hours of course 😉 ) and I am itching to get back to wearing my spring into summer wardrobe…I’m hiding sweaters and boots in the back of my closet this week!

I haven’t been on a vacation, let alone traveled in forever…so not only is this a great work experience but a great life experience for me as well…I’m told Vegas is an adult’s playground and of course the advice from my mom ‘go to the buffets that’s the best part of vegas’…as you can guess my mom isn’t a party person or a gambler, so naturally breakfast, lunch and dinner was her favorite part of Vegas. I’m just excited to see tons of neon, bright lights and to take some awesome pictures with my new camera! Also, I’ll be staying at the Bellagio…so some outfit pictures in front of the fountains are definitely in order!

Today’s outfit is warm, cozy and casual since I have tons of last minute things to do before heading off for the city of sin! I have a thing for brightening up my ordinary outfits with fun accessories, so something I was lusting after for a while was ‘mirrored sunglasses‘…while the Ray Ban version costs over $100, I scored these chic sunnies at Urban Outfitters for a mere $15…now that’s a steal!

I had to add an extra ‘Pop Of Color‘ as my style crush Brad Goreski would say, and I decided to rock my quilted blue bag as a clutch with this outfit! A chic blue bag is the perfect accessory and a little cobalt will never go out of style ladies!

    A Cozy Cardigan

    20140131-092948.jpg
The key to surviving winter weather while still looking cute…you guessed it layers! And one of my favorite way to layer is to throw a simple cardigan over almost any look which gives an extra ‘warm and cozy‘ vibe! Although this look may not be suitable for the polar vortex NYC has been experiencing over the past few weeks, on a slightly warmer day with maybe some tights, this look is simply perfect for work or play!

I also love the nice earth tones I get in this outfit! The navy skirt, olive green top, beige cardigan and taupe booties are great for fall, winter or spring and to add a little extra something, of course a pop of color with my red Rebecca Minkoff bag! It’s simply, comfy and casual and it can be dressed up or down depending on what the day has in store for you!

I am not wearing this ensemble today, but the day I did wear it, was for a casual Friday at work, because who doesn’t love tees and cardigans on a Friday?! By the way, my entire look (except for my shoes) is from Nordstrom…I’ve officially become addicted to shopping their ‘sale’ section online because with Free Shipping & Free Returns, it’s my version of guilt free shopping 😉
