It feels like it was just yesterday that we were in Disney World on vacation to celebrate my birthday, our anniversary + an early Valentine’s Day. We laughed, we cried (jk def no crying at Disney World haha :p) + we had the absolute best time!
ICYMI – I am a total Disney lover + kid at heart. Before heading to the park, I rounded up some of my favorite Disney styles + picks (great for your next Disney World or Disney Land trip). From the spectacular shows, to awesome rides, to tasty treats, to fun character moments, I LOVE going to Disney World + luckily my boyfriend + I have been making it our little tradition for the past two years!
Since we have become somewhat of Disney pros hehe :p I wanted to share some of my favorite parts of the various parks, exciting moments you won’t want to miss + so much more!
I would say my favorite parks are hands down Hollywood Studios + Magic Kingdom, we always spend the majority of our time at those because they have the best rides, experiences + photo moments!
One of my favorite parts of Disney World this time that was finally open when we were there this time was Toy Story Land at Hollywood Studios! I LOVE Toy Story (the little green aliens are my obsession hehe) so I couldn’t wait to check out the built out area that was a replica of Andy’s backyard (toys + all)!
Last year one of my favorite rides at Hollywood Studios was ‘Toy Story Mania‘ which is basically a ride + arcade game all in one! My boyfriend + I love arcade games and love a little friendly competition, so this ride is the perfect combination of both. It is a 4D ride where you go against your partner to shoot at different objects from plates to balloons with an interactive shooter in your ride cart (let me just tell ya it is quite the arm workout hehe :p). Every time we went on it, I went on planning to win but my boyfriend always won (I need to practice before next year’s trip hehe).
While I loved ‘Toy Story Mania‘, we couldn’t wait to go on the new ‘Slinky Dog Dash‘ (we saw them building it last year when we visited so to be able to go on it this year was super exciting)! Imagine soaring through Andy’s backyard on a roller coaster made from Slinky Dog…it is beyond fun! We went on it probably 5 times while we were there – definitely worth the over hour wait!
I always love the rides at Hollywood Studios but the treats + souvenirs are also a favorite of mine. I saw the green alien popcorn pail all over social media + couldn’t wait to get my hands on it when we arrived – it was probably my favorite purchase we made at the park haha! My boyfriend made the alien voice everywhere we went saying ‘OOOHH The Claw‘ (Toy Story 2 reference) so it made our trip even more fun. We even brought the little guy along with us on the new ‘Alien Swirling Saucers‘ ride (also at Hollywood Studios in Toy Story Land).
While we didn’t spend too much time at Epcot or Animal Kingdom, we did love one ride in particular at Animal Kingdom…’Expedition Everest‘! It is a high speed roller coaster where you are trying to escape a scary Yeti (although I find Yeti’s kinda adorable hehe – we even bought a cute one in the gift shop after going on the ride multiple times).
I love seeing all of the nature + animals at Animal Kingdom but next time we definitely want to check out all of the Avatar related rides + the night show (we didn’t plan ahead with those + the wait times were 2+ hours).
ICYMI – Disney World has Fast Pass+where you can book 3 Fast Passes a day for one park up to 30 days in advance of your visit! It is a really awesome feature so you can assure to get on the rides you want with little to no wait times (we used them for a lot of the Toy Story Land attractions). After you use up your 3 passes for one day you can book passes 1 by one for the same park you are at or a different park.
We always opt to get Park Hoppers for each day we go so we can ‘hop‘ around from park to park! We like to spend the day at one park + then experience the different end of night shows at the various parks.
While I love the rides at Disney World, some of my favorite experiences are the parades, shows + fireworks at the end of the night! They always excite me + really make you feel like you are experiencing the magic of Disney!
My favorite shows are Fantasmic at Hollywood Studios. It is a combination of water effects, fireworks, Mickey performing + so much more…it is truly an incredible experience and it is one show I highly recommend you don’t miss when visiting!
For Star Wars fans while the new Galaxy Edge section of the park won’t be open till fall 2019, you can check out the Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular. It happens every evening and is a combination of clips from the movies projected in the middle of the park with special effects like fire + fireworks – it truly is remarkable.
