I hope ya’ll had a great weekend + a happy Monday! I’ve been swamped with work, events + planning my BF’s birthday…we finally decided on Vegas so stay tuned for lots of fun posts from there! I haven’t been to Vegas in a year + my boo hasn’t been there in like 5 years so we are ready to have some fun…while we aren’t big gamblers, we are fully scoping out the roller coasters, shows + attractions haha :p
Over the weekend I was going through photo archives + found this look that was shot over 2 years ago + figured it was about time I posted it haha. I truly can’t remember where I got any of these pieces as they were from a few years ago, but I do remember this great leather fold-over clutch is from one of my favorite brands, GiGi New York!
I have always loved polka dots, so this fun wall paired with a cute polka dot skirt is exactly what I had in mind. I believe I got this skirt at Urban Outfitters but I found a similar one from Forever 21 here. I paired the skirt with a simple white crop top + white moto jacket.
I personally feel every gal should have a white crop top + white moto jacket in her wardrobe as they are key staples that can be mixed + matched with everything!
I have been a fan of GiGi New York for years. Their bags are amazing quality at a great price, plus they are made on Long Island, where I am from!
This bag is perfect for any occasion as the gray hue matches with a lot + it comes with a detachable leather cross body strap so you can wear the bag multiple ways.
Happy Tuesday ♥ So it may be a H E A T wave in LA LA Land (like seriously it is pretty much over 100 degrees everyday…ugh) but that doesn’t mean I can’t share this little look I shot back in the spring (you know before LA turned into a hot inferno haha). I continued my long lost love affair with Wild Blue Denim by styling their tunic with my favorite distressed skinny jeans. Honestly guys, their jeans fit like a glove. I am all about the jegging like material that hugs my curves + feels beyond comfortable…these jeans are always a win/win!
Keep scrollin’ to see a few more reasons as to why I L O V E this look…
This look is simply cute + comfy. It’s great for work or play and honestly the top hides any and everything (currently I am styling it with shorts to beat the heat).
What is special about this outfit is I am sporting the first ever designer bag I bought when I was 14…a DIOR!
I had saved up all of my money from scooping popcorn at the local movie theater to buy this baby right before I began freshman year of high school. While most girls were rocking Coach, I opted for Dior. I guess you can say my mama raised me with some expensive taste hehe 😉
The sun is shining, flowers are blooming and i can finally get back by the water to share some spring style. There is nothing I love more than being by the beach, the water and enjoying nice weather…which is exactly what I did all weekend. I did some spring shopping (did a little damage during the Lord & Taylor ‘Friends + Family Sale’ and got some preppy pieces from J.Crew…I can’t believe I haven’t shopped there more often) And I stocked up on new tech accessories for my car and my new iPhone which is coming in the mail tomorrow…can’t wait! I hear the camera quality on the 6 blows the 5 out of the water so I can’t wait to find out!
One of the other things I did this weekend was get outside and head to the beach to shoot this look. I have a thing for bomber jackets…I styled bomber jackets two different ways on the blog so far (here + here) and now here is one more…with a chic chiffon dress perfect for a spring date night or to go from the office to happy hour!
Tis’ the season to dress like a favorite holiday time treat…a candy cane of course! I instantly fell in love with this ensemble the second I slipped into it and decided that it was a total ‘Holiday‘ must! Who doesn’t love to dress up like a candy cane for Christmas? Now they won’t just be hanging on the tree…but also in your closet 😉 Now that’s what I’d like to call…sweet! It’s the next look up in my ‘Holiday Dressing’ guide…you can see previous looks here, here + here. Before breaking down the look I wanted to just say I hope you all had a fabulous ‘Pre-Christmas’ weekend! I got some holiday shopping done (which may have included some gift giving to myself…oops) and I also checked out a ‘Holiday Light Spectacular’ on Long Island…if you’d like to follow my holiday adventures follow me on instagram at @MissyOnMadison (P.S. You can also shop my day to day insta posts via LikeToKnow. It Register Today!)So it’s all about the red and white with today’s look. I based my whole look around a simple red and white striped scarf (the one I am wearing is from Old Navy and is no longer available) but I found similar options (that are on sale of course) here + here. After the scarf came into play…the rest of the outfit just fell into place. Old Navy always has a great selection of solid sweaters that can be worn for any occasion, so I grabbed this white scoop neck sweater on sale for under $20! (Great last minute gift idea ladies and gents!)I’ve had this red faux leather skirt for over a year now and I honestly can’t remember where I snagged it but I found a similar one from BCBG at 6pm.com on sale here!As if the skirt wasn’t enough red…add on one of my favorite styles from Rebecca Minkoff…the ‘mini affair bag‘! Zappos has it on sale now with free shippinghere.I decided to go simple with the shoes (couldn’t add any more red…would have been a bit much…don’t ya think?!) So nude patent leather pumps are always chic and are an essential for every fashionista’s wardrobe. The ones I found on sale are from Michael Kors and they also have a ‘flex’ foot bed to add extra comfort for the woman on the go!Stay tuned for a last minute gift guide tomorrow…don’t worry everyone procrastinates (even me!)
