    Spring Transition…

MissyOnMadison fashionblogger fauxfurvest whiteskinnyjeans blackfloppyhat navysuedeoverhtekneeboots otkboots cobaltblueblouse whiteboyfriendblazerI am determined to make it spring outside…I am over the slushy sidewalks, constant fear of snow screwing up my commute and the fact that it makes me sleepier than usual (case in point I am practically falling asleep while writing this…in case you didn’t know, I write my posts the night before they are published…9/10 times I am wrapped in a towel with wet hair laying on my bed having the constant battle in my head of whether to write the post or pass out…clearly we see what won…writing the post haha) I LOVE color year round, so it’s no surprise that for one of the freezing days at NYFW I decided to wear shades of white, blue and black (all I am missing is gold and it could potentially be #The Dress…seriously didn’t understand that whole craze for all of 24 hours haha) Anyways…Back to what I am wearing and how it can transition perfectly into the spring.

MissyOnMadison fashionblogger fauxfurvest whiteskinnyjeans blackfloppyhat navysuedeoverhtekneeboots otkboots cobaltblueblouse whiteboyfriendblazerI love everything about today’s look because all of the pieces can be worn in various ways. A faux fur vest is a great option to wear well into spring because it keeps ya warm without the bulkiness of a coat…what I did here to keep me warm, is simply layer it over my white boyfriend blazer (did I mention how much I love white blazers…pretty much love them more than black ones..clearly not traditional haha). And what matches with a white blazer better than white pants right? #Obsessed + For my ‘Pop Of Color’ a cobalt blue blouse…my favorite color for spring…summer…pretty much year round 😉

MissyOnMadison fashionblogger fauxfurvest whiteskinnyjeans blackfloppyhat navysuedeoverhtekneeboots otkboots cobaltblueblouse whiteboyfriendblazerAccessories wise I kinda did ‘All Black Everything’ minus my navy suede OTK boots that is 😉 How great are they? I can’t believe I scored them on clearance at Nordstrom Rack (basically they were a present to myself when I ‘even exchanged’ the gift my mom got me for Christmas…hey it’s still a present right? :p) I have worn this black floppy hat in a few different outfit posts now…once in Florida by the pool, once with a chic red sweater and once with my snow day outfit. And of course my newest handbag investment…the Gucci Soho Work Tote…I seriously love it and wear it everyday to work…best bag for commuting <3

MissyOnMadison fashionblogger fauxfurvest whiteskinnyjeans blackfloppyhat navysuedeoverhtekneeboots otkboots cobaltblueblouse whiteboyfriendblazerOn a side note, I got my first ever facial at Sisley Paris in NYC last night and it was the BEST facial I ever got in my life…I left with my skin feeling rejuvenated, fresh and as soft as a baby’s bottom 😉 I can’t wait to go back and save up to own all of their products (maybe I will have to cut back on the shopping…hmmm #WhatIsAGirlToDo?)MissyOnMadison fashionblogger fauxfurvest whiteskinnyjeans blackfloppyhat navysuedeoverhtekneeboots otkboots cobaltblueblouse whiteboyfriendblazerMissyOnMadison fashionblogger fauxfurvest whiteskinnyjeans blackfloppyhat navysuedeoverhtekneeboots otkboots cobaltblueblouse whiteboyfriendblazer*Photos By Lydia Hudgens

    Feeling Feisty

    20140324-101833.jpg

Happy Monday Fashion Lovers! I feel like a brand new woman this morning because I officially have 20/20 vision! No more fumbling with contacts or getting dry eyes…this chick can see clearly now  and I’ve never been happier 🙂

I love this look because why not start the week off with a bang! I love a cute faux fur vest and even more so, I love a little leopard…it’s sexy, fierce and fun…you can’t beat that combination! I scored this Karen Kane vest on clearance two years ago at Lord & Taylor and still wear it religiously from season to season…not only does it keep me warm, it’s as chic as can be.

Another piece I loveeee about this look is this Michael Kors bag. As I was putting outfits together for future blog posts I found this gem in my closet and totally forgot purchasing it (#bloggerproblems). I bought this over the summer because it reminded me of the gorgeous Stella McCartney bag {Here} I wanted that I simply wasn’t ready to splurge on yet, and honestly this Michael Kors bag does just the trick and it is simply stunning for work or play!

