I hope you all had a great weekend! Mine was filled with photoshoots as per usual 😛 Life of a blogger…photos all day, everyday! Anyways…I know we may be falling for fall at the moment, but I still have plenty of summer looks I haven’t shared yet + since it was actually 95 degrees where I live in LA over the weekend, I felt this look was appropriate to spread some sunshine everywhere. Who doesn’t like to brighten things up heading into a new work week, right?
I LOVE this matching set from AMI Clubwear. The stretchy material makes it super comfortable to wear throughout the day + you can dress it up with heels or down with sandals…either way it is a total must have! They only have a few sizes available of this set left so I linked to some similar styles below as well.
Honestly, I feel like you can even style this look for the fall, just layer a cozy cardigan over it + some booties!
I will be styling this Cult Gaia Bag well into fall because honestly, why not. Isn’t it super cute to wear year round?
My cork ankle strap heels have been my go-to since last fall. They are comfortable, match with everything + are a staple for every fashionista!
It is officially spring + that means new dresses, lightweight jackets + open toe shoes (oh wait…I think I wear these year round anyways hehe :p). I love a simple dress with a denim jacket layered over it since it is such an easy go-to look, just throw it on + you are ready for anything. I wore this Tart Collections dress in Florida and it was perfect for the warm weather during the day + the cooler weather at night with a jacket over it. Tart Collection has great styles whether it is outerwear, blouses, dresses + pants and beyond (plus they range from regular to plus size and are available at Nordstrom + a few other retailers)!
I am obsessed with this dress because it is a great print for spring + lightweight. There are a bunch of similar styles as well in different color variations, prints etc.
I am also loving cork heels for spring since they are great to style with a dress, skirt or jeans + the cork style matches with every look. My go-to bag for running errands or heading out with friends is this Gucci camera bag (similar).
I am currently in total spring cleaning mode packing my current place + moving into my new place (this week is moving week) BUT I am also wanting to stock up my wardrobe for spring…not shopping while moving is so difficult let me tell ya haha :p
Luckily this outfit was put together with signature pieces I have had for years. I honestly feel a denim jacket is one of those key pieces you need in your wardrobe that will last you years! Mine has lasted me through high school all the way to now 🙂
I hope ya’ll had a great weekend! I am prepping for another crazy week filled with work, events, shoots + prepping to move. Yup, Missy is moving and I can’t wait!! I spent the weekend furniture shopping and designing my perfect home office space and living space with my boo. We are moving into a new place + that means plenty of decor + interior design content to come (because who doesn’t obsess over HGTV specials + dream of designing their home that way? Am I right?! :p)
We move in in the next few weeks so it’s a lot of picking styles, laying out the space + envisioning what it’ll be like to live there. I for one can’t wait for a bigger place because my apartment is a bit cramped so we are moving a little ways from LA where there is more space + less congestion…I may be a city girl but honestly as I have gotten older, I much prefer a quiet, humble abode. Anyways, to take my mind off the hectic moving plans (and little boxing up my three closets worth of clothes haha) I am taking a look back at one of my casual easy looks I wore in Paris over the fall that is a perfect spring transition look!
Looking back at these photos has me dreaming of my next trip to Paris. I honestly loved this city (mainly due to it’s beauty + duty free shopping) hehe but also because it’s a place wear casual chic is the style of choice. I lived in easy dresses + cardigans when I was there in the fall, and this look was one of my favorites.
Old Navy is my go-to when it comes to fit & flare dress options. Whether you like a v-neck, square shape or round neck, they have different silhouettes, colors + designs that fit your look + taste. In my opinion you can never go wrong with a simply black fit & flare like this one, so I tend to pack this with me on every trip since you can dress it up or down depending on the occasion! Best part? 90% of the time they are ON SALE from Old Navy (especially online, they have discounts daily)!
I am also loving a great duster cardigan like this one to style with a dress, jeans or even shorts + a blouse. It is easy to layer over + looks a little dressier than your average sweater cardigan.
This Louis Vuitton Pouchette Metis is now my everyday go-to bag. It fits everything + was the most convenient bag to wear around Paris while exploring. I added a little puff keychain just because I always love a little ‘Pop Of Color‘ hehe :p
My shoes are currently under $50 from GUESS and they are the perfect spring shoe with their cork design + comfy heel!
An easy spring look with just three pieces? Count me in!
ICYMI – a NEWinstagram worthy experience has come to LA…Candytopia! Think Museum Of Ice Cream except dedicated to all things CANDY. From life-size art made out of everything from Twizzlers to gum drops to jelly beans + more to a pool filled with marshmallows to fun photo moment backdrops perfect for your insta feed, Candytopia has got it ALL! See some of my favorite photo opps below, along with details on the outfit I wore!
So I totally didn’t do this fun room justice because I am way too serious to do silly poses where it looks like you are falling down into a hole…the room was specifically designed for that but instead I stuck with the traditional blogger pose in front of a colored wall haha!!
What is better than living on a cloud? I LOVED this backdrop for a few reasons…OK maybe just one…it matches my Instagram feed perfectly haha!! (and my outfit :p)
If you are thinking of heading to Candytopia I highly suggest you purchase your tickets ahead of time online to reserve your spot, if you can try to go during the week during the day so you aren’t rushed during your photo opps AND be prepared to snack on tons of candy!!
P.S. I highly suggest you bring your camera, iPhone works great as well but there isn’t natural light so you may want to play with lighting settings on a DSLR for the best photo quality for posting 🙂
