I hope ya’ll had a great weekend! It’s official, I am fully embracing fall + that means time for floppy hats, booties + plaid! When I got this dress from Amaryllis, I knew it was going to become one of my fall staples for so many reasons. 1. It is slimming (I mean hey that’s what my BF told me haha I will take it :p), 2. It matches perfectly with these white booties I became obsessed with as of late + 3. It is comfy, stylish + is perfect to wear for work or play!
While I am loving this dress, honestly there are so many great pieces from Amaryllis that I think I am going to have you hooked 😉 #SorryNotSorry
Amaryllis has become my one stop shop for all things fall. From chic apparel to stylish accessories, they have everything you need to create the perfect look for fall. My favorite part? They are size inclusive, which to me that means a large size range. They go from Small to 3x! Isn’t that amazing? I for sure love it when a brand carries pieces for everyone.
This dress comes in 4 colors…black, white, navy + pink AND is available in all sizes, it will be on repeat all season long…just watch. Plus, it retails for under $35, now that’s what I call a steal!!
I fell head over ‘heels’ for these white booties the second I spotted them. Best part? They are under $40!!! No joke…aren’t they cute?!
Naturally I paired my bargain shoe find with a little Chanel because I am a firm believer in mixing + matching high + low no matter what the occasion 😉
Fall wouldn’t be fall without a floppy hat moment. I love this hat so much I bought it in 3 colors…it’s from Kohl’s + retails for under $26!
Happy Monday ♥ I hope you all had a nice weekend! My highlight was clearly tracking down some of the best street art in LA (thanks to Studio DIY’s ‘Wall Crawl’ post) to take outfit photos in front of it (I mean come on, who doesn’t think that’s fun :p) haha! Well in addition to tracking down street art + taking photos, I began attempting to learn how to edit photos in Lightroom (bare with me on that haha). I know everyone uses it and I have tried it out here + there, but my new goal is to fully master it — are any of you guys Lightroom fans?! I would love to hear your feedback + any tips / tricks that I should try out 🙂
In addition to tracking down street art, I began fully embracing fall by styling this new look featuring one of my favorite autumn hues…maroon! It’s crazy to me that it’s already October…in LA it feels like endless summer, so honestly I am not really wearing boots yet but I figured I need to begin putting fall looks together so why not start now 😉
One of my main ways for coming up with outfits is starting with one piece I want to style and then pick the pieces that go with it perfectly. I couldn’t wait to style this SheIn Maroon Dress with some navy pieces! What is great about this dress is that it can be worn for spring / summer without a jacket + then for fall / winter layer a lightweight denim jacket (like this one from Old Navy) or even a cozy cardigan or blazer depending the occasion.
I really liked the combo of navy + maroon so I pulled my navy blue suede otk boots (similar style) out of the back of my ‘fall / winter’ closet (yes I have two closets for the different seasons haha no joke :p) + styled those with this look as well! I love how they are great with jeans, dresses + slack for work etc. The chunky heel makes them comfortable + the navy hue matches with just about everything…kinda believing ‘navy is the new black :p’!
Anyone who knows me, knows I LOVE a good pair of sunnies so I was super excited when ILYMIX sent me these new sunglasses for fall! I have been on the hunt for metallic silver sunnies + this pair is under $20 but look like they are super expensive…that’s just how I like it 😉 Great quality + style but for less!
Maroon aka my new favorite color for fall (besides blue…pretty apparent with how often I wear it :p). Since Thanksgiving is this week, it’s about time I take a break from my love of neon and embrace the darker hues…along with that, embrace booties, sweaters (like this cozy Uniqlo one) + floppy hats. So what’s my ‘statement‘ item in this festive look (totally holiday dinner appropriate)…this fab Vera Bradley leopard satchel. My booties are from NYLA, but I found a similar pair on sale from Kohls (+ even more on sale during Black Friday sales) here! These are great to wear to Thanksgiving dinner (or if you are like my friends, Thanksgiving Eve…girl’s night out what what!)
Fun prints are always ‘in‘ no matter what the season…this leopard satchel from Vera Bradley is the perfect fall handbag and will make a statement at your Thanksgiving gathering! Plus it comes in a variety of prints and colors!
Happy Monday! So it may not feel like fall yet in LA (I was literally sweating when shooting outfits yesterday haha — so of course I cooled down with some ice cream — more of that on SnapChat – MissyOnMadison :p)
Anyways, even though the weather doesn’t quite feel like fall, this outfit sure does! I teamed up with my favorite ShopTheMint.com to share a new fall look + a fun G I V E A W A Y! ($50 Gift Card anyone?)This look includes all of my favorite fall essentials! The Chambray Shirt Dress aka my favorite dress to be wearing this fall. It can be dressed up or down and I love how simple it is so it’s time to pile on the accessories!I paired the dress with this chic Maroon Floppy Hat (because my love for floppy hats is serious this season obv). I also am obsessed with this Paisley Scarf (also from Shop The Mint).
ShopTheMint.com has everything you can and will need for fall…I kind of want to shop some more right now…I may have a slight problem…oops :p
I am also obsessed with these Go Jane booties. With the chunky heel and the lace up details, they are ideal for fall adventures.
I also paired this look with pink aviators — my new alternative to the blue ones I have been wearing all summer long.
Well let me first start off by saying ‘Happy New Year‘! Crazy how we are starting a blank page in a new 365 page book (yes, I saw that quote all over instagram and had to incorporate it somehow into my first New Year post). It’s time for a New Year and a New outfit post…naturally I chose to show off an outfit shot in 2014 in slightly warmer weather (although I insist on wearing skirts year round…even when it is snowing out…I have no shame)! So here’s to an awesome outfit to kick off 2015…a maroon moment!I love rocking a floppy hat especially one that matches my suede booties. A maroon floppy hat is something I tend to get a lot of use out of because it’s the slight pop of color and much needed accessory any outfit requires to stand out. Plus this one is on sale from TopShop for Nordstrom here.My floral kimono cardigan came from a local Long Island boutique but I found a similar one from Urban Outfitters here (and for $50 it’s a total steal). As for my maroon skater skirt I found a similar one at Nordstrom as well for under $30 here. This watch has been one of my favorite goodies sent to me in the year 2014…this Caravelle NY watch is one of my go to’s in my daily line up and it is simple, chic and goes with everything…total must have.I haven’t rocked my Rebecca Minkoff Mini MAB Tote in a while because I always go straight to my ‘Affair Bag’ or my ‘Mini Mac Bag’ but now that I’ve worn it again I think you will be seeing a lot more of it in the new year! And last but not least…the shoes. I bought these maroon suede Calvin Klein booties over a year ago and I found them again at Lord & Taylor for just $32! Yes, these booties can be yours for $32…get on it ladies 😉 I hope you all had a festive New Year’s Eve night…be sure to stop by tomorrow to see how I transitioned one of my New Year’s Eve pieces into a ‘Girl’s Night Out’ ensemble 🙂 Nothing sucks more than snagging a great piece for a holiday and never wearing it again…luckily tomorrow I will have a solution + a NEW Instagram Giveaway that begins today and is live for 48 hours!| Click To Shop My Look |
