Playing In The Snow With Joules…

Welcome to the beautiful beaches of Long Island….which are now covered in tons and tons of snow….yea it may take a few more months for me to be actually relaxing on one of these having some fun in the sun but for now…I guess some snow time it is. I am one who rarely wants to dress weather appropriate (for gods sake I refuse to wear any coat that actually closes….yes I am weird and hate constricting clothing #weirdo…I feel like I am always having hot flashes even though I am only 23…maybe i should get that checked out but I digress).

I decided to get it together and embrace the snow with these Joules boots which are perfect for rain, sleet or snow (or if you are in NY a combination of all three). This past weekend has been a whirlwind of weather conditions…snow, rain then a warm sunny Sunday…and that’s what made this look possible…

So I based this whole look around these adorable Joules boots. I LOVE how feminine and girly they are since with me the girlier the better :p The bow on the back of these is the perfect touch! To add a little extra pop to the look I included my cobalt blue clutch (on Poshmark here), mirrored Ray Bans, black infinity scarf and of course my black floppy hat (which I had to keep holding onto my head while I was attempting to do a cute jump in the snow #epicfail).

Can’t forget the bling…here + here. I kept my outfit simple since when I am about to go out in the snow on the weekends, all I care about is adding a little color and being comfortable so all I need is my red Vince Camuto coat and my Hue black leather leggings and bam! Ready to take on the weekend (or the week…whichever has the shittier weather I suppose…sorry mom the weather is making me so angry I kinda have to curse) Where is my sunshine?! #HurryUpSummer

Happy Wednesday Loves! While I love to wear fun and casual outfits, sometimes I need to play dress up and act like an adult (just sometimes 😉 ). I’ve discovered it’s become easier in today’s day and age to not only dress office appropriate, but stylish as well. It’s all about hemlines, cuts and colors. I enjoy a great ‘Pop Of Color’ even when it comes to office wear!My ever favorite white boyfriend blazer is from the LC By Lauren Conrad collection at Kohls. I realized all of my blazers are pretty much from that collection…what can I say I’m a gal that gets stuck on what I like, is that a crime? 😉 My cobalt blue blouse is from Old Navy. It adds just the right amount of color to stand out at the office without being inappropriate. I love my black scuba skirt from Target. The scuba fabric has been a summer favorite as well as a personal favorite of mine! Now for my shoes, as if I haven’t already shared the deets on these a bunch of times, they were a Payless find! Yes, I will forever be stunned that I found my perfect nude ankle strap sandal at Payless…it was the best purchase I had ever made there! My snakeskin envelope clutch is from Target. I love how unique it is. I was never a big clutch fan (I always need a huge bag to carry everything including the kitchen sink) but for some reason I fell hard for this bag the moment I spotted it…I’d say the $8 price tag helped contribute to the love affair as well 😉 Sometimes dressing professional isn’t as boring as it seems 😉 Or at least when it comes to me it isn’t! For once I’m actually rocking my blog look as my #ootd or ‘Outfit Of The Day’! It is freezing in NYC and that means times for a sweater, warm pants, boots and of course a cute quilted vest! Today is my last day in the FFANY office before I jet off to my first ever trip to Las Vegas tomorrow morning and I am beyond excited!!

First off, I’m hoping I can leave the snow at home and prepare for some fun in the sun (in between work hours of course 😉 ) and I am itching to get back to wearing my spring into summer wardrobe…I’m hiding sweaters and boots in the back of my closet this week!

I haven’t been on a vacation, let alone traveled in forever…so not only is this a great work experience but a great life experience for me as well…I’m told Vegas is an adult’s playground and of course the advice from my mom ‘go to the buffets that’s the best part of vegas’…as you can guess my mom isn’t a party person or a gambler, so naturally breakfast, lunch and dinner was her favorite part of Vegas. I’m just excited to see tons of neon, bright lights and to take some awesome pictures with my new camera! Also, I’ll be staying at the Bellagio…so some outfit pictures in front of the fountains are definitely in order!

Today’s outfit is warm, cozy and casual since I have tons of last minute things to do before heading off for the city of sin! I have a thing for brightening up my ordinary outfits with fun accessories, so something I was lusting after for a while was ‘mirrored sunglasses‘…while the Ray Ban version costs over $100, I scored these chic sunnies at Urban Outfitters for a mere $15…now that’s a steal!

I had to add an extra ‘Pop Of Color‘ as my style crush Brad Goreski would say, and I decided to rock my quilted blue bag as a clutch with this outfit! A chic blue bag is the perfect accessory and a little cobalt will never go out of style ladies!
