♥ PASTEL FEELS ♥

I don’t know about you but I’ve been in a strange funk lately. Even though it’s spring (one of my favorite seasons) + the temperatures are warming up, with everything going on in the world + stay at home orders in place it’s a little hard to not have all the days just blend together making you get a little stir crazy. I’ve been trying to stay upbeat + positive by sharing some bright + colorful content on my social, hosting giveaways to cheer people up, giving back to those in need, organizing around the house, playing with new skincare + makeup and overall trying to keep sane when in the house all day. One of the things that cheers me up is looking back on fun outfits / content I shot pre-quarantine and this look happens to be one of them!

As you all may know by now I love a colorful look – especially pastel so when I spotted this rainbow striped sweater (now ON SALE) from REVOLVE I knew I needed it + I have styled it honestly so many ways (jeans, shorts + of course my favorite…a skater skirt).

I added some of my favorite accessories that just add to thee outfit + make the colors pop even more…a white Gucci belt + pink YSL bag.

I’ve been crushing on gray pumps for years now. These are actually from 8 or 9 years ago and I still wear them all the time to be honest because they are fun, match with everything + are a great alternative to just plain black. I’ve linked to a bunch of similar styles below since these were an exclusive collaboration from Nine West (hence the pink trim and pink soles).

I was never one for hair accessories but I think I’ve officially joined the headband train. I bought this pearl headband in multiple colors I love it so much. It’s a perfect way to dress up any look and I can’t get enough of it!

♥SPRING INTO STRIPES♥

I have been living in stripes lately, especially rainbow stripes. They are the perfect style to make a statement with this spring! Whether you are looking for the perfect skirt to wear to the office or for a night out with the gals, a striped skirt like this one can be styled so many ways + makes for a must-have piece to add to your wardrobe.

I scored this striped skirt from the Who What Wear collection at Target. It is no longer available but I am linking to some similar styles below.

I paired it with a simple black bodysuit since the rainbow stripes are the main statement piece of the ensemble. Investing in a chic black bodysuit is always a good idea since you can style it so many ways with various outfits.

I haven’t worn these gray suede pumps in ages but they are slowly becoming a favorite of mine again. They are a great alternative to simple black ones + they are a refreshing neutral to style in your spring wardrobe. On Friday’s I wear P I N K♥ I know the saying goes ‘On Wednesday’s we wear pink‘ but…sorry for the delay in posting, between playing tour guide to my little brother who is here visiting me from NY + coming down with a cold…I have been down and out for the count :p Plus now being sick sucks and kinda puts a damper on my LA tour festivities I had planned…hopefully I get better soon (at least before my brother heads home…what a lame trip that would be if I were sick the whole time lol).

Anyways, while I may be feeling glum, my outfit is far from it! Adding a bright ‘Pop Of Color‘ with this NordstromRack top is just what a sick Missy needed :p

Neon is a sure way to cheer anyone up. Wearing bright colors is a great way to stand out this summer! I LOVE this cami from NordstromRack because it’s perfect to pair with denim shorts for a BBQ or with white jeans + heels like I did here for a night out! Dressed up + ready to go…here’s how I got the look!

My white skinny jeans are from Old Navy (their Rockstar jeans fit me like a glove)…they are usually on sale + they have a little stretch so even if you ‘pig‘ out a tad at dinner, they are still comfy :p I have worn these to a few dinners at Craig’s while my brother has been in town hehe

I love this Shira Melody necklace because it is fun and adds color to any look (even a look that already has a ton of color :p) plus it is the go to accessory for gals on Instagram this summer and I can totally see why!

My gray suede pumps are from my boo Cameron Silver’s capsule collection with Nine West (Cameron owns Decades boutique on Melrose…aka my favorite place to shop for vintage designer pieces). While they are no longer available, the gray suede pointed pumps trend is perfect for work or play year round. They match with everything + the gray hue is timeless and classic.

My bag is from Nicole Lee. I love the structured satchel style because it reminds me almost like Chanel, classy, chic + very clean and neat. This satchel however has some cute details…perforation, floral embroidery etc.

P I N K…Regina George would be proud and I would totally fit in with the ‘Plastics‘ right 😉 Ok, I am ~~not~~ in support of the whole clique situation however I am a fan of wearing pink (on a Wednesday). Nothing I love more than making a colorful statement and this Hutch Design skirt does just the trick. It’s perfect for the office (pairing it with a blazer makes me board room ready — although my office doesn’t really do ‘board meetings’ we are fun after all haha).My outfit matches my office — bright, colorful and plenty of pink. That’s one of the things I love about my job, work hard, play hard and work in a fun environment.

A white boyfriend blazer is a piece I am constantly mixing and matching for work and play. Since my company doesn’t have a specific dress code, a crop top with this high waisted skirt is perfect for the office and is great to wear straight to happy hour!

I included some extra pink with these aviators…because you can never have too much pink.

I feel like I look like cotton candy…not just with the pink, but also with my pops of blue. My cobalt blue bag is no longer available, but I found a similar style from Tory Burch here (and it is the perfect going-out bag…kinda obsessed and need to put it on my holiday wishlist — coming soon :p).

I love Kendra Scott statement pieces, so it comes as no surprise that I needed to get this Rayne Necklace in blue (I have worn the pink one all summer long and figured it was about time for a different hue). It adds a ‘pop of color‘ to any outfit 😉

Gray pumps have become a favorite of mine for the fall and winter months. I feel like gray is such an under worn color and I don’t get why. It is the perfect fall into winter hue that matches with any look.

Happy M o n d a y! I hope you all had a great weekend, I know I sure did! I actually hung out by my office on Saturday in El Segundo when I visited The Point, this awesome outdoor mall that is filled with great stores, one of which is Marmi Shoes, where I got these adorable gray pumps (perfect for fall)!

The event was an after party for a huge charity fashion show The Point was hostessing which Marmi participated in, the store was even giving 10% of the proceeds to charity as well (Shop for a cause? Yup I am in :p). It was a lot of fun and I am pretty obsessed with a bunch of their shoes + handbags for fall <3 Like the booties I am wearing above…how cute are they? 🙂Now let’s break down the outfit I wore to the event — My outfit is the perfect look for an ‘LA’ fall, you know since the weather here is far from cold :p I L O V E this pink moto jacket from Kohls (on sale now)…it’s lightweight so it is a great transition piece for season to season and for cool LA nights. I paired it with this polka dot skirt (I love a great print) and this white crop top.I love to mix prints so polka dots + leopard print seemed like a perfect match to me! This Vera Bradley satchel is going to be my signature all season long!
