Nude Ankle Strap Heels : Printed Halter Dress : Aqua Blue Tote : Ray Ban Aviators

Summer may technically be over (today is actually the first day of fall) but I still have a warm weather state of mind 😉 This halter dress (similar style linked here) has been a staple of me all summer long (and it probably will be in fall as well). This is my date night go to / girls night out wear! I love how flattering this silhouette is and it can easily be transitioned for fall with a chic cardigan or classic blazer!Another summer staple I am transitioning to fall — these nude ankle strap heels! These are the perfect year round shoes! The nude hue elongates the legs and can instantly dress up any look.

As if this printed dress weren’t already enough of a ‘Pop Of Color‘, this aqua blue tote was sure to do the trick! (similar style linked here).

Happy Humpday Loves! Sorry if I have been a little ~~MIA~~…LA vibes had me relaxing and enjoying a break from my hectic schedule but I am right back at it with events, posting and outfit shoots (ugh take me back to Cali stat!). This look was shot before I flew off to Los Angeles and let me tell ya it wasn’t even ~~warm~~ enough there to wear this! Who would have thought that Long Island would have nicer weather than LA…apparently the term for it is ‘June Gloom’ well that it was :p

And it’s Thursday…I can’t believe how quick this week has flown by already as I am writing this from sunny California! The sun is shining, the palm trees are looking as pretty as ever and I have a hectic schedule planned ahead. So far my brother and I have visited USC (which has the most GORGEOUS campus ever btw…If I wanted to put myself in ~~debt~~ with student loans and pursue a Masters USC would definitely be the place…just saying :p)

Anyways, I digress…this tropical spring look is currently with me in LA and I am contemplating whether to wear it tonight to the Polo Lounge in the Beverly Hills Hotel or to wear it tomorrow night to SUR (because it wouldn’t be a trip to LA without stalking Lisa Vanderpump…yup I am a Bravo addict #GuiltyAsCharged)

It’s #ShoesdayTuesday and what better way to put a little ‘Spring‘ in your step than with a round up of the top footwear trends for spring…everything from neon, to fringe to white pumps to nude sandals…the shoes you’ve been looking for all in one place AND all at affordable prices (nothing over $135! hey I know I am ~~not~~ the only girl on a budget here :p)

One of my favorite parts about spring is being able to show off a fresh new pedicure, ditch the layers of ~~socks~~ and ~~boots~~ and feel girly and free…I am not a ~~winter~~ person (anyone who knows me that comes as no surprise…I despise the cold and opt for a nice 60-70 degree temperature everyday).

The only issue I have with spring/summer footwear? The marks and blisters I get on my feet…normally with the right footwear I am ok, but I actually got this cool new product called ‘Sole Serum‘ sent to me over the weekend and I figured I’d give it a shot while testing out my new blue pumps (which of course are in my shopping collage). All in all it’s pretty awesome! It comes in a cute little green tube and with just one squirt you rub it on the balls of your feet, ankles and anywhere else you typically get foot pain and voila! Pain is gone…it’s like a numbing cream for heels and it’s amazing.

Happy Monday Lovers! I’m bringing a little warmth back to the blog with this whimsical white pleated dress that I loved all summer long except I had to somewhat make it transition to the colder fall and winter months…my solution? A motorcycle jacket of course 😉 And yes to answer your question, I was freezing when shooting this over the weekend…but how does the old saying go? Pain is beauty…in this case toughing out the cold NY weather is the cost to look halfway decent on the blog haha I love all things girly girl and in case this look didn’t scream ‘girly‘, I will reassure you that not every girl loves pleated dresses but It’s an essential for every fashionista to have in their closet. Whether it’s a pleated skirt or even a dress like the one I’m wearing, it’s a timeless piece that will never go out of style and that’s something I can always get behind. I honestly can’t remember where I got this dress but I found two similar options here + here. To make the look a little edgier, I layered a black motorcycle jacket over it which A) kept me semi warm while shooting + B) Made the look a little less ‘frilly’ and ‘girly’ than it has typically looked previously. I found a motorcycle jacket I LOVE from Piperlime and it retails for under $50 now that’s what I call a steal!Now to break down the shoe and bag game…which is always my favorite part of any look. What a girl can’t love her shoes and bags? 😉 My nude ankle strap sandals have been a favorite of mine to wear on the blog for a while now because A) Nude shoes make you look taller and for a 5’3 shortie like me, I could use all the height I could get to pretend to be a model haha! + B) They match with EVERYTHING! They are available for under $50 at 6pm.com here.My bag was a TJ Maxx clearance find but I found a similar one from Nordstrom except in a different shade. I can never get enough of the design of the Rebecca Minkoff Affair Bag and this mini one is no excpetion…plus it came in the girliest of colors…pink! What else can a gal ask for?!I also opted to rock some sunnies once again and instead of going to my favorite mirrored aviators, I switched things up with black ones here.On a side note I became obsessed with a new song over the weekend which I am currently listening to while writing this post. It’s called ‘Say Something’ from Karen Harding and all I want to do is basically dance my a** off every time I hear it (sorry mom but yea I curse…even on the blog).
