Peace out LA! I am off to Palm Springs for the weekend! I am super excited to get away from LA for a little girls trip and I figured what better way to prep than with a little packing guide! I am super excited for colorful swimwear, fun prints and the perfecting my tan with some new skincare + beauty gear! One of my current obsessions for getting that perfect glow is Vita Liberata! After attending a fun rooftop event at Sky Bar with their luxury tanning essentials to get that sun-kissed look, I became completely in love. Foaming mousse, powdered bronzers + more help any gal achieve the perfect look she needs for sunny days and summer nights! Here’s a few of my favorites:
It’s starting to feel a lot like S P R I N G! And I couldn’t be happier! Spring has always been my favorite season (whether in NY or LA) because it starts warming up so I can wear all of my favorite dresses, skirts + sandals while also not sweating in a heat wave like I do over the summer haha!
To kick off my first of many spring style posts, I teamed up with Burlington…aka the premier destination to score chic finds for less (just up my alley right?!) Burlington has up to 65% off department store prices every day! So I was beyond excited when they gave me the challenge of putting a head-to-toe spring look together for under $50…challenge accepted and challenge completed 😉
I scored both my black + white striped shift dress from Burlington as well as my nude lace up heels! Two ‘on trend’ pieces for spring that can be transitioned from work to play and beyond. What I love about a classic shift dress is that it is an easy outfit choice in the morning…just slip it on and you are ready to head out the door! Nothing beats that (especially for a gal like me who is always running late in the morning — hey Starbucks is always a priority what can I say :p)
This dress in particular I love because A) It’s only $7.99 on BurlingtonStores.com (YES it is in fact $7.99 for this gorgeous dress…how crazy is that?!) It’s the perfect piece to add to your spring rotation and I dressed it up for spring with some bright accessories!
My other Burlington find were these nude lace up sandals (similar to the ones I found in store). I mean they are great for the office, girl’s night, date night etc. Nude matches with everything, they are super comfortable and I can’t get over how great they fit (normally I struggle with heels if the arch is too high or if they are too narrow or too wide etc. Not these beauties…they are picture perfect!)
These heels cost only $17.99! How great is that? Head-To-Toe outfit completed! Bam!
I always like to add color to all of my looks, especially for spring, so I added a few of my own accessories to the look. For some neon I added my own satchel + for a P O P of blue I added one of my favorite necklaces in Cobalt and of course my mirrored aviators (a spring / summer / year roundessential for everyone…just sayin’).
And Voila!A head-to-toe spring look that’s on trend and doesn’t break the bank…easy as 1,2,3 and it’s all thanks to Burlington! Burlington has up to 65% off department store prices every day!
Oh Hey There…Fancy Meeting You Here 😉 Happy Monday! I am thrilled to say it was another gorgeous weekend in LA…warm weather, sunshine + temperatures that feel like spring! Nothing can make a gal happier 😉 Except maybe some new shoes, a new bag + even a new jacket! Safe to say last week was an awesome mail week! I am getting fully stocked for spring with some of my current on-trend favorites…Let’s first start with this cute suede fringe jacket from ShopPinkBlush.com! It’s a great transition piece for winter to spring and with the fun fringe flair it matches perfectly with any look and adds a little bit of an edgy feel (totally LA style).
I styled it for spring with this white chiffon dress…taking an otherwise dressy piece and dressing it down for a night out or even brunch with the gals.
Since I always enjoy a little Pop Of Color I decided to bring this Kendra Scott Rayne Necklace out to play (which I haven’t worn in f o r e v e r!! I love discovering old pieces + making them feel like new again!)
There comes a time when you find a pair of shoes that are literally ‘To Die For‘ AND are perfect for every single outfit…these tan chunky ankle strap heels ♥ I mean…I think I am in love! (if this is what love feels like that is haha)
Another thing I am currently ‘Falling Head Over Heels For‘? This Nicole Lee US clutch!! When Nicole Lee approached me about sending a few pieces I was super pumped and when I got this tropical print envelope clutch this week I was beyond thrilled…it reminds me of a style that Gucci had made a few seasons ago…I officially found the ‘Look For Less‘ version here! I also found two styles I like (from YSL + Rebecca Minkoff).
Lady in R E D…nothing makes a statement quite like some red pieces and with the holiday season in full swing, all red everything…is pretty much the norm 😉 While I should have paired this colorful ensemble with the infamous Starbucks red cup, I opted to just work in fun prints and ‘Pops Of Color‘…why not bring tons of color to the office! In NYC this look may not fly as well in the middle of December, but in LA…anything is possible…#IsThisHeaven?
Anyways, I have started a new morning routine when picking out what to wear to work…pick one item and builded around it. The one item I based this look on? This printed cropped jacket (perfect for any season or occasion).I decided to go with solid pieces to complimentthe jacket since the jacket does make such a bold statement. Every girl should have a basic white crop top like this one from Go Jane in their wardrobe rotation…along with a bright, fun skirt like this red a-line skirt (similar style).
I clearly couldn’t get enough color or red here haha So this Vera Bradley satchel did just the trick…PLUS it makes a great gift for the holidays! (Gift for you or a gift for someone else…either way #MustHave)
My shoes I kept classic and timeless…nude pointed toe pumps. Simple and will never go out of style…one of my favorite shoes for any occasion!
P I N K…Regina George would be proud and I would totally fit in with the ‘Plastics‘ right 😉 Ok, I am not in support of the whole clique situation however I am a fan of wearing pink (on a Wednesday). Nothing I love more than making a colorful statement and this Hutch Design skirt does just the trick. It’s perfect for the office (pairing it with a blazer makes me board room ready — although my office doesn’t really do ‘board meetings’ we are fun after all haha). My outfit matches my office — bright, colorful and plenty of pink. That’s one of the things I love about my job, work hard, play hard and work in a fun environment.
A white boyfriend blazer is a piece I am constantly mixing and matching for work and play. Since my company doesn’t have a specific dress code, a crop top with this high waisted skirt is perfect for the office and is great to wear straight to happy hour!
I feel like I look like cotton candy…not just with the pink, but also with my pops of blue. My cobalt blue bag is no longer available, but I found a similar style from Tory Burch here (and it is the perfect going-out bag…kinda obsessed and need to put it on my holiday wishlist — coming soon :p).
I love Kendra Scott statement pieces, so it comes as no surprise that I needed to get this Rayne Necklace in blue (I have worn the pink one all summer long and figured it was about time for a different hue). It adds a ‘pop of color‘ to any outfit 😉
Gray pumps have become a favorite of mine for the fall and winter months. I feel like gray is such an under worn color and I don’t get why. It is the perfect fall into winter hue that matches with any look.
