Bright colors always make me happy…after being sick in bed for the past two days I am finally feeling a little better (and let me tell ya I am quite the drama queen when it comes to me being sick) and am ready to get back into my groove (whatever that may be haha). Nothing is worse than being cooped up in bed on a 90 degree day (especially after such a brutal winter) but I guess my body didn’t agree with me. So naturally I would share a bright new outfit as a little ‘pick me up‘ to me and you because let’s be real by the time Wednesday rolls around everyone needs a little pep in their step to make their way to the weekend 😉
What a weekend and what a week. One…it’s NYFW and I am beyond stressed (stay tuned for some fashion week diary posts from shows, parties and events) and two it was Valentine’s Day. So I never try to get too personal on here but once again after another interesting dating weekend I learned something…I am completely clueless when it comes to guys so thank god I am not clueless when it comes to all things fashion (hey a girl has to be a master at something right? haha!) and I also am pretty thick headed and refuse to have anything but the best…is it bad to have high expectations? I guess I will find out sooner or later 😉
So if the title didn’t give it away, I am kinda obsessed with the whole Fifty Shades phenomenon. Ok, so I may not have read the book (I must admit I am not a reader) and I have yet to see the movie (it was a busy fashion weekend) but I LOVE the entire movie soundtrack and therefore I decided to rock gray head to toe! So let’s break down the shades of gray…This gray v neck tee from Old Navy is a piece I can’t live without…it’s soft, fits me perfectly and can be dressed up or dressed down for any occasion. So to dress it up, I layered a lighter shade of gray boyfriend blazer over my tee…and to pull the look together…gray pumps.
Happy Saturday Loves & Happy First Official Day Of Summer (As if the weather didn’t already feel like it…today it’s official)! Summer for me means…bright colors, today’s being peach! Right away when I edited these photos it popped into my head…a line my dad always says ‘Peachy Keen’.
My dad gets home from work and I say ‘How was your day’…his response? ‘Just Peachy’ in other words…’Peachy Keen’. All of the good one liners come from my dad…the man thinks quick on his feet…quicker than I ever will I can tell ya that!This look is the perfect summer weekend ensemble…short, sweet & of course bright! My printed top is actually from Target and it’s covered in peach bicycles…talk about a wild print 😉 I occasionally like to stand out & be ‘weird’ as my mom likes to say. Maybe I’ll dress boring later in life (knowing me I’ll still be the gal in the nursing home rocking a hot pink MuuMuu) haha! My skirt is an old find from Graffiti Boutique…I actually scored it on a clearance rack for $10! Talk about luck! I love this classic white tote from Henri Bendel. It goes with everything, is the epitome of summer and is great for the office or the beach! Versatile is always a plus in my book when it comes to accessories and handbags. The scarf was a little extra something to spice up the look. I honestly don’t remember where I got it, but Forever 21 had a very similar one! Sometimes scarves are great to just tie around your bag…think Gucci (they have been doing this from season to season).These Arturo Chiang sandals are not only comfortable but they go with EVERYTHING! Beige or nude sandals in my opinion will never go out of style…how could they? Neutrals will forever be in! Well put together, colorful and stylish…3 things I always try to execute in my outfits and I think I accomplished that here 😉 Now if you excuse me I’m off to some fun weekend adventures (hopefully some frozen yogurt & lounging by the pool is involved)!Shop My Look <3
