Sparkle, Sparkle…it’s almost time for the biggest party of the year (and no I am not referring to NYFW or the Met Gala)…I’m talking about New Year’s Eve 2014! While I still have ~~absolutely~~ no clue about what I will be doing the night the ball drops, one thing I do have somewhat of an idea about is what I will be wearing…and it includes tons of SPARKLE!What I love about New Year’s Eve is the fact that it’s one of the few times you can wear as much glitter and sparkle as you want without anyone taking a second glance…it’s like I can be the bedazzled princess I dreamed of as a little girl without people staring stunned at what I am wearing…can you say dream come true? Well, any excuse to wear a dress and sparkly heels is fine by me 😉 I LOVE a sweetheart neckline (on a side not if and when I ever get married…mark my words, the dress will be a sweetheart design) and especially a fit and flare style like this glittery dress I found at Charlotte Russe! Nothing is better than glitz and glamour on a budget right?

If you are up for the splurge Saks, Nordstrom and Bloomingdales all carry this gorgeous Jill Stuart gold strapless dress (it is STUNNING) and can be ordered for express delivery with free shipping whenever you are ready! I don’t know about you but whenever I wear something without sleeves I always feel the need to pair it with a blazer. Whether it’s heading to dinner, the club or even just a house party, you never know when chilly air may strike and you don’t want to feel uncomfortable at a fun event. I think white is a great color for New Year’s so pair a white boyfriend blazer with a dress, a top and skirt or a top and pants is a great way to keep warm but also stay stylish.Now for the fun stuff…shoes and bag swag. My clutch is from Michael Kors…the hardware on the python clutch adds to the sparkle of the dress and the heels…plus the clutch comes with an attachable chain strap so you can wear the clutch as a shoulder bag to keep your hands free for drinks and h’orderves.My shoes make a statement all on their own. I got these Nine West glitter sandals two years ago and they have been my go to New Year’s Eve footwear ever since. They sparkle, shine and are actually comfortable! Holiday Dressing — Sweater Weather…

Happy Wednesday Loves! Usually the holiday season makes us think of glitz and glam…now don’t get me wrong, I love some sparkle just like the next gal but sometimes when you are around close family or friends all you need to wear for the holidays is a classic sweater…a cable knit sweater! Sorry but I never really got into the whole ‘ugly sweater‘ deal for the holiday season…I opt for a more trendy yet timeless sweater…the cable knit sweater. I scored this one at Old Navy and I wear it all the time…whether it is dressed up or dressed down, a cable knit sweater is an essential for every gal no matter what age. Because I hate wearing pants…yes I said it…I hate pants haha I paired this cable knit sweater with a maroon skater skirt (which can be worn year round, not just for the holiday season).I dressed the look up a bit with my black suede knee high boots which I constantly get asked where they are from…well the answer is H&M…2 years ago so unfortunately they are no longer there but I found similar ones on sale now for under $100 at Lord & Taylor here.And I am bringing leopard back this holiday season with this Betsey Johnson bag (similar style from Ralph Lauren here). I love wearing little hints of leopard from time to time…especially when the hues match so perfectly like they do in this ensemble. It wouldn’t be a true street style look without some killer sunnies…I never knew J Crew had such great sunglasses but I fell in love with these beauties the second I spotted them in store + on sale (the word sale always helps determine a good buy haha)!This is one of my favorite looks so far this month…it’s cute, simple and also kind of sexy by adding the knee high boots 😉 So you can wear this around the fam and also out for date night…win/win!| Click To Shop This Look |

Mad For Plaid…

Happy Monday Loves! So I’m thinking it’s time to reveal a little bit more of me in my blog posts other than simply breaking down my looks…let’s get real…watchya think? Well for starters, this outfit was shot yesterday at my old stomping grounds…my elementary school! I felt so old being there but easily forgot about that the second I saw an adorable King Charles Cavalier (the same breed as my little Charlie) walk by in between photos…Not sure if this is just me but the second I see a cute little dog my voice instantly turns into a high pitch squeal as if I was talking to an infant…it’s a bit embarrassing but hey it’s a little quirk I have!Other than my obsession with adorable dogs, I have obsessing over plaid this fall, especially from Old Navy. I rocked a black and white plaid flannel last week on the blog and opted to add a little color with this red and blue plaid flannel here. I always want to add color no matter what the season…it’s another little quirk of mine.Speaking of color…I ended up buying this blue faux leather tote from Old Navy that I had on last week’s Weekend Wish List here. It’s perfect for work or play and I love the cobalt blue hue for fall to add a little extra ‘pop’. My booties are from Report Shoes and were a Marshalls ‘Fab Found’ purchase but I found them here at 6pm.com.An outfit is never complete without subtle hints of bling (or in my case not so subtle…oops). Happy Tuesday lovers I am finally facing reality that I need to accept that the weather on Long Island and in the Big Apple is cold…so that means time for some serious fall outfits…like this flannel one from Old Navy! I am loving flannel for fall…real innovative I know, but another thing I am especially obsessed with this fall…Old Navy and no they aren’t sponsoring this post, I just have a slight addiction to their sales, deals and steals. They have tons of different flannel button downs all on sale for 30% off till tomorrow with code ‘SAVE‘ (on top of the already reduced prices!)…Can you say time to shop?!My black quilted vest was an Old Navy find as well except it is from last year and no longer available, so I found a similar one from Banana Republic that is just if not more amazing here. I also have a thing for a little faux leather for fall…these Lysse faux leather trim leggings are not just comfortable but also can be dressed up or down for a day to night look, plus these look mint with flannel don’t ya think? 😉 Had to of course include a little sparkle with this Kendra Scott Druszy ring…I swear this was one of the best blogger gifts I have ever received. I had to add a pop of color to this black and white look with this Olivia & Joy bag available in black and red! I switched up my watch game with this post by opting for a little silver rather than my ever favorite gold link watch…but I think I will have to start wearing this silver one a lot more.My shoes are actually from Payless, but I found a similar pair from Dolce Vita here. Happy Monday Loves! I once again am beating Monday blues with a little…Blue! I am OBSESSED with the whole moto jacket trend for fall…and I love it even more when I can find great ones at an affordable price like this powder blue moto jacket from Apt.9 at Kohls! Never doubt the possibility of finding a great trend piece for less without forgoing on quality 😉 So time to reveal a little secret…A few people have asked on here and on instagram about if the weather where I am is still warm…well no not really haha. My brother shoots my outfits and we tend to shoot a bunch of looks at a time so I have looks I’ve shot in the warmer weather that will be sprinkled in amongst colder weather looks on the blog. I definitely couldn’t have rocked this skirt ensemble yesterday because it was FREEZING on Long Island…I only got one outfit shot because I was too chicken to fight the cold…pretty sure I’m meant to be in warmer climate lol (insert monkey covering eyes emoji here)Now let’s break down the look…My white crop top is from J Lo for Kohls and you can score it now for…drum roll please $4! YES $4. Dress it up, dress it down and wear it season to season. And I made it perfect for fall by layering the moto jacket and adding a cute black floppy hat. A simple black scuba skirt is always a sure bet to tie a look together and the best part is that it is a transitional piece to wear year round.I had to have my traditional ‘Pop Of Color’ by adding this magenta Rayne necklace from Kendra Scott…what better way to bring summer into the fall / winter.These black suede boots have been an absolute life saver when it comes to easily feeling sexy in the cold fall weather.
