I decided to share the spotlight with one of the most important parts of my life: my dog Charlie! My dad being the brilliant guy he is suggested I do a photo shoot with my little munchkin and right away I reminisced of a Miss Charlotte York (Sex and The City) and her King Charles Cavalier Spaniel named ‘Elizabeth Taylor‘. My look was inspired by Charlotte because tell me you couldn’t see Charlotte walking through central park in bright blue pumps and a tweed blazer…I sure could 🙂
So it may still be winter in NYC but I just came back from Vegas where there was nothing but sunny skies and palm trees…putting me in the mood to post a bright and minty fresh outfit 😉 (get it mint…minty fresh haha)!
Something I learned is that whenever I wear a bright color my mood is instantly lifted…I feel like a new person and it’s as if all eyes are on me…because when doesn’t a little neon grab your attention? I scored this chic blazer on clearance for $10 at H&M a year ago and I must say it always makes a statement. I paired it with a flirty polka dot skirt, my fav Prabal Gurung for Target heels and my trustee Rebecca Minkoff ‘mini mac bag‘. This bag is perfect for anything…it’s my go to 🙂
I also love these heels because they are not only stylish, but super comfortable and can go with a dress, skirt, jeans, shorts or just about anything! They were one of my go to shoes for Vegas although I spent the whole trip working :/…safe to say I can’t wait to go back for some true fun in the sun and in the casino! I was in Vegas on business but next time it will definitely be for some pleasure!
Here’s to wishing for some warmer weather so I can actually wear an outfit like this to work rather than just for playing dress up on the weekends 🙂

My Perfect ‘Date Night’ Envelope Clutch from Target!
While I am a big bag kind of girl (obsessed with my Louis Vuitton NeverFulls), there comes a time when a lady wants to be a little chic and carry a simply yet elegant bag that has just enough room for the ‘basic necessities’…I.E the Envelope Clutch!
I believe the ‘Envelope Clutch’ is a fashion staple every fashionista should own. It’s simple and chic, perfect for your ID, Credit Card, Lipstick, Mascara and your keys…what else can a girl ask for? Now while I lust after some serious beauties…Prada, Chanel, Gucci, you get the idea, I certainly can’t afford them, so I scored my perfect clutch on clearance at Target months ago! Working in NYC I tend to get asked a lot, ‘Excuse me what time is it?’…Yes, hard to believe that in the age where we wear watches as a bracelet and have phones glued to our hands, that people still ask eachother what time it is but hey to each his own. Anyway, there is no better way to accessorize an outfit and keep on track during the day than with a watch that stands out and will never go out of style.
This brings me to why I LOVE Michael Kors watches. Besides the fact that I have a major style crush on Michael and think no one ever made jeans, a white tee and a black blazer look so good…I love that he caters to every type of woman. Meaning he has watches that are $150-$300 for the gal in high school, college, or a newbie to the working world, and then he has pieces that can cost upwards of $800…the choice is completely up to you. He makes versatile styles that can go with any outfit and the best part in my opinion is the quality.
I’m not going to lie, I happen to be guilty of owning a few Michael Kors watches myself…because like shoes, handbags and outfits…a fashionista always needs options. However something I will always love about a good watch is that it is timeless (haha had to throw that in there..time..timeless..oh it’s going to be a great day 🙂 ) Anyway, watches are a signature staple of every outfit and whichever you wear says a lot about you…whether it’s bedazzled, simple, pink, blue…that watch speaks wonders about your personality and when someone shakes your hand…it’s part of a first or last impress 😉 Choose Wisely!
