Ok, yes…I am making a fashion ‘~~faux pas~~‘ today by wearing white in the dead of winter…especially with a light wash chambray shirt (gasp) I am getting a ~~little~~ crazy…what can I say 😉 I simply LOVE white jeans and pairing it with this light wash chambray shirt makes for the perfect combo for a Friday night. Whether it’s heading to the movies, the bar or even dinner…I love a great casual look that isn’t ‘plain’ or ‘sloppy’ looking…I call this…dressed up yet dressed down.My white jeans are from Old Navy but Charlotte Russe has great ones (which I actually ordered whilst I was writing this post haha) for under $30 here. My light wash chambray shirt was an H&M clearance find forever ago (PS a little secret about this shirt…it constantly has to be steamed but I kinda refuse to do so…oops…just adds to it’s ‘casual’ vibe).So this Gucci ‘Soho Tote’ is actually my mom’s which she so kindly let’s me borrow from time to time…although I have my new Gucci ‘Soho Work Tote‘ that I’ve worn before (if you missed it I wore it here) I still have a thing for this bag as well #GucciAddict #SavingForAnother (#SorryNotSorry)!Anytime I wear white pants I feel it is almost necessary to go with a nude shoe and since we are trying to make a chambray top and white jeans a bit ‘dressy‘, why not pair the look with nude suede open toe booties like these ones from Nine West.Now don’t ~~judge~~ me but I actually ended up coincidentally wearing this look tonight (I am currently writing this post at 1am…and I know I will regret this in the morning but oh well) I went out, I lived a little and I wore white…| Click To Shop My Look |

Sittin’ Pretty…

Today I am…sittin’ pretty (on the blog here at least). Currently I am wrapped in a towel sitting on my bed watching re-runs of ‘Girlfriends’ Guide To Divorce’ (best show ever btw! current obsession) and relaxing after my return to the Big Apple today for my first day at my new job…which I LOVE! It’s crazy how sometimes things just fall perfectly into place…when you feel like you truly belong somewhere and your voice is heard…it’s a great feeling let me tell ya and if you haven’t experienced it yet, don’t worry one day you will.

I kept being anti-winter and anti NYC weather for the longest time but with looks like this, I can begin to embrace a little cold here and there 😉 Typically when I begin to put a look together I base it around one key piece…today’s would clearly be this great shearling vest that I got at a local boutique by me but I found similar options here, here + here. I LOVE a great vest and this shearling one keeps me warm and cozy…win/win!I really wanted the vest to take center stage so I paired it with a simple white cable knit sweater and black ripped jeans (both are winter staples in my book)! I always think Old Navy has the best cable knit sweaters but maybe that’s because I love a great bargain as well 😉 And my favorite part…bag and shoes! I am OBSESSED with these leopard ankle strap sandals that I snagged for…$7 at DSW! Yes, you heard me…$7! While they are no ~~longer~~ available I found you guys options here + here (all affordable, don’t you worry)!As you all know…I love Rebecca Minkoff and her fabulous ‘Affair’ bag available with free shipping from Zappos here. And even in the winter months I still need my mirrored aviators…they just add a little ‘pop’ to any look don’t ya think?Alright I think that’s all for now folks…I am half asleep and need some rest to get ready for another busy day in NYC! Happy Wednesday Lovers! So it may be rainy and cold this week but I discovered a way to brighten things up around here…with a colorful outfit post…duh! Contrary to popular belief neon isn’t just for summer…case and point…this look 😉 I can never have too much color in my wardrobe…it’s what makes me me! I based this whole look off of two fabulous pieces…1) This neon Kendra Scott Necklace + 2) This Neiman Marcus cobalt blue tote…both of which I am in LOVE with <3 My shoes remind me of Chanel…why? Because they are classic tweed except with a ~~twist~~…an open toe! (P.S. I am selling them on my Poshmark here) They are comfortable, classy and are perfect for the office…year round!Now for the rest of the look…I had a thing for quilted in this post. Black quilted vest, gray quilted skirt…I just love quilted stitching…it’s timeless and always looks ‘put together’.To make the look a little different, I opted for a chambray button down (this one from Gilt is great)…I kinda had a thing for blue hues if you couldn’t already tell…speaking of…Yup, mirrored aviators…something every gal is after AND they make an awesome holiday gift for gals of all ages! My sister is 14 and is obsessed with her Ray Bans and my mom can even be seen rocking a pair from time to time…what does this tell us? Mirrored aviators…a holiday MUST! I wish the weather was warmer so that I could actually rock this colorful number but hey for now I will accept just sharing it with you 🙂 BTW as I am writing this I am watching the first episode of Bravo’s new series ‘Girlfriends Guide To Divorce’…and I am OBSESSED. Happy Friday Loves and Happy August 1st! I can’t believe it’s August already…i feel as though the summer has been flying by so fast so I need to make sure I get my fair share of neon summer looks in on the blog…including this one! A little fun fact about me…My favorite color is purple…so I absolutely love this ASOS purple cami. While this top was purchased months ago and is no longer available, I did find a very similar one from Revolve Clothing that I may actually order myself…who said you can’t have similar tops from different brands? If you find something that suits you stick with it! My light wash jeans are from Nordstrom…they have the absolute best jeans! These juniors jeans fit me great and I love how I can easily cuff them up for a casual laid back vibe!I love anything nude…yea kinda sounds a tad inappropriate but oh well, I’m referring to nude bags, shoes etc. First of nude shoes are a summer essential, especially espadrille wedges like these. They are the go to summer shoe for every fashionista. Dress them up or dress them down…they are always in style and on trend. In addition to my love for nude shoes, I also have another slight obsession…NEON! Cambridge Satchel totally got me when they unleashed all their neon satchels. Pretty, functional and adds an instant pop of color to any outfit.As if the brightness of the bag wasn’t enough, I had to add even more color with my frosted jelly link bracelet from BaubleBar and my Candles & Confetti pink and purple bangles (how gorgeous are they? The packaging was even better…they literally came with confetti!) You know it wouldn’t be a summer time fine look without my favorite mirrored aviators! (Seriously obsessed with the shot below…my brother did a fabulous job with photos this week…my prayers have been answered!)This is the perfect weekend outfit. Wear it during the day with the girls and then later at night for date night…well fitting jeans, nude wedges and a pop of color is my go to summer look 🙂 Shop My Look Below <3
