Brighten Things Up…

Happy Tuesday Lovers! Ok I know it’s fall and that usually means sweaters, scarves, coats and tons of layers but maybe for just this once (or maybe a few times more to come) I want to go against the grain and go back to my old time favs…neon, open toe sandals, graphic tees and light wash jeans! Did I mention how much I dislike the cold weather? Well I must say for being born and raised in New York, it hasn’t made me any better at dealing with the temperature drop, dark skies or bitter cold…and I am truly contemplating a move to a warmer climate (still thinking about whether this is my impulse reaction to the beginning of winter in NYC or if it is a true feeling I should jump on….guess we will have to wait and see).Now to be completely honest this light weight neon moto jacket from Karen Kane (simialr available at Last Call Neiman Marcus here) doesn’t truly keep me warm…but it makes one hell of statement 😉 Statement necklace, statement jacket…what more can a gal ask for!This moto jacket was the perfect piece to layer over a basic graphic tee like this ‘Holy Chic‘ one from Old Navy (unfortunately it is no longer available but my love Rebecca Minkoff makes one here).I love a great fitting light wash jean…especially when I cuff them over like I did in this post. I know light wash is traditionally for spring or summer, but I am a firm believer that these jeans can be transitioned into fall with boots or chic pumps for any occasion. I found a great pair of light wash jeans from Nordstrom on SALE here.Now for the shoes and bag…all that ~~matters~~ right? 😉I love this Rebecca Minkoff ‘Affair Bag’ because it is a unique style that they no longer make. Yes, I have the black one which is pretty common, but when I spotted this tan bag with the neon trim I instantly fell in love…any hint of neon makes me smile 🙂My nude ankle strap heels are reminiscent of the Stuart Weitzman ‘Nudist’ Sandal…except the version I am wearing is a quarter of the price 😉 Hey I love a great ‘Look For Less’…what fashionista doesn’t!| *Click To Shop This Post* |

Happy Thursday Lovers! Yes, I realize tomorrow is Halloween and it is far into fall, but sorry I’m not giving up my neon obsession! Today I color coordinated my neon Harlow necklace form Kendra Scott with my neon yellow Cambridge Satchel bag…the only way to wear neon right?A little fun fact about me? I absolutely love and live in skirts and dresses…so it can be the dead of winter and I would most likely attempt to rock a look like this…not the most practical but hey sometimes practical is boring if you ask me 😉 The lovely team at Kendra Scott sent me this Harlow necklace which I instantly fell in love with…I bet you can see why. Coincidentally it ended up matching my neon Cambridge Satchel…I’m actually selling it on Poshmark now because although I love neon and this bag…I rarely get to give it all of the face time it deserves…you can shop it here.I LOVE nude ankle strap heels for fall, spring, summer or simply anytime (except for in the snow…that may be a little too much for me to handle haha). I got these beauties at Payless but found a similar pair from 6pm.com here.This initial cuff from C Wonder is not only a great piece for every fashionista to have, but it is the PERFECT gift idea (hint, hint) for your mom, sister, boss, co-worker or your best friend! Who doesn’t love a simple yet chic piece of bling!Now for my ensemble…my purple crop cami top is from ASOS (you can score it now on sale for $10…amazing!). My quilted gray mini skirt is a clearance find from Lord & Taylor and you can shop it here (dress it up like I did or dress it down with some sneakers for a casual look). Finally, my favorite ever go to blazer…LC Lauren Conrad at Kohls…I turn to my white blazer more often times than I do my black blazer. Happy Wednesday Loves! Time to share another fun outfit shoot from out east! These photos were taken out at Martha Clara Vineyards on Long Island and I couldn’t be happier with how they turned out 🙂 Sarah’s photographer did wonders what can I say! My black crop top and my white moto vest are both from the Jennifer Lopez for Kohls collection (I love great steals don’t you?). My layered necklaces are from Nordstrom…I love a simple horizontal bar necklace to layer with any piece and of course my star necklace which has been a favorite of my for a while now 🙂 While I am not a big drinker, I like heading out east to wine country simply for the atmosphere, like I mentioned in yesterday’s post, sometimes you just need to get away from the stress of everyday life! My gray tulle skirt is also from Kohls…but this time from LC By Lauren Conrad. I love all of her pieces…they fit my style perfectly. My nude ankle strap heels are actually from Payless but I found similar ones from Michael Antonio. My python clutch and gold link watch are both Michael Kors…I like quality I suppose haha plus he is always on trend. Simple accessories for a simple look 🙂

Happy Wednesday Loves! While I love to wear fun and casual outfits, sometimes I need to play dress up and act like an adult (just sometimes 😉 ). I’ve discovered it’s become easier in today’s day and age to not only dress office appropriate, but stylish as well. It’s all about hemlines, cuts and colors. I enjoy a great ‘Pop Of Color’ even when it comes to office wear!My ever favorite white boyfriend blazer is from the LC By Lauren Conrad collection at Kohls. I realized all of my blazers are pretty much from that collection…what can I say I’m a gal that gets stuck on what I like, is that a crime? 😉 My cobalt blue blouse is from Old Navy. It adds just the right amount of color to stand out at the office without being inappropriate. I love my black scuba skirt from Target. The scuba fabric has been a summer favorite as well as a personal favorite of mine! Now for my shoes, as if I haven’t already shared the deets on these a bunch of times, they were a Payless find! Yes, I will forever be stunned that I found my perfect nude ankle strap sandal at Payless…it was the best purchase I had ever made there! My snakeskin envelope clutch is from Target. I love how unique it is. I was never a big clutch fan (I always need a huge bag to carry everything including the kitchen sink) but for some reason I fell hard for this bag the moment I spotted it…I’d say the $8 price tag helped contribute to the love affair as well 😉 Sometimes dressing professional isn’t as boring as it seems 😉 Or at least when it comes to me it isn’t! Even at the office, don’t be afraid to stand out…life is too short to simply fit in! Shop My Look<3
