Don’t Mondays just stink…waking up early, wishing it was still the weekend (the long hour commute to work…oh wait that’s just me :p). Well I may have a case of the Monday blues but at least this bright look perks things up a bit! I am actually pretty excited about this look…why you may ask…well because it is the first time I ever wore / shopped at Uniqlo! My blouse + vest are both from Uniqlo and I am officially obsessed with their stuff!I have always heard everyone rave about Uniqlo but being able to actually shop there and wear their stuff I am truly in love. Great quality at an affordable price that’s something I am all about! This quilted vest is still available and is on sale now, but my sleeveless blouse is only available in stores (similar style here).
I have a thing for nude heels, booties you name it, I wear it 😉 (has a nice ring to it doesn’t it haha). Nude footwear is just so chic in my opinion and matches with everything, so these nude lace up booties were the perfect addition to this outfit (similar).
Something else I am currently obsessed with…this oversized monogram necklace. I kinda stalked and saw a few different bloggers wearing it and I simply had to have it so I actually found this one via Etsy but BaubleBar has a similar style in multiple colors here!
And this everyone is my happy place…Rodeo Drive…California’s version of 5th avenue with a lot less crowding and a beautiful temperature year round (I guess it’s safe to say I have yet to miss NYC huh? :p) I actually shot this before I was even fully living in LA. My little brother and I ventured around Rodeo one morning during our vacation a few weeks ago and I kinda forced him to shoot this outfit because yes…I wasn’t wearing ‘designer‘ on Rodeo but hey I think it still looked pretty damn cute!
Happy Friday everyone and sorry if I haven’t been on my A-game when it’s come to blogging lately…between a big move to LA, a new job and attempting to find my dream apartment on a budget, I have been slightly swamped to say the least (whoever said if you can make it in NY you can make it anywhere clearly wasn’t referring to finding a decent apartment in LA or being able to drive without a ton of traffic every 5 blocks…) So yes…the struggle is real and living on your own is no joke…so to distract myself…an outfit I shot in Meat Packing before i headed cross country to make it on my own 😉
Today is a bit bitter-sweet…by the time all of you are reading this, I will be on the road for my big move to California! If you didn’t catch Monday’s post, I announced that I am moving to LA and leaving the only place I’ve ever known, Long Island, for a new journey filled with great opportunities and of course some adventure.
It’s crazy to think I will be leaving my family and friends behind to venture out on my own and really become an adult but hey…it has to happen eventually right? Well I decided today was the perfect opportunity to do a little flashback to a look I shot a few weeks ago at one of my favorite Long Island hot spots, Prime American Kitchen & Bar (during my college years I actually hosted there during the summer). I have always loved being by the water and soaking up some sunshine so hostessing there was one of my favorite jobs and not to mention the food was kindaamazing…(and by kinda I mean it was in fact amazing!). Ok so maybe I am getting distracted…I love this look and even more the scenic Huntington Harbor backdrop (hey maybe it’s meant to be I am moving to LA…there is a Huntington beach in Cali isn’t there?)
When you find something you love you tend to wear it over and over and over again…or at least I do…so it’s nor surprise that once again I am wearing this cobalt blue Kenneth Cole satchel which is my current obsession and at this point the leading man in my life hehe 😉 This ‘Pop Of Color‘ is affordable, chic and is perfect for work or play…Another piece on repeat? My ShopTheMint.com checkered skirt that I wore for a picnic inspired look on the blog last week (PS there is still time to Enter To Win A $50 Gift Card to ShopTheMint.com)
