I hope ya’ll had a great weekend! We spent the weekend carving pumpkins (see more on my Instastories), watching Hocus Pocus + visiting a pet fair (unfortunately all the pets were adopted by the time we got there :/ but we are still in the process of visiting local shelters to rescue a pet in need!) I am in full on Halloween mode (ICYMI – I shared a full Halloween shopping guide yesterday HERE), so I had to share a little look to get you in a spooky mood featuring one of my favorite tees from Target!
I am loving this tee I spotted at Target. I am not one for ‘booze‘ hehe but I am one for boo’s :p hehe Target honestly has some of the cutest Halloween tees, if you aren’t one for costumes I would highly suggest stocking up on some of these cute tees.
I love this one because of the play on words haha but also because it is easy to style with anything! I paired it with a white skater skirt + denim jacket.
I am obsessing on white booties for fall + these beauties are the perfect ones. I scored them for under $30 at Charlotte Russe + found a similar pair I am also loving from Missguided here.
I am in the midst of prepping for a busy weekend ahead filled with outfit shoots, events + getting my microblading touched up. ICYMI, I did microblading for my brows a year ago so now it is time for my touch up. It was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had + my brows came out FLAWLESS. If you are on the fence about doing it, I highly suggest you take the plunge + DO IT! It cuts my makeup time down significantly + if you are a quick morning maintenance person like me, microblading will change your world!
Anyways…back to the business at hand, embracing yellow for fall, a great idea…right?! I LOVE a good pop of color as you all know, so I couldn’t help but fall in love with this fun yellow dress from Shop The Mint. I styled it in a cool, trendy way I think hehe and I love how versatile it is from season to season.
ICYMI – I have a slight obsession with the Minions…especially FLUFFY the unicorn haha :p So while we were shooting this look, my BF aka my photographer thought it would be cute for me to include one of my many Fluffy dolls…He literally pulled it out of the car, I didn’t even know he brought it haha Quite the surprise to keep me smiling during photo shoot time.
I styled this dress with a chic denim jacket, another signature piece I strongly believe every gal needs in her wardrobe. For years, I have been buying all of my denim from Old Navy. I find the quality, fit + price to be the best around AND the pieces I buy last me years!
It’s rare that I sport a casual look, but when I got these Steve Madden espadrilles, I had to embrace a casual vibe. I love the idea of wearing espadrilles well into fall + these ones are perfect.
This bag is a major summer trend + I am loving it because it is at a low price point so it’s one of those trends you can rock without breaking the bank.
Temps are heating up in LA and that means…yes you guessed it, dress time! I normally live in dresses year round, but now I live in them even more so because of the warm weather. I am not one to wear sleeveless dresses without covering my arms (I guess my arms are an area I typically like to cover) but wearing a denim jacket in warm temps is not going to happen…so my solution? Styling it on your shoulders! Ok, to be honest I have seen this trend with blazers, moto jackets + more for years but felt I couldn’t pull it off…till I actually tried. Side note: Never be afraid to step outside your comfort zone when it comes to fashion, amazing things can happen that ultimately shape your personal style!
My dress is from one of my favorite online boutiques, Shop The Mint and it’s currently sold out but I linked to similar styles below (plus usually you can add items from their website to a ‘wishlist‘ and they will come back on the site for purchase relatively soon)!
My denim jacket is from Old Navy + currently On SALE! Who doesn’t love a good sale?! This jacket has lasted me years + is honestly a staple every gal should have in their closet! Dress it up or down, it is perfect for any occasion.
Happy Monday ♥ Time for another busy week but I am actually excited about the weekend being over because it means we are that much closer to Thursday which is when my dad is flying out from NY to visit me! I am SO excited since this is going to be the first time he has seen me in LA since we road tripped here for my big move 2 years ago (it’s officially 2 years as of June 8th)! Crazy how time flies huh? Here’s to TWO years + many more successful years to come in LA LA Land! Anyways, my dad will finally see his little girl all grown up with her own place (and TWO walk in closets), settled in just fine. Maybe there will be a new ‘walk in’ closet for every year I am in LA…hopefully next year brings three haha I am sure I will accumulate plenty of more clothes + shoes by then :p
I spent the weekend trying to get my apartment in tip-top shape…I have never felt so domestic lol Between cleaning, laundry + cooking, I am officially ready to change my name to ‘Missy Stewart‘ haha move over Martha 😉
Besides hanging home I did a little shopping at one of my favorite stores to get the best ‘Looks For Less‘…Old Navy!
Happy Monday ♥ I hope you all had a nice weekend! My highlight was clearly tracking down some of the best street art in LA (thanks to Studio DIY’s ‘Wall Crawl’ post) to take outfit photos in front of it (I mean come on, who doesn’t think that’s fun :p) haha! Well in addition to tracking down street art + taking photos, I began attempting to learn how to edit photos in Lightroom (bare with me on that haha). I know everyone uses it and I have tried it out here + there, but my new goal is to fully master it — are any of you guys Lightroom fans?! I would love to hear your feedback + any tips / tricks that I should try out 🙂
In addition to tracking down street art, I began fully embracing fall by styling this new look featuring one of my favorite autumn hues…maroon! It’s crazy to me that it’s already October…in LA it feels like endless summer, so honestly I am not really wearing boots yet but I figured I need to begin putting fall looks together so why not start now 😉
One of my main ways for coming up with outfits is starting with one piece I want to style and then pick the pieces that go with it perfectly. I couldn’t wait to style this SheIn Maroon Dress with some navy pieces! What is great about this dress is that it can be worn for spring / summer without a jacket + then for fall / winter layer a lightweight denim jacket (like this one from Old Navy) or even a cozy cardigan or blazer depending the occasion.
I really liked the combo of navy + maroon so I pulled my navy blue suede otk boots (similar style) out of the back of my ‘fall / winter’ closet (yes I have two closets for the different seasons haha no joke :p) + styled those with this look as well! I love how they are great with jeans, dresses + slack for work etc. The chunky heel makes them comfortable + the navy hue matches with just about everything…kinda believing ‘navy is the new black :p’!
Anyone who knows me, knows I LOVE a good pair of sunnies so I was super excited when ILYMIX sent me these new sunglasses for fall! I have been on the hunt for metallic silver sunnies + this pair is under $20 but look like they are super expensive…that’s just how I like it 😉 Great quality + style but for less!
