Happy Wednesday Babes! Sorry for being MIA but I was swamped this past few days because my dad was in town from New York! He visited me for Father’s Day and in one jam packed weekend we headed to Palm Springs, Santa Barbara, Beverly Hills, Weho, Hollywood + more. From heading to the Petersen Automotive Museum to check out some sweet rides to visiting the desert + stopping along at local stops, this weekend was filled with tons of adventure!

Anyways…now that I cleared up why I’ve been MIA the past few days, back to this gorgeous outfit that combines my two favorite things: a classic look + P O P s of color! From the cobalt blue pencil skirt to a chic white boyfriend blazer + white heels, this look is great for date night, the office, happy hour + beyond (and with affordable prices…this outfit is a MUST).

I scored this skirt + body suit from this new site called ‘Jewel Toned‘ that has the best shapewear for work + play.

This skirt has lace trim, a great fit + is only $38! The bodysuit that is great for hitting the club (not that I really hit the club ever haha) or just any occasion is only $61 (it also has adjustable straps to get the perfect fit).

My white boyfriend blazer is from Kohls but I found a similar style from Nordstrom here!

My cobalt blue crosssbody bag is from Charming Charlie + is only $22!

The white ankle strap heels are an oldie but a goodie, I can’t even remember where I got them, but similar styles are linked to below.

What better way to truly ‘shine‘ + ‘stand out‘ on Valentine’s Day than with some metallic shoes and accessories!! These metallic silver gladiator sandal heels are sexy, sassy + truly make a statement…plus they match with everything and can also be toned down with a pair of skinny jeans (perfect shoe for any occasion).

My silver clutch (similar to this one from GiGi NY) is also an easy go-to for any night out and is a great alternative to the typical little black clutch or cross body.

It wouldn’t be Valentine’s Day without having yourself a little ‘L O V E‘♥ I think I have plenty :p I’ve had a thing for dainty + delicate jewels lately like this long chain circle pendant necklace + X Ring…since it’s the most romantic night of the year, this Love Ring + Love Necklace were basically required 🙂

I love me an LBD…and a great Giveaway! With Valentine’s Day just days away I decided to share a little ‘Date Night’ style with you all and guess what…I may actually a date for the special day (it may or may not be my adorable dog Charlie…guess you will all have to stay tuned to find out!) Nothing pulls a look together better than a great red lip! Whether your a lipstick kinda gal or you prefer a tinted gloss, a red lip can instantly transform your look and make your lips so much more kissable! Think about it, what is sexier than a woman applying lipstick or lip gloss, puckering up and having that feeling of satisfaction once she is finished…umm nothing!

As Valentines Day approaches, here is my roundup of my favorite Red lip colors coming in a variety of shades and prices…making the classic red lip and easy ‘Do’ for every gal this season! Whether it’s a girls night out or a hot date night, trust me you can never go wrong with a chic red lip!

While I’m not afraid to admit I tend to always go for a ‘nude’ or neutral gloss, every once in a while I feel inspired to spice things up with a shot of red. I’ve always been envious of the girls who had the confidence to pull of a red lip…I was constantly worried that red simply didn’t match with my skin tone or feared looking like a clown or an old lady, but the trick to a perfect red lip is easy…find what shade works best for you. It can be a 99 cent brand or a designer brand, doesn’t make a difference, not all reds look good on everyone…find what works for you!

My personal favorite is ‘Red Haute‘ from Ulta…just the name won me over and the shade suits me perfectly (the one I’m applying in the pictures 😉 )!