At Magic Kingdom their ‘Happily Ever After‘ show is truly a fairytale moment! I get so emotional + even cry during it hehe :p Tears of joy of course haha!
The show has clips from tons of Disney movies highlighting love, friendship + the magic that is in your heart if you just believe.
I am also a huge fan of Magic Kingdom, One because of Cinderella’s Castle (of course) but because of how every time I take photos in front of it, I feel like a Disney princess. I planned for months on what I was going to wear for the trip, ordered special Minnie Mouse Ears, apparel + so much more to really embrace the Disney magic.
Magic Kingdom also has some of the best Disney shopping on Main Street. From great souvenirs to yummy Mickey shaped treats, every time I visit Magic Kingdom I feel like a kid again!
Are you ready to experience the magic of Disney World?
I hope you are all getting some much needed rest + relaxation (and maybe a little sun depending where you are)! I am still in a vacay state-of-mind so I wanted to share a fun summer getaway inspired look to warm things up (it was actually pretty damn cold in LA yesterday + it made me desperately want to fly back to Florida haha). The best part about vacations (other than the fact you are on vacation) is all of the cute tropical inspired looks you can create.
I for one was all about straw accessories while away + still am…they are super cute + easy to style on vacation without worrying about getting them dirty with sand etc. Check out the full look below ♥
I lived in this chambray dress while in Florida. It’s super comfy + chambray is great for warm climates + matches with everything while away.
I linked to some of my favorite chambray dress options below!
As for my accessories – straw all the way! This floppy hat + tote have been my obsession…how can they not be? You look at them + just think vacation!
My wedges are an older style from Tory Burch (no longer available) but I linked to some similar new styles for the season below.
Feels like spring spirit! I was beyond thrilled at how warm NYC was yesterday…I actually got to show some leg (an appropriate amount of course…) and not have to bundle up in layers…Spring has Sprung! This look is the epitome of spring…white skinny jeans, bright colors, white pumps and a signature pair of sunnies…out with the dark hues and in with shades of light! This ensemble was shot back when I was in Florida for my Birthday a few weeks ago and I am already itching for another trip (seriously is it May yet…LA here I come)! Yesterday was a busy work day…I brought four of my blogger gal pals to Kleinfeld to have their very own Cinderella moment in honor of the movie coming to theaters Friday and let’s just say it was a magical afternoon 😉 Follow @KleinfeldBridal to find out more…but as for my outfit…well you have to read on to get your own ‘happily ever after‘ :pSpeak of color, I had to wear this blue face Michael Kors watch again for this post (yes I know I just wore it Monday#SorryNotSorry :p) When an outfit has so many different colors sometimes to pull the look together, a chic classic bag is necessary like the black quilted ‘Affair’ bag from Rebecca Minkoff here. And naturally a killer pair of sunnies (especially bright ones like these) are needed to really embrace the warmer weather and to make a statement.
I must admit I have a slightobsession with white…white jeans…white pumps#AllWhiteEverything…with a ‘Pop Of Color‘ of course 😉 Although white is a challenge to keep clean, when worn properly it is so classy, chic, fresh and clean…and it can match with so many different options and in the spring I am always wanting to mix and match!
My buddies here in Disney want to wish you a Magical Monday! While I should be sitting at my desk right now prepping for tomorrow’s huge Sample Sale and my BIRTHDAY…I am currently stuck in Disney for an extra day (so tragic I know…NOT!). My flight got canceled due to some more snow in New York…fine by me…I will stay here…with my character friends, eating some Mickey shaped treats and relaxing under the palm trees…
This photo was taken at my favorite Disney restaurant…Chef Mickey! I have been going there since I was five years old so I felt it was only suiting to celebrate my birthday there (stay tuned to the blog tomorrow to celebrate my birthday with a little celebration in Celebration, Florida! PS Balloons are involved!)
I can’t get over the perfect weather…not too hot yet not too cold and the gorgeous blue skies…it truly feels magical!
‘It’s A Small World’ has been one of my go-to rides since I was a child (want to hear a little secret? It’s my mom’s FAVORITE ride). Naturally I had to snap a pic of this shop inside Disney Hollywood Studios…it’s Vogue…duh! Like What I Am Wearing At The Park?
