I took a break from reality TV tonight (and if you aren’t caught up, by tonight I mean last night since I write my posts the night before they are published…I like to be confusing…it’s my specialty…just ask the guys I go on dates with that remain befuddled after it’s over haha :p). Anyway, I managed to get myself away from Bravo for a night and am writing this post while watching a marathon of ‘Big Bang Theory‘ which without fail always has me laughing…Sheldon Cooper never ceases to amuse me 🙂 What else amazes me? The fact that I am actually able to wear leopard print without feeling like I look like Snooki (Jersey Shore version…now I love her…#fitspiration). This look also includes one of my spring time essentials…ripped skinny jeans!

It’s #ShoesdayTuesday and what better way to put a little ‘Spring‘ in your step than with a round up of the top footwear trends for spring…everything from neon, to fringe to white pumps to nude sandals…the shoes you’ve been looking for all in one place AND all at affordable prices (nothing over $135! hey I know I am not the only girl on a budget here :p)
One of my favorite parts about spring is being able to show off a fresh new pedicure, ditch the layers of socks and boots and feel girly and free…I am not a winter person (anyone who knows me that comes as no surprise…I despise the cold and opt for a nice 60-70 degree temperature everyday).
The only issue I have with spring/summer footwear? The marks and blisters I get on my feet…normally with the right footwear I am ok, but I actually got this cool new product called ‘Sole Serum‘ sent to me over the weekend and I figured I’d give it a shot while testing out my new blue pumps (which of course are in my shopping collage). All in all it’s pretty awesome! It comes in a cute little green tube and with just one squirt you rub it on the balls of your feet, ankles and anywhere else you typically get foot pain and voila! Pain is gone…it’s like a numbing cream for heels and it’s amazing.

Tis’ the season to dress like a favorite holiday time treat…a candy cane of course! I instantly fell in love with this ensemble the second I slipped into it and decided that it was a total ‘Holiday‘ must! Who doesn’t love to dress up like a candy cane for Christmas? Now they won’t just be hanging on the tree…but also in your closet 😉 Now that’s what I’d like to call…sweet! It’s the next look up in my ‘Holiday Dressing’ guide…you can see previous looks here, here + here.
Before breaking down the look I wanted to just say I hope you all had a fabulous ‘Pre-Christmas’ weekend! I got some holiday shopping done (which
may have included some gift giving to myself…oops) and I also checked out a ‘Holiday Light Spectacular’ on Long Island…if you’d like to follow my holiday adventures follow me on instagram at @MissyOnMadison (P.S. You can also shop my day to day insta posts via LikeToKnow. It Register Today!)So it’s all about the red and white with today’s look. I based my whole look around a simple red and white striped scarf (the one I am wearing is from Old Navy and is
no longer available) but I found similar options (that are on sale of course) here + here. After the scarf came into play…the rest of the outfit just fell into place. Old Navy always has a great selection of solid sweaters that can be worn for any occasion, so I grabbed this white scoop neck sweater on sale for under $20! (Great last minute gift idea ladies and gents!)
I’ve had this red faux leather skirt for over a year now and I honestly can’t remember where I snagged it but I found a similar one from BCBG at 6pm.com on sale here!
As if the skirt wasn’t enough red…add on one of my favorite styles from Rebecca Minkoff…the ‘mini affair bag‘! Zappos has it on sale now with free shipping here.
I decided to go simple with the shoes (couldn’t add any more red…would have been a bit much…don’t ya think?!) So nude patent leather pumps are always chic and are an essential for every fashionista’s wardrobe.
The ones I found on sale are from Michael Kors and they also have a ‘flex’ foot bed to add extra comfort for the woman on the go!
Stay tuned for a last minute gift guide tomorrow…don’t worry everyone procrastinates (even me!) PS you can shop my previous gift guides here:

Happy Tuesday Lovers! I am writing this post at midnight while watching my favorite late night talk show…Watch What Happens Live hosted by my ever favorite Andy Cohen (P.S. his new book is out now & would make a perfect holiday gift for the Housewives lover in your life..hint-hint get it here) OK now back to the basics…how I rocked a bomber jacket take 1.
I spotted this bomber jacket (from Old Navy…no longer available) a few weeks ago and wasn’t sure if it was truly me…I know absolutely nothing about sports…rarely rock sports related apparel and it reminded me of something out of a Justin Bieber music video (circa ‘Baby’ with Ludacris). But I discovered how to style it…with a classic white faux leather skirt and black crop top.
As if the white skirt and crop top didn’t make this bomber jacket girly enough add a killer pair of heeled booties…maybe like these Altuzarra for Target booties that I am currently selling on Poshmark here.
My bag is an essential for every gal…Rebecca Minkoff ‘Mini Mac’ Bag. I have it in a variety of colors but black is always a classic…it matches with absolutely everything and is the ideal going out back or even an easy one to carry when running errands.
On a side note…In addition to obsessing over how I actually made a bomber jacket girly and how to have it do
absolutely nothing with sports, I am super excited for the premiere of Lisa Edelstein’s new show on Bravo (hey I told you I was watching WWHL while writing this…) ‘Girlfriend’s Guide To Divorce’! Pretty sure “Go Find Yourself” while become the newest craze…I love the clips I’ve seen and I can’t wait to see how the story unfolds!P.S. I hope you had a productive weekend of shopping…I know I definitely did. Last night alone I snagged a few exciting essentials which I will share with you this weekend don’t you worry 😉

Happy Thursday Lovers! Today’s post has a fun backdrop because I teamed up with Perrier water to promote their new ‘street art’ inspired bottle design! I searched high and low on Long Island to find some funky street art and bam I found it…in the village…Huntington Village that is! When I hear the term ‘street art’ I would naturally gravitate towards NYC, Brooklyn or Queens, but my lovely Long Island surprised me with this awesome artwork painted on the side of a bar a half hour from my house. This is one village that isn’t part of the Manhattan social scene, but it definitely is the party time hot spot on the island!
It was freezing when I shot this look…like the first day of winter cold…and this was two weeks ago…do you feel my pain yet? So over the cold and the season just started! While I am not a fan of winter weather, something I am a fan of is faux fur vests like this one from Karen Kane (similar available from Chicwish here). I love adding a faux fur vest to any look…what gal doesn’t want to feel edgy, feisty and fabulous right?
I wore a simple white Old Navy sweater under the vest…black and white…you can never go wrong…oh yeah and I added some bling: Elephant Necklace & Initial Triangle Necklace (both of which make amazing gifts btw!)
As for my arm party…I always gravitate towards my gold Michael Kors watch and this simple Marc Jacobs disc bangle. These pieces of bling go with any outfit and are perfect for fall layering!
So in addition to my white sweater and my black faux fur vest another fall essential that I am all about is vegan leather leggings like these ones I’m wearing from Lysse! They are super comfortable, totally on trend and best of all? They can be dressed up or down something I am always about 😉
Once again…mirrored aviators and the new Perrier Street Art water bottles!
I bought this Louis Vuitton Neverfull as a Christmas gift to myself last year (hey that’s what happens when you get bad holiday gifts…prevent that by shopping my holiday gift guides here, here & here.
And these shoes are definitely a favorite of mine for fall. I have worn them a few times both with skirts and with pants: here, here & here….what can I say when I find a pair of comfortable and stylish shoes, I stick with them!
P.S. I have an extra way to keep you warm and fuzzy…a NEW Giveaway started yesterday 😉 Check out details and Enter below <3
