Jean season is coming back around…although I wear skinny jeans year round, during the hot summer months I tend to live in shorts, skirts and dresses (why wear jeans when those can be worn whenever right? :p) Well now that fall is quickly approaching, distressed skinny jeans have been on the top of my ‘must have‘ list…along with a cute denim vest to really work the whole ‘denim on denim‘ trend.

Finding the right jeans has always been a challenge for me. They are always either too short, too long, too tight, too loose or just all around not my style. Jeans shopping is one of the shopping experiences I have always tried to avoid. Me…avoiding shopping? Yes it is an actual thing that happens haha But I am pretty sure I found my perfect fit and it is Mossimo jeans from Target!
Target sent me a few pairs of jeans to try out for a couple of weeks and see if they are something that I actually want to wear every day and YES I grabbed these 3 pairs to wear pretty much all of the time. The Mossimo skinny jeans and jeggings hug my curves, show off my calves and are comfortable enough to run around in all day without feeling suffocated or agitated (a problem I tend to have with certain brands of jeans but not Target!).
My favorite pair (while I in fact love them all) was this light wash slightly distressed skinny jegging. I wore them while hanging around at Kristi’s on a Sunday and then also wore them out and about for brunch, work and even girl’s night! They can be styled in a variety of ways and I like cuffing up the bottom to change up their look.
My close second was this pair of Mossimo mid-rise medium wash skinny jeans. I think these are perfect for a night out…especially with an open back top like I wore below…got to show off that booty right 😉 These do in fact add a little ‘lift’ and are awesome ‘booty’ jeans in my opinion :p
Starting July 26th, you can try on Target denim in the store to receive $10 off. Be sure to check out the rest of their denim here: www.target.com/jeans

And here it is…my first outfit post shot and written in LA! I am beyond thrilled to be fully moved into my West Hollywood apartment and am ready to get back to my blogging routine (it’s been a little rough the past few weeks between furniture shopping, getting settled in and finding my way around LA…it’s a lot for even a NY girl to handle :p)! Well let me first give props to my amazing roommate Ali who is now replacing my brother as photographer (he can’t move out here to be my personal photographer just yet…trust me I tried…my mother wasn’t having it haha). This look was shot at the LACMA museum in LA…you may recognize these lamp posts from a bunch of movies and tv shows (my personal favorite being ‘Friends With Benefits’)…I am obsessed with them (I actually shot a cute LBD moment in front of them last year when I was visiting!)
Happy Humpday Loves! Sorry if I have been a little
MIA…LA vibes had me relaxing and enjoying a break from my hectic schedule but I am right back at it with events, posting and outfit shoots (ugh take me back to Cali stat!). This look was shot before I flew off to Los Angeles and let me tell ya it wasn’t even warm enough there to wear this! Who would have thought that Long Island would have nicer weather than LA…apparently the term for it is ‘June Gloom’ well that it was :p
