Happy Monday ♥ Time for another busy week but I am actually excited about the weekend being over because it means we are that much closer to Thursday which is when my dad is flying out from NY to visit me! I am SO excited since this is going to be the first time he has seen me in LA since we road tripped here for my big move 2 years ago (it’s officially 2 years as of June 8th)! Crazy how time flies huh? Here’s to TWO years + many more successful years to come in LA LA Land! Anyways, my dad will finally see his little girl all grown up with her own place (and TWO walk in closets), settled in just fine. Maybe there will be a new ‘walk in’ closet for every year I am in LA…hopefully next year brings three haha I am sure I will accumulate plenty of more clothes + shoes by then :p

I spent the weekend trying to get my apartment in tip-top shape…I have never felt so domestic lol Between cleaning, laundry + cooking, I am officially ready to change my name to ‘Missy Stewart‘ haha move over Martha 😉

Besides hanging home I did a little shopping at one of my favorite stores to get the best ‘Looks For Less‘…Old Navy!

I scored this floral fit + flare dress for just $19 at Old Navy + I paired it with this Old Navy denim jacket also on sale! The perfect outfit for under $50 – what a great steal!

I decided to add some pops of color with my Vera Bradley Cross Body Emerald Bag + these Gianvito Rossi Lace Up Sandals that I scored at Barney’s NY Outlet for just $100! Yup – normally $800 and I scored them for $100, oh how I love a good trip to the outlets (the one out in palm desert is my absolute favorite)!

Feelin’ Fringy…and feeling ready for the weekend! Work has been cray cray (running all the social channels + planning upcoming videos is a lot of work…exciting but work haha :p) In case you haven’t been in the loop, in addition to managing all of the BH Cosmetics social media, I took on directing + planning the YouTube videos as well…getting my feet wet in the video world is a ton of fun and is kinda giving me the itch to want to focus more on YouTube videos myself…what do you think? Should MissyOnMadison head to YouTube (although I already have a channel, I would love to get on there and doing videos on a consistent basis)! We shall see what happens♥ BUT exciting news, this is the first outfit post shot in Burbank…my new HOME town! woohoo!

Till I decide to step up my YouTube game, let’s break down this look the old fashion way 😉

My navy blue midi skirt is from Uniqlo, I paired it with a simple white crop top and layered a white denim jacket from Old Navy over that. Anytime I wear a high waisted midi skirt I pair it with a crop top — just seems to make sense…the shirt to skirt ratio? haha is that a thing? I am making it a thing :p

My fringe heels are from AMI Clubwear and are perfect for jeans, a skirt, a dress…just about anything! The taupe color and the low heel are ideal for everyday wear and are perfect for the office to happy hour.

And for an added Pop Of Color I like to wear this Kendra Scott Rayne necklace (I have it in cobalt + pink)♥

Happy Monday! Back to the daily grind…Kinda wishing I can stay in bed today but gotta do what ya gotta do 😉 I spent my weekend furniture shopping for my new apartment (I found the P E R F E C T mirror for morning SnapChat selfies :p (If you don’t follow me on SnapChat you totally should — MissyOnMadison)

One thing I love about working in LA, is that work wear style is super casual…so lace up flats and animal print = Y E S! I love a LBD like this one because it can be dressed up or down…so for a casual work day, I wear a denim jacket or cardigan with it and for dinner I wear a blazer over it.

I am really getting into animal print and these leopard lace up flats and my Vera Bradley leopard satchel are perfect for work or play!

And even my Le Specs sunnies have a hint of leopard with the tortoise shell style frames!

B U T there is the occasional rain spell, wind storm (like we are currently having) + even some chilly temperatures. So what is an LA transplant who is expecting endless sunshine to do? Get personalized weather forecasts straight to her phone so she is ready to seize the day of course 😉 And now that is possible with Poncho — the first weather app tailored to YOU with cute gifs, adorable sayings + plenty of colorful graphics (and we know how much I LOVE color)!

Boulevard Of Broken Dreams…pretty sure that’s what many think when it comes to the idea of ‘making it’ in Hollywood. The common perception here when you tell someone you moved to LA from anywhere (especially when you are a female) is that you are an aspiring actress or model…well I’m ~~neither~~ haha Just your average gal with a passion for taking photos of any and everything :p

These photos were shot just weeks before I moved here…never did I think I’d be living just minutes away from Hollywood Blvd…ain’t life crazy?

Keeping this post short + sweet because to be honest I am beyond drained from the holiday weekend and getting back into the swing of things at work…The first day back to work after a holiday weekend is always a challenge…#TheStruggleIsReal
