❤️ NATIONAL POLKA DOT DAY is just around the corner, January 22nd to be exact ❤️
ICYMI – I LOVE polka dots + for many reasons. One, because polka dots make me think of Disney which I love + two I love a great statement print to rock for any day! I rounded up some of my favorite polka dot styles you can wear year round + dress them up or down dependent on your day, mood + style. If you like to be really bold like me, you can go ahead and wear an all polka dot outfit as well to truly make a statement. Shop my favorites below + let me know if you are a polka dot fan!
I hope ya’ll had a great weekend + a happy Monday! I’ve been swamped with work, events + planning my BF’s birthday…we finally decided on Vegas so stay tuned for lots of fun posts from there! I haven’t been to Vegas in a year + my boo hasn’t been there in like 5 years so we are ready to have some fun…while we aren’t big gamblers, we are fully scoping out the roller coasters, shows + attractions haha :p
Over the weekend I was going through photo archives + found this look that was shot over 2 years ago + figured it was about time I posted it haha. I truly can’t remember where I got any of these pieces as they were from a few years ago, but I do remember this great leather fold-over clutch is from one of my favorite brands, GiGi New York!
I have always loved polka dots, so this fun wall paired with a cute polka dot skirt is exactly what I had in mind. I believe I got this skirt at Urban Outfitters but I found a similar one from Forever 21 here. I paired the skirt with a simple white crop top + white moto jacket.
I personally feel every gal should have a white crop top + white moto jacket in her wardrobe as they are key staples that can be mixed + matched with everything!
I have been a fan of GiGi New York for years. Their bags are amazing quality at a great price, plus they are made on Long Island, where I am from!
This bag is perfect for any occasion as the gray hue matches with a lot + it comes with a detachable leather cross body strap so you can wear the bag multiple ways.
As for my shoes, I love a bright + colorful pump, like these fuchsia pumps from Michael Kors. my exact bow ones aren’t available but I found a similar pair here.
I hope ya’ll had a fun weekend (especially if you were at Coachella)! My boo + I decided to hang by the pool, capture some content for the blog + do some interior decor shopping (I love when he gets just as obsessed with decor as I do haha :p).
I love a good spring look + even more so a new colorful wall! I spotted this one in Pasadena + decided it was the perfect wall to shoot this spring look in front of. I love new lightweight outerwear especially for LA spring weather since the weather has been all over the place lately. Over the weekend it was in the 80s, today the 60s and tomorrow it could be the 90s so layering easy pieces like this one from Nami Style are key!
I layered this cardigan over a simple black camisole (currently on sale from Kohls) + polka dot skater skirt. It’s great for work or play + can easily be dressed up or down with heels or flats or sandals.
Happy M o n d a y! I hope you all had a great weekend, I know I sure did! I actually hung out by my office on Saturday in El Segundo when I visited The Point, this awesome outdoor mall that is filled with great stores, one of which is Marmi Shoes, where I got these adorablegray pumps (perfect for fall)!
The event was an after party for a huge charity fashion show The Point was hostessing which Marmi participated in, the store was even giving 10% of the proceeds to charity as well (Shop for a cause? Yup I am in :p). It was a lot of fun and I am pretty obsessed with a bunch of their shoes + handbags for fall <3 Like the booties I am wearing above…how cute are they? 🙂Now let’s break down the outfit I wore to the event — My outfit is the perfect look for an ‘LA’ fall, you know since the weather here is far from cold :p I L O V E this pink moto jacket from Kohls (on sale now)…it’s lightweight so it is a great transition piece for season to season and for cool LA nights. I paired it with this polka dot skirt (I love a great print) and this white crop top.I love to mix prints so polka dots + leopard print seemed like a perfect match to me! This Vera Bradley satchel is going to be my signature all season long!
