    Fashion Fights Cancer!

ffcturbans fashionfightscancer cancerbenefit cencer charity ifb blogger bloggingevent nyc pier59 chelseapiers missyonmadison wine liquor alcoholLast night I had the pleasure of helping to fight cancer with other blogging fashionistas at Chelsea Piers in NYC by creating DIY turbans! While I am far from artsy or crafty, I figured if it helps fight cancer I’m on board!

IFB and the Fashion Fights Cancer organization brought a bunch of bloggers together to make and create turbans. Yes, needle and thread status. Buttons, fabric, ribbon and more…these turbans became quite ‘unique’…especially mine which I have to admit I am to embarrassed to share :p! Read more

    My Vegas Trip Photo Diary!

    20140226-105719.jpg

So as any of you who follow my Instagram may know, last week I went on my first ever trip to Las Vegas! First of all, it was my first time on an airplane since I was 5 so when I got to the airport not wearing socks and not thinking to weigh my luggage ahead of time, I was in for a few surprises haha!

I went to Vegas for work and not play unfortunately, the FFANY gals were there to work on our charity venture QVC Presents FFANY ‘Shoes On Sale’ by meeting new contacts and soliciting for donations! May I just say everything in Vegas is over the top and huge including the trade shows, you can walk forever in the different halls.

We even got to visit the Zappos headquarters…must say it was pretty awesome to see how they revolutionized downtown Las Vegas…all thanks to shoes and some other amazing items!

Naturally my favorite part of the trip was the weather. Palm trees everywhere, sunny skies and an opportunity for me to wear dresses and sandals! 🙂 It was quite the escape from the bitter polar vortex in NYC! We stayed at the Bellagio, which made for tons of photos. Whether it was the botanical garden, the lovely shops or the fountains and pools, I was snapping pictures everywhere!

Of course it wouldn’t have been a proper trip to Vegas without bringing home a little souvenier. While I left the snowglobes, pens and hats for my little sister, I opted to bring home a little something special…a new Tiffany and Co. bracelet I’ve been lusting after for a while. You can shop it –> HERE.

In my mind, the best gifts are the ones you give yourself… 😉

Check out all my photos & be sure to Tweet me @MissyOnMadison & ‘Like‘ the Facebook page! 🙂

    Fur & Florals!

20131001-073141.jpgToday called for a simple, comfy and easy look. I will be running around all day in preparation for the huge 20th Anniversary of QVC Presents ‘FFANY Shoes On Sale’ tonight hosted by the lovely Julianne Hough!

This outfit was an easy go to. Perfect to wear to the office then to the salon and to the hotel to get ready for the black tie gala. Stay tuned for tons of pictures from tonight including my killer outfit I scored at an amazing deal, but back to the day ensemble.

I’ve had a little obsession with Abercrombie lately, so I wore this flowy floral top with my black Karen Kane vest over it, a blue knit skirt from Urban Outfitters and new cut out suede booties from Payless!

I love these booties because they are comfortable and affordable. They are identical to ones I’ve seen from Steve Madden, Sam Edelman, etc but these were only $40 on sale while theirs all cost about $100 or more!

Once again this outfit can be dressed up or down. Throw the vest over the floral top and it instantly is dressier and it pulls the entire outfit together!

Happy Tuesday Fashionistas & stay tuned for coverage of tonight’s event! I will be live Tweeting, lnstagramming and Facebooking from the ‘Pink’ Carpet!

    Shop my OOTD:
    Top: Abercrombie $12
    Skirt: Urban Outfitters $10
    Shoes: Payless $40
    Vest: Karen Kane $2520131001-073155.jpg20131001-073211.jpg