In addition to the perfect bag, the outfit wouldn’t be complete without these fabulous nude booties from Nine West. They are comfortable, stylish and make me feel even more feisty in this simple ensemble 😉

I feel like I’m finally ready to take the world by storm, so excuse me while I prance around NYC with perfect vision 🙂

    Glitz & Glam!

    20140317-093311.jpg

Happy Monday fashion lovers 🙂 This look is definitely not my ‘#OOTD‘, but it’s a look that is fit for a diva…which I admit, I occasionally like to be! This is the kind of ensemble meant for a night out in NYC, going from dinner to drinks with the girls or a date night…it’s sexy, fun and makes you stand out from the crowd.

What I love most about this outfit is this skirt. Hard to believe it’s from the LC By Lauren Conrad collection at Kohls, scored on clearance for $8, but it’s true! Every time I wear it, I get nothing but compliments on it and everyone assumes it’s a ‘designer’ brand from a high end store…well the secret is out ladies, this skirt is from one of my favorite stores, Kohls! I have a thing for Lauren Conrad’s collection. All of her pieces fit me wonderfully and the prices are always reasonable…that’s a winning combination if you ask me 🙂

If the skirt wasn’t chic enough, add a faux fur vest and you get instant glam! To add a little extra ‘oomph’ I paired it with some high black boots because if the look wasn’t sexy enough, these boots definitely helped do it!

I wish I was able to wear this look to the office, but I think it may be a little too much, don’t ya think? Plus it’s back to freezing again in NYC…will this bitter cold ever end? 🙁 I want to bring out my spring wardrobe!

    Killer Cobalt

    20140131-123050.jpg

This is one of my favorite outfits on the blog to date! As you know by now…color is a key part of my wardrobe and when I am feeling extra glamorous, I have a thing for faux fur, so when I put this outfit on I was in heaven!

I looked in the mirror and had a Carrie Bradshaw moment thinking all I needed was a girls night out with some cosmos and I am ready to go 😉 I have been walking a fine line this winter between wanting to dress warm and cozy but also wanting to look sexy and trendy…this look went for the later. I can assure you that I can’t walk out of the house in just this (yes, I actually have to wear a coat ugh, but as long as it’s Michael Kors I suppose I’ll survive lol), but once I get to where I’m going, this outfit is simply stunning.

One of my favorite things about my wardrobe and this outfit is that every piece is affordable…I never splurge except for on handbags ( hence my Louis Vuitton obsession), but when it comes to clothes, in order to have more options, I often times shop the sale and clearance section and that’s how every piece in this outfit cam about (minus the clutch…that’s a slightly different story 😉 )!

This clutch was given to me by my mom who received it from her mother as a gift from Louis Vuitton in Paris so it’s pretty legit, every time I wear it my mom never hesitates to remind me the history of it and ‘You better not loose it’! Well so far I haven’t and because i love it so much I had to add it to the glitz and glamour of this outfit!

    Chic Chambray

    20140102-102829.jpg
Brrrr….It’s cold in here there must be some chambray in the atmosphere…sorry I had to do that but anyways, point is, it is freezing and snowing in NYC! Of course these photos were taken when it was actually sunny and bearable outside, but this outfit can be worn for any temperature depending on how you style it.

One of the things I love about Chambray is the fact that you can dress it up or down just by pairing it with different outfits. I love this look, a simple pair of gray Abercrombie pants (while I used to feel Abercrombie was soo middle school, I’m actually loving their pants…they fit great and are always on sale!), a chic faux fur vest from H&M, a simple pair of black shooties from Nine West and to add a little extra ‘Pop Of Color’, a red ‘Mini Mac’ bag from Rebecca Minkoff.

I love adding a little extra color to any outfit…what girl doesn’t want to stand out? Another great thing about this look? It’s makes for a great ‘Day to Night’ transition…after a long day at the office this look is perfect for any happy hour!

On a side note, this is my first post of 2014! I can’t believe it’s already January and already a brand new calendar year…is it just me or did 2013 fly by? Well, one of my New Year’s resolutions? Keep up the blogging and hopefully reach an even bigger audience than I already have!
