Kicking Off the Holidays on Rodeo Drive…

The HOLIDAYS are Here! I seriously can’t believe how fast this year has been going by! Feels like just yesterday was summer (perks of living in LA, no seasons means endless sunshine year round haha). It’s been a year and a half since I moved to LA from NY and boy has it been a crazy ride. Moving from Weho to Burbank, switching up my career from in house to agency life, changing from beauty + fashion to luxury lifestyle…this year has been full of surprises (mainly good, a few eh, but overall…amazing)!

Anyways, one of the exciting clients I work with is the Rodeo Drive Committee (pretty suiting for a gal who loves the finer things in life, huh? :p) To kick off the holiday season, tomorrow is the annual Beverly Hills ‘Holiday Lighting Celebration’ where Rodeo Drive lights up with street performers, festive treats + celeb performances!

In addition to working on this fun event, I have been promoting the charitable endeavor of Rodeo Drive this holiday season with the #RodeoGivesBack initiative! Beverly Hills is a pretty amazing community, the people truly are amazing and I have had the pleasure of meeting so many of them who have in turn, really taught me about the history Beverly Hills + Rodeo Drive holds (call me a nerd, but seeing old photos of Rodeo Drive + the Beverly Wilshire pre–RHOBH is pretty cool if you ask me :p).

One of the best parts about the holiday season is giving back to those in need. Rodeo Drive is helping to give the gift of warmth by partnering with the Salvation Army to collect coat donations throughout November + December! How great is that? This has been just one of the amazing projects I get to work on. I planned a little photo shoot at the Beverly Wilshire with some of my favorite blogger babes to get the word out about this great campaign!

What’s better than giving back around the holidays? Makes the holiday season so much brighter!

Now to break down this holiday look! I have had a love affair with this black tulle skirt for years now. It just reminds me of something Carrie Bradshaw would wear (in fact I did a whole shoot wearing it in front of the New York Public Library here).

I think this skirt is great for the holiday season. You can style it with a simple blouse (like this one) or wear a crop top + leather jacket for an edgier look (the possibilities are endless)!

I love these T-Strap Black Heels for the holiday season. I feel like they are such chic classics!

My clutch is actually a toiletry pouch from Louis Vuitton. I seriously LOVE this and even though it has been sold out at all of the LV boutiques I was able to find it with the help of LYST!

From Holiday to Every Day…

TGIF! What a week it has been…the year has changed, the holiday season has ended and I’ve stocked up on so many sales and deals my closet is nearly about to explode (not ~~kidding~~). One of the struggles that always happens once the holiday season comes to a close is how to recycle all of those great holiday pieces into every day ensembles and today’s look is the first of many posts written with that idea in mind 😉If you missed it, I rocked this shaggy pink coat (available on my Poshmark here) for my New Year’s Eve post along with a beaded skirt and swavorski crystal covered heels…festive for the ball drop of course! But today I dressed down this coat with a simple Topshop for Nordstrom camisole and Hue ‘Leatherette’ Leggings perfect for a Friday night out!One of these accessories has also gotten a lot of use during the holiday season, and now it will be a great going out bag for happy hour…this Michael Kors Python Clutch which I wore here for a different NYE post.I LOVE these nude suede open toe booties year round. They match with everything and nude is always a safe color for when you are ~~unsure~~ of what to wear for a night on the town. I found similar ones from ZooShoo here (for under $50).I hope you all have a fabulous weekend! I will be out shooting some more winter time looks (that’s if I decide to dress weather appropriate…it’s a toss up haha!) and prepping to get back to work in the Big Apple! Christmas Eve Glam…

Merry Christmas Eve ladies and gents! Every Christmas Eve my family has the tradition of my siblings and I going to my grandparents house, opening presents and having some quality family time (which due to our busy schedules tends to fall to the wayside). The holiday season is the perfect time to catch up with family, friends and of course…rock some glam pieces from your closet…duh! That’s my favorite part of the holiday season…dressing up 😉 All black everything…jk just my Dora Landa NY Lace & Faux Leather Top and my Catherine Malandrino for Kohls Drop Waist Skirt (which also has hints of lace…can you spot them?). Both pieces are timeless classics and will forever be mixed and matched from season to season.While I went simple with my black on black top and skirt, my accessories definitely added some much need ‘sass‘ to this look. I tend to wear a lot of black around the holiday season because you can always dress it up with the right shoes and handbag and even…jewelry, which is exactly what I did here!My jewelry is from Capwell + Co…scored at a sample sale (both pieces are in my Poshmark closet here + here) because I always try to snag a great deal (luckily with Capwell + Co all of their pieces are affordable!). I found a similar amethyst cuff and amethyst ring (both on sale now) here + here.I instantly fell head over ‘heels’ for A) this gorgeous purple bow bag that is (drumroll please) from Target! + B) these stunning leopard ‘Valentino Rockstud’ inspired pumps (available in my Poshmark closet here).Skirts or dresses are always my go to when it comes to getting ‘glam’ for any occasion and yes that even includes family affairs for Christmas 😉 What girl doesn’t love to play dress up when given an excuse?On a side note…I am SUPER excited to share that Christmas came a little early for me…I got a pretty awesome present and in true ‘Christmas’ fashion, I won’t reveal it till tomorrow when I share some present sharing glam on the blog 😉 So check back tomorrow to unwrap my exciting gift that guess what…will keep on giving!| Click To Shop My Look |

Snow Flake…

Happy Thursday Lovers! I titled this post ‘Snow Flake’ because the combination of the baby blue cable knit sweater, ivory tulle skirt and metallic accessories made me instantly think of snow flake holiday decoration that is hanging in one of the windows of my house at the moment. Snow flakes, like this outfit are simple yet elegant, they glimmer at night or during the day and are always bound to make you smile 🙂 I love wearing tulle skirts because they make me feel like that little girl that wants to be a princess (hell maybe that’s still me…oops). They are always an extra special piece to wear for any occasion…especially the holiday season. At times wearing a tulle skirt can be seen as ‘too much’ but styled the right way…totally do-able!I paired this LC Lauren Conrad tulle skirt with a cable knit sweater from Old Navy. I love the touch of baby blue especially because it can even be worn well into spring when the weather is still a tad cool in the early months. While I love this one from Old Navy, I found similar ones here + here (both for under $50!).Now time to break down my metallic accessories…because every snow flake wants to shine right? 😉 My silver pumps are from Christian Siriano for Payless (now on my Poshmark here) and are no longer available but I found a similar pair from DV By Dolce Vita on sale at Macy’s here!Next up? This metallic silver zip clutch is perfect for the Holiday season because it can be worn with absolutely EVERYTHING! Metallic is always statement making and dresses up any look. This clutch is from Carolinna Espinosa (on my Poshmark here / similar Steve Madden clutch here) and is no longer available but I found a similar one from Clare V. at Neiman Marcus here.And once again…had to rock my favorite piece of candy…arm candy I mean from Caravelle NY…the best piece to match with any Holiday ensemble…On a side note, I’d like to share a little personal update from the world of Missy. My little buddy Charlie just came home last night from having emergency eye surgery at the animal hospital. I don’t know about you, but my feeling is that Charlie isn’t just our family dog, he is truly a member of our family and to go through this little hiccup during the holiday season has been stressful on all of us. So with the merriest time of year upon us, always remember to be thankful, grateful and appreciative of what you have…whether it be family, friends, health or even your pet! | Click To Shop This Look |
