Happy 4th Of July Everyone!! Time to light up the BBQ, head for the beach + enjoy the sunshine while sipping on cocktails. While I will for sure be doing that, I may be doing a little bit of something else…online shopping!! 4th Of July weekend always has some of the best sales. From end of season summer favs like swimsuits + pool toys to trendy footwear + accessories, every major retailer does big business this weekend and honestly I am not surprised as to why, this is one of my favorite weekends to shop (in between laying out by the pool of course :p).

While this weekend is traditionally known for summer time fun, I want to just remind everyone this is a holiday to celebrate America, to celebrate what makes this country truly great + to think about what it is to be an American. I for one am beyond proud to live here + be an American. It saddens me that as of late with this political climate, less + less Americans are ‘proud‘ of being an American. How can you not proud to be a citizen of this great country where everyone else desperately wants to move to? We have the best of everything, no matter what your political beliefs are, to be an American is an amazing thing + this weekend is a time to feel proud + show your allegiance to this country.

Giving Spring the B o o t…

I got that S P R I N G feeling ♥ Flowers are blooming, the weather is perfect (although it pretty much always is in LA haha) + that means time to switch up the wardrobe! Now, since revamping a wardrobe from season to season can get costly, I learned to transition pieces by styling them different ways no matter what the temperature, season or occasion!

Over The Knee Boots are a fall + winter essential…but with spring quickly approaching…it’s time to switch up how I wear them. So I decided to pair them with this spring style dress from Lord & Taylor’s Design Lab. I love the crochet detailing and I took this feminine dress and gave it an edgy feel with this black leather moto jacket (similar).

This is such an easy look to wear for any occasion. It’s casual yet dress and what I love most…it’s effortless, just slip on the dress, step into the boots + g o!

With such an effortless look, dressing it up with some chic accessories is just what this outfit needs! I got my beaded tassel necklace from my friend Marrin Costello! Her designs are gorgeous + I love this piece for any outfit (honestly all of her jewels are kinda amazing).

I swapped up my typical mirrored sunglasses for these black wayfarer sunglasses (similar). And my ‘Pop Of Color‘? This purple Vera Bradley satchel — although it isn’t a ‘Pop‘…it still adds some color to the look!

Move over LBD a new dress trend is in town for the spring…cue the LWD aka Little White Dress! Although I love wearing white year round, with spring comes plenty of special occasions like graduations, Mother’s Day, prom, banquets, weddings and more that all call for a nice simple dress that you can hopefully get more than one day’s wear out of. That was always my challenge. I needed a dress to wear for so many different occasions but I didn’t want it to be so dressy that I could only wear it once or twice. Well with this season’s ‘Little White Dress’ trend…there are plenty of options that can be re-worn year round!
