Happy Monday Loves! I once again am beating Monday blues with a little…Blue! I am OBSESSED with the whole moto jacket trend for fall…and I love it even more when I can find great ones at an affordable price like this powder blue moto jacket from Apt.9 at Kohls! Never doubt the possibility of finding a great trend piece for less without forgoing on quality 😉 So time to reveal a little secret…A few people have asked on here and on instagram about if the weather where I am is still warm…well no not really haha. My brother shoots my outfits and we tend to shoot a bunch of looks at a time so I have looks I’ve shot in the warmer weather that will be sprinkled in amongst colder weather looks on the blog. I definitely couldn’t have rocked this skirt ensemble yesterday because it was FREEZING on Long Island…I only got one outfit shot because I was too chicken to fight the cold…pretty sure I’m meant to be in warmer climate lol (insert monkey covering eyes emoji here)Now let’s break down the look…My white crop top is from J Lo for Kohls and you can score it now for…drum roll please $4! YES $4. Dress it up, dress it down and wear it season to season. And I made it perfect for fall by layering the moto jacket and adding a cute black floppy hat. A simple black scuba skirt is always a sure bet to tie a look together and the best part is that it is a transitional piece to wear year round.I had to have my traditional ‘Pop Of Color’ by adding this magenta Rayne necklace from Kendra Scott…what better way to bring summer into the fall / winter.These black suede boots have been an absolute life saver when it comes to easily feeling sexy in the cold fall weather. Happy Wednesday Loves! Time to share my last look that was shot by the fabulous William Thomas at the Martha Clara Vineyard out on Eastern Long Island. This adorable barn was the perfect backdrop for this fall look which is mostly from…drum roll please…Kohls! Yup…not kidding my bag (out of stock similar from Michael Kors here), top and moto jacket all from Kohls 🙂

The second I spotted this bag I fell in love because it reminded me of the Stella McCartney signature bag that has been spotted on celebrities everywhere. I love a great ‘Look For Less’ alternative and while this bag is actually out of stock on the Kohls website, I found a very similar one still in the ‘reasonable’ price range from Michael Kors 🙂My burgundy jeggings are from Hue. Hue is one of my go to brands for comfy fall bottoms. I love jeans, but Hue jeggings and leggings just hug every curve perfectly…my dream <3 Black suede pumps for fall are also a necessity…can’t step out without standing out in classic pumps!

My gray moto jacket is from Apt. 9 at Kohls…I loved it so much I actually got it in a powder blue as well (stay tuned to see it styled two ways!). Moto jackets for fall are a total must in Missy’s world! And the top my post is named after…Juicy Couture for Kohls. It’s funny…I worshipped Juicy Couture in middle school and had their infamous velour track suits in every color (typical Long Island pre-teen what can I say)…now years later here I am rocking the more affordable Juicy Couture line on my blog…some things never change huh?

These red, black and gray hues scream fall and I think they are staples for the season, don’t you?

Happy Weekend Loves! It’s time for another weekend wish list and this weekend’s theme is all about fall! I am super excited for fall fashion…not necessarily fall. What can I say I’m a summer gal 😉 {Click Each Item To Shop Direct}

Just because I love summer doesn’t mean I’m not looking forward to some fabulous fall looks…which I will start putting together this weekend (tons of outfit shoots in the works)! I’m currently lusting after a few pieces for fall…can you blame me? New seasons = new excuses to buy things!

I love the Pashli bag from 3.1 Phillip Lim, especially in the orchid color shown above. Yes, I know a bright purple is more summer than fall but hey if I can make it work, I will. I also love a great nude lip for fall and actually year round, this Tom Ford shade is flawless…just what I needed. It wouldn’t be fall without a chic moto jacket…luckily my pick above is from Forever 21! Affordable and stylish…now that’s fashion at it’s finest 😉

Sad to say, but I’m writing this post not staring out at a gorgeous view in sunny California but looking out at flowers blooming back in NYC. That’s the thing about vacations they happen, they are amazing and then they end…back to reality. What can ya do!

Kristi was such a great host when I was in LA and she made sure I saw all the ‘must see’ tourist attractions, which of course meant…heading to Hollywood! We stopped by the Hollywood Sign, the Hollywood Walk Of Fame and the legendary Chinese Theater!

I’m embracing color in preparation for my trip to California for Lucky Fabb West 2014! This, I believe will be one of the many…and I mean many looks I will be packing for my 4 day trip! I’m already prepping myself for my luggage being overweight at the airport but I’m a firm believer in the fact that you can never be too prepared for what’s to come. I have quite the itinerary planned for my Cali trip, and the right outfit is always essential!

While it’s rainy and dreary in the big apple today, this look can brighten up any day. I’m probably one of the few gals who dares to wear a lime green moto jacket but let me tell ya…it’s head turning 😉 What girl doesn’t like to make a statement! In addition, spicing the look up with white jeans and mirrored sunnies is suiting for a walk down Rodeo Drive don’t ya think?

I got this Karen Kane jacket gifted to me and I love it. It’s unique, different and neon…all of my favorite things wrapped into one stylish look! When I slip it on I feel kind of bad ass…all I’m missing is my bike 😉 Maybe one day right? Anyways, in addition to neon, a fashion item I will always be a fan of is a crisp pair of white jeans. Once you find the right pair that flatters your figure, they are sexy with just about everything and yes, I break fashion rules by wearing white jeans year round…oops!

Fashion is all about breaking the rules and finding your own personal style. You know what flatters your body, you know what works and what doesn’t. I believe that following the trend isn’t always ideal because not every trend works for every girl. I will always love neon while other gals may hate it. I will never rock a crop top because hey I am not a twig, and flared jeans simply don’t look as fabulous on me as they do on Rachel Zoe. Pick and choose wisely…every trend is open to interpretation 🙂
