Happy Monday Loves ♥ I hope you all had a great weekend – mine was filled with outfit shoots, long chats with my boo who is off in London (ICYMI my bf is working abroad for a while which is why I get to go to London next month to see him) + micro blading! Yes..I took the plunge and got my eyebrows micro bladed + it was AMAZING (more on that to come tomorrow). Anyways, before my micro blading appointment I did a little weekend shopping at a great local shop called Soto Boutique! That is where I snagged the dress I am wearing in this post (which for sure is coming in my suitcase to London btw haha).
I am a valley girl (meaning I live in Burbank – which I LOVE so the fact that Soto has boutiques in Sherman Oaks, Woodland Hills + Westlake makes shopping super easy and convenient). I tend to spend a lot of time in a store when I go shopping, I load up the dressing room + always try to pick pieces I can mix and match and wear over and over again – Soto is a great place to do that because they have everything from casual pieces to more formal pieces so you can snag an entire wardrobe in just one trip!
I love flowy dresses so when I spotted this beauty I knew it would be the perfect summer into fall transition piece. Soto Boutique is currently stocked up for fall so you can snag your back to school staples or your fall layers without dealing with crowds + long lines 😉 Oh how I love shopping local haha so much more relaxing than heading to The Grove or Beverly Center.
These shoes are my summer staple + honestly are great to even wear into the fall and beyond. This GiGi New York clutch is currently on sale AND it comes with a leather cross body strap as well so the bag can be worn multiple ways 🙂
Happy Fri-Y A Y babes ♥ Spring is in full force and that means I am going to brighten things up this season with neon hues + bold prints! One way to brighten up any day is with a chic outfit…better yet with a Pop Of Color (although this entire look really P O P S!) Whether it is a typical day at the office, a lunch date with friends or a night out with my boo, bright colors is what I naturally gravitate towards!
I think wearing bright and bold hues make me happy. They tend to compliment my skin tone and I am pretty sure at this point it’s a proven fact that neon shades and bold prints make everyone smile…I am assuming that’s fact (if it isn’t, it totally should be hehe :p). This look is one of my personal favorites since it is great also for upcoming special occasions like Mother’s Day, Graduations + more!
A white dress for spring into summer is always in style and I tend to go for an A-Line one since I feel the fit and flare silhouette is just so easy, comfy + feminine. To make this look pop, I layered over a lime green moto jacket (talk about B O L D). While the exact jacket I am wearing is no longer available, I linked to a few similar jackets below 🙂
My other bright and bold accents came from my accessories and shoes! Pretty sure RayBans are pretty much a requirement in LA LA Land 😛 and I totally get why…they are perfection.
The floral heeled sandals are no longer available but rest assured there is no shortage of floral print heels for spring + I rounded up some of my favorite below. The new Texas driving license unveiled by the Department of Transportation has a real id star. The id cards are now secure with thermal printing and Polycarbonate body. The counterfeit identity providers such as Topfakeid suggest that making Polycarbonate Texas fake ID is a tougher task than making one using cheap PVC.
Happy Thursday Babes ♥ Spring means it is time to add a P O P of Color to your wardrobe (heck, you know me…I add color year round hehe :p). Color was in full force when shooting this look since I shot it at the ever so colorful Saguaro Palm Springs (ICYMI it is one of the most colorful hotels in Palm Springs that pretty much every blogger takes pictures at).
All a gal like me needs is a cute outfit, some great lighting + the perfect backdrop (luckily Palm Springs is the ideal place for all three!) This blue crochet dress from Target was an end of the season sale buy back in the fall for last summer but I held onto it tight till spring hit. Luckily Target has a few similar styles currently in stock which I link to below 🙂
I am always one for a comfy yet stylish dress and for some reason I am loving bell sleeves + crochet this season, so I linked to a few similar styles below.
A summer shoe staple are tan sandal wedges like these beauties from Tory Burch (my summer staple purchase last year) but there are some similar styles available below 🙂
One of my favorite bag brands to rock year round is GiGi NY. From clutches to totes to satchels + more, GiGi NY (made in my hometown on Long Island) are great quality leather and always on trend!
Happy Friday Babes! Guess what…It’s OFFICIALLY FALL! Yesterday was the first day of fall so that means it’s time to start styling some great fall ensembles that are stylish yet warm and cozy at the same time (although in LA I don’t really need to be ‘warm and cozy’ hehe :p). Since LA is actually experiencing 90 degree temps at the moment (no joke haha) I decided to mix some fall pieces with some summer ones! I teamed up with three brands that are on my ‘Must Shop List‘ of the moment…Tart Collections, GiGi NY + Restricted Shoes!
I have a bit of a love obsession with faux fur vests (honestly I can figure out a way to style them year round haha :p), so when Tart Collections sent me their Gabriel Vest I instantly fell in L O V E (plus if you use code –FALLMELISSA15 for 15% off) ♥ So despite the warm LA weather, I decided to pair this chic vest over a simple sweater (I love the length and the shaggy design since it is flattering and not puffy which can sometimes make you look a little bigger). My lightweight pullover sweater is from Target + it is only $6!! No joke, $6 — making it the perfect sweater for early autumn layering!
Now time for fall accessories! My new chunky heels (perfectly on trend for fall 2016) are from Restricted Shoes. They are called the ‘Gossip’ heel + here is the gossip 😉 They are comfortable, stylish + are great for work or play…I am able to wear them all day without experiencing any pain or discomfort (yasss) AND they are simple to be styled with dresses, skirts, jeans + more!
My new fall clutch is from my fav handbag brand straight from my hometown on Long Island (#represent haha), GiGi NY! This is their new Stella Fold-over Clutch in gray. It comes with a removable crossbody strap if you choose not to wear it as a clutch and it has room for all of your essentials (making it ideal for weekend adventures or even a Girl’s Night Out)!
The pair of shoes below are similar, but you can shop my exact pair from Restricted Shoes HERE AND you can use code – MISSY25 for 25% off site wide!
OnWednesdays…I wear P I N K ♥ This is a late night post because I had a pretty hectic day today (seriously believing that Mercury being in retrograde today is throwing me off my game hehe :p). However, no matter how busy I am, I can’t miss out on the prime opportunity to post a ‘pink‘ outfit on a Wednesday a-laMean Girls! This pink dress is actually only $13 from Sammy Dress + has become one of my comfy weekend staples since it is just a flowy, easy dress to wear for errands, brunch, adventures + beyond!
My sunnies are pretty much my signature for year round wear…RayBans!!
So as for this amazingly comfy + stylish Little Pink Dress from Sammy Dress…it’s pretty much the best thing ever (and I am no even exaggerating :p). I love easy pieces I can just slip on when I am in a rush in the morning and for $13 this dress is perfect for that! Great quality, fast shipping + can be dressed up or down for different occasions!
I decided to dress this look down (hey I can be casual every now + then :p). I have had these metallic silver Converse since I was in high school! Crazy I know…but they are still a favorite of mine!
And since I always love to include a little ‘Pop Of Color‘, I decided to bring out my magenta GiGi NY clutch! I have a slight obsession with GiGi NY. Partly because they are made and based out of my hometown on Long Island (gotta rep LI in LA hehe :p) but also because they are great quality products for a price that won’t break the bank AND they are unique from every other brand in the market!
