LA has been gloomy + rainy lately but that isn’t stopping me from wanting to bring some sunshine on with a bright look from Stay Warm In Style! First, some backstory behind this shoot. My BF + I legit drove around our new neighborhood for hours to try and find colored walls and the only one we discovered was this yellow wall haha Sooo get prepared to see tons of yellow background outfit shots on the blog :p
I always love a great off the shoulder moment so this dress was perfect because it combined my love of the cold shoulder AND fun florals for spring. Stay Warm In Style has great styles at affordable prices and the quality is amazing! I will for sure be living in this dress year round since it can be styled up or down for any occasion.
This dress retails for under $50 + the quality is great. I love the cotton material and it matches perfectly with my go-to spring accessories!
I paired it with my favorite tan espadrille wedges (that I must say are a staple this season and for seasons to come…I have had them for over a year now and love wearing them since they are so comfortable).
As for my bag…it is my newest obsession from GiGi New York. I love a great cross body bag that can hold all of my essentials + keep me styling throughout the day! It comes in various colors, so you’ll be sure to find your perfect match!
Happy Monday Loves ♥ I hope you all had a great weekend – mine was filled with outfit shoots, long chats with my boo who is off in London (ICYMI my bf is working abroad for a while which is why I get to go to London next month to see him) + micro blading! Yes..I took the plunge and got my eyebrows micro bladed + it was AMAZING (more on that to come tomorrow). Anyways, before my micro blading appointment I did a little weekend shopping at a great local shop called Soto Boutique! That is where I snagged the dress I am wearing in this post (which for sure is coming in my suitcase to London btw haha).
I am a valley girl (meaning I live in Burbank – which I LOVE so the fact that Soto has boutiques in Sherman Oaks, Woodland Hills + Westlake makes shopping super easy and convenient). I tend to spend a lot of time in a store when I go shopping, I load up the dressing room + always try to pick pieces I can mix and match and wear over and over again – Soto is a great place to do that because they have everything from casual pieces to more formal pieces so you can snag an entire wardrobe in just one trip!
I love flowy dresses so when I spotted this beauty I knew it would be the perfect summer into fall transition piece. Soto Boutique is currently stocked up for fall so you can snag your back to school staples or your fall layers without dealing with crowds + long lines 😉 Oh how I love shopping local haha so much more relaxing than heading to The Grove or Beverly Center.
These shoes are my summer staple + honestly are great to even wear into the fall and beyond. This GiGi New York clutch is currently on sale AND it comes with a leather cross body strap as well so the bag can be worn multiple ways 🙂
Happy Humpday ♥ Ugh the struggle is seriously real today…after a 4 day holiday weekend the last thing I want to do is head back to the office but the show must go on, right? :p All I want to do is head back to the beach, have some BBQ + relax…but I guess this is what adulting is like haha So…I decided in order to cheer myself up I would take advantage of some of the 4th of July Sales I rounded up on the blog yesterday! What cheers ya up better than shopping, am I right? 😉
Since I am dreaming of another relaxing weekend, I am throwing it back to this floral look I wore at one of my favorite desert hot spots to relax at…the La Quinta Resort + Spa in Palm Springs! Palm Springs is one of my favorite places to go to, even in this hot summer desert heat, it is my little piece of paradise what can I say. Since it is way over 100 degrees there now, a kimono is the go to piece to wear when heading out at night after a super hot day.
I love a great floral piece…especially a kimono cardigan like this one. It is great to style with shorts, jeans, a dress or a skirt…very versatile for any occasion. I am linking to some of my favorites below.
Anytime I am in the desert I bring every pair of denim shorts I own along with chiffon lightweight camisoles that can be styled up or down depending on the occasion.
Happy 4th Of July Everyone!! Time to light up the BBQ, head for the beach + enjoy the sunshine while sipping on cocktails. While I will for sure be doing that, I may be doing a little bit of something else…online shopping!! 4th Of July weekend always has some of the best sales. From end of season summer favs like swimsuits + pool toys to trendy footwear + accessories, every major retailer does big business this weekend and honestly I am not surprised as to why, this is one of my favorite weekends to shop (in between laying out by the pool of course :p).
While this weekend is traditionally known for summer time fun, I want to just remind everyone this is a holiday to celebrate America, to celebrate what makes this country truly great + to think about what it is to be an American. I for one am beyond proud to live here + be an American. It saddens me that as of late with this political climate, less + less Americans are ‘proud‘ of being an American. How can you not proud to be a citizen of this great country where everyone else desperately wants to move to? We have the best of everything, no matter what your political beliefs are, to be an American is an amazing thing + this weekend is a time to feel proud + show your allegiance to this country.
Now that I got out of the way 😉 I am rounding up some of the Top 4th Of July SALES for 2017 below!
Happy Monday Loves + Happy Summer! ♥ I have been busy getting myself into a new fitness + healthy living routine…talk about a challenge but I am doing it. From finding a new gym to literally gutting my kitchen of all junk food, I am ready to finally get that ‘summer bod‘ back on track (better late than never…right? :p) Anyways, that’s why I haven’t been blogging as much since I am trying to jump into my new lifestyle which with work takes a little bit of a time commitment #TheStruggleIsReal…honestly, there just aren’t enough hours in the day! But…something there is most certainly time for? A new summer look that combines some of my favorite trends of the season – Off The Shoulder Tops + Platform Wedges!
This look is one of my favorites as of late…it’s comfy, casual + is great for those business casual days at the office or just for hanging with friends or date night. My top is from Wild Blue Denim but is no longer available so I linked to some similar styles below 🙂 I paired it with a bandage skirt since I feel like I haven’t worn one in a while and figure why not right? 😉
