I’ve always dreamed of going to Palm Springs after seeing all of the great Coachella pics on instagram…fun outfits, floppy hats and plenty of florals is totally my scene, so I decided to bring Palm Springs to my little piece of paradise on Long Island…my backyard! My top is from Abercrombie…I’m assuming a clearance find because I don’t think I ever spent regular price there since i was in middle school…my mom always taught me bargains are the way to go 😉 (Similar top is available from Bloomingdales)My lovely little floppy hat (the only hat I actually own by the way) is from Target…last summer (Similar one from Back Country is available)My shoes and shorts are Old Navy finds of course! Happy Monday Loves! This photo depicts my weekend to a T…lounging by the pool! I hope all you lovelies had a fantastic Fourth Of July Weekend, I know I sure did. I spent almost everyday at the beach or in the pool…what more can a gal ask for?!One of my favorite things about summer is slipping in to a neon bikini and getting my tan on by the pool. This yellow neon top is from Old Navy. So many girls are asking me for the best bikini deals and I always say Target and Old Navy…every season those are my go to’s and they never disappoint. Now to get to my bling. I am wearing something old, something new, something borrowed (kinda) and something blue. Ok, my cobalt blue nail polish is called ‘Butler Please‘ from Essie, it seems to be a huge hit. Some of my bling is from Tiffany, Macy’s and Ariel Gordon Jewelry! And this fabulous beaded bracelet along with a beaded ankle bracelet below is from Sandrea Jewels! They are handmade on Long Island (I love supporting fellow Long Islanders) and they are the perfect poolside or beach accessory. They were so sweet and gifted me this bracelet and the ankle bracelet below…AND they gave me an extra ankle bracelet to give away to one lucky reader! Happy Wednesday Loves! Getting summer time ready takes more than just a killer wardrobe, it takes some ‘Must Have’ beauty essentials! While everyone has their own preference, I have my go to products that I simply can’t be without. Whether it’s skin care, cosmetics, feminine care or hair care, a girl can’t be the girl she wants to be for the day without the basic necessities! Now ladies, I know mother nature can occasionally be a drag when it comes to that ‘Time Of The Month’, but U by Kotex with their New & Improved CleanWear 3D Capture Core is making that monthly experience a little bit easier. While I’m usually a tampon gal, sometimes you feel like switching things up and these pads are light, easy to use and my favorite part, they come in the cutest little wrappers…I love my ‘Pop Of Color’ even when it comes to my feminine care…I’m a bit extreme sometimes oops 😉 {Not sure if you will love it as much as me? Kotex is letting you get a sample…try it, love it, buy it…sounds like a sweet deal to me!} In addition to some feminine care, a gal always needs to take care of her lips, face, skin and hair…duh! Fat Girl Slim by Bliss has become a favorite of mine. It firms your skin and helps reduce the look of cellulite…hey any product that can do that is a miracle in my book 😉
I love Neutrogena sunscreen products because the less oily the better. I am constantly breaking out in the summer, so if I can find a product that avoids that then I’m in! I also, unfortunately can’t leave the house without a little somethin somethin on my face. I fell in love with Ulta’s BB Cream a year ago. It used to be called a ‘Tinted Moisturizer’ and then recently repackaged it and renamed it BB Cream to cater to the hot trend in the beauty world. I love how Ulta’s BB Cream adds color to my face, blends in and covers blemishes all with a simple little amount every morning…and it has built in SPF! Score 🙂 Keeping my lips moisturized is also a must…EOS has got me covered. I love their packaging, which in my opinion is one of the keys to their popularity and I like the easy, light formula and fun scents and flavors they come in. And don’t forget about the hair. When I’m jumping in the pool or heading to the beach and easy way to get a great hairstyle is to spray a little Sea Salt Spray for easy, breezy beach waves. Then keep that look fresh with a little dry shampoo…I use it to add volume, sometimes flat summer hair needs it!
Now I’m off to the beach…with my essentials by my side in my favorite Michael Kors Pink Jet Set Tote…I will never get over my color obsession 🙂

When I was in middle school, in addition to Coach bags, Juicy Couture velour sweat suits and Puma sneakers, Birkenstocks were all the ‘rage’! And now designers from Chloe to Givenchy and more are emulating the ever popular ‘hippie’ sandals in their summer collections!
The classics will never go out of style…and why should they? They are easy, comfortable and the perfect summer sandal! I’m glad my ones from middle school still fit…finally a trend I can save on 😉
