Mondays are made for…new spring outfit inspo. I hope everyone had a great weekend (I know I sure did!) and had a Happy Mother’s Day! I spent my weekend embracing the fabulous weather and beginning my search for perfect clothes for my upcoming trip to LA! It is quite challenging to find trendy, sexy yet cute and casual picks that are ideal for a little getaway…sooo safe to say my search rages on…
Happy Friday Loves! I feel like the summer weeks are flying by and I don’t want them to leave. I had a lovely day yesterday with my new Long Island blogger friends, Sarah and Kelly…let’s just say blogging was the least of what we discussed. So it’s Sarah and Kelly’s new goal to set me up with some decent guys…I’ve never shared this but…I’ve been doing the whole online dating thing on and off for a little while now and it’s safe to say it’s been…interesting.I tend to pick the wrong guys or maybe as Carrie Bradshaw says ‘I do not pick the wrong guys, they pick me’…either way haha dating has become quite the challenge, for me at least. So while I search for Mr. Right, I will stick with talking about what I know best…fashion. My paint splattered dress was another Charlotte Russe find (did you see my neon one yesterday…I got both of these beauties, buy one get one 50% off…score). It’s no longer available but I found a similar dress at Zappos (with an amazing print!)My white cross body bag was a Saks Off Fifth find from Badgley Mischka (I found a similar one from Rebecca Minkoff) and my block sandals are from Old Navy…I love the unexpected reaction when people ask ‘where are your shoes from?’ and I respond…Old Navy 😉 (BTW they are on sale now!)Shop My Look Below<3
Happy Monday Loves! I hope you all had a fabulous weekend of rest and relaxation like myself. I re-designed my site…what do you guys think?! I’d love to hear your feedback! So I spent a majority of my weekend on my computer by the pool attempting to teach myself coding, html and web design…it went so so haha Occasionally you have to call in the big guns, so maybe that’ll be happening soon (I love change…don’t you?) Something else I totally love is today’s outfit post. Simple, professional and totally chic…you can never go wrong with a black skirt and a fun printed top, like this leopard button down I’m wearing. I do love animal print, but in good taste…I don’t think I can handle the amount of leopard Snooki used to rock (I prefer her current style…she’s killin it, thank god Jersey Shore days are over!) I’m currently obsessed with this black scuba skirt from Target, which is on sale for $8 btw…not kidding! I also found a similar skirt minus the drop waist style available from Topshop now! My shoes are an Old Navy find…they are also my current obsession, I feel like they go with every outfit and I know I’ve been posting them a lot lately #sorrynotsorry 😉 Block sandals are a huge trend this season and I believe they will be transitioned into the fall season as well…as a matter of fact my whole look can be a fall office ensemble! My bag is from Dominie Luxury and I’ve received countless compliments on it. Just yesterday a lady at the nail salon asked me to write down the brand and style so she can purchase it…good thing I carry ‘Missy On Madison’ cards 😉 Spice up your workday wardrobe with a little leopard…I dare you 😉 Shop My Look <3
Happy Thursday Loves! Figured I’d brighten things up today with a little hot pink number…the ‘Plastics’ may wear pink on Wednesday’s, but I’m wearing pink today…on a Thursday…trend setter anyone 😉 This lovely look was shot in Southampton last week (shortly after my sister and I spotted the Kardashian Klan eating lunch in the town). I loved this little area with the head statues…my sister and I wear trying to figure out who they were since they lacked a description, but I’m pretty sure they are famous philosophers…who knows I may be wrong 😉 My lovely friends over at Dietch PR sent me this Miche Bag to style and I must say you can get quite a lot out of it. The coolest thing about this bag is you can buy a ‘base’ bag and then change the outside pattern…pretty cool right? My shoes once again are my current summer sandal obsession from Old Navy…aren’t they fab? BTW they are on sale now!I loved this look because minus the hot pink cami, it is pretty work appropriate as well. Simply rock beige shorts, a white blazer and a chiffon top and you are ready for the office! Those are the best kind of outfits, ones that transition from work to play! In addition I’d like to share a little tid bit that my gal pals Cara, Kristi and I have discussed…haters. Cara, Kristi, myself and tons of other bloggers out there put ourselves in the public eye and yes for the most part, the reactions are positive, but occasionally you get those mean spirited haters. I’d like to say this…hate all you want, it takes guts and confidence to do what we do. I am in no way a ‘model’ I hit the gym every day and try to eat right but it takes hard work and dedication to be ‘skinny’, trust me my gym partner Christina (who started her own fitness and nutrition blog) talk about this everyday, but one thing we have that you haters out there don’t, is the guts to truly show who we are, imperfections and all…if you want to hate do that, I’ve learned weak people break others down, while strong people are the ones who build people up 😉 On that note, I have some more blogging to do 😉
