Ok, so I’m not afraid to admit it, I’m slightly obsessed with Ariana Grande. Her hair, her style and her voice are amazing and that makes her my #WCW for today 🙂 Ariana rocked it on the red carpet and on stage at the Billboard Music Awards this past weekend and I have the deets on how to score her look for less 😉 Not to mention this gal has swag, just look at this amazing photo from her photo shoot for her upcoming album!

So I know I typically write about my favorite trends for the season, what I’m wearing and where to score the best deals and steals, but I decided to finally embrace ‘WCW’ also known as Woman Crush Wednesday by doing a weekly post of my various girl crushes…in a role model way…not sexual way duh! 😉
I decided to start with Amy Schumer. If you don’t know who Amy is, boy are you in for a surprise. She is a comedian who truly speaks her mind, doesn’t give a fuck and is the epitome of an open book when it comes to her life. I had the pleasure of meeting Amy back when I was an intern at Howard Stern, in which she told a male intern he quote “looks like a rapist”….yup that’s Amy.
A Day With Dietch PR…
Missy was on the move again yesterday in NYC! I was so excited that LA based PR firm Dietch PR came to the Big Apple to show off their clients’ Fall / Winter 2014 collections! Naturally I had to snap some pics, pull my fav pieces and even try on a few before leaving with some amazing goodies from my friend Marra!
While Dietch represents tons of lines, I must admit the amazing graphic tees and jewels always get me. Like the tee I’m holding above from South Parade…Dear New York, I Will Always Love You…even if the weather occasionally stinks 😉
Coachella Inspired…
I may not be in Palm Springs for Coachella, but that doesn’t mean I can’t dress like I’m there 😉 This look was festival inspired and even had my lovely puppy Charlie join in on the ‘boho chic‘ fun!
This dress was scored on clearance 2 years ago and I loved it so much I bought it in every color it came in. It’s effortlessly chic and is comfy, stylish and the perfect go to dress for a warm spring or summer day…or in this case, it’s the perfect ‘go to’ dress to run around the dessert and listen to awesome music and spot celebrities at Coachella 🙂 (Why did I come back from Cali early?!)
SJP for Nordstrom Collection
Over the weekend I had the pleasure of visiting the limited edition Sarah Jessica Parker for Nordstrom pop-up shop in Soho! Safe to say this was the highlight of my weekend and pretty much my life, my little sister and I waited on live for 2 hours to meet Carrie Bradshaw herself and check out her exclusive Nordstrom collaboration in person!
So like many other girls out there, I aspire to be Carrie Bradshaw…stylish, independent, writing for Vogue with a killer Manhattan apartment and closet…although that may not be my current reality, something Carrie and I have in common is our love for footwear, which I shared with SJP when I finally got to speak to her and told her about how I work in the footwear industry in Manhattan and how my friends and family call me the modern day ‘Carrie Bradshaw’ (I could only hope 😉 )! I even spotted the legendary Andre Leon Talley while waiting on line to get in…fashion heaven!
Her line for Nordstrom isn’t just shoes, there’s jackets and bags all suiting for the gal on the go who loves to twirl in a tulle skirt or wear a pair of metallic heels with ripped boyfriend jeans…the possibilities are simply endless! I personally purchased the ‘Bobbie‘ in coral which is perfect for spring into summer for work or play. Now don’t get me wrong, while I love the collection, the price tag is a little steep for a fashionista on a budget like myself. Her shoes are being created in Italy by George Malkemus aka Mr. Manolo Blahnik (He is President of the company)! Talk about a winning combination…SJP put Manolo on the map during her ‘Sex and the City‘ days! Does ‘Hello Lover‘ ring a bell? 🙂
Sarah Jessica herself was a total sweet heart. She took photos with my sister and I and even chatted with us for a few minutes…best few minutes of my life! Safe to say Carrie didn’t disappoint and I will continue to dream of being proposed to with satin blue Manolo Blahnik’s in a custom built walk in closet on the penthouse level of an New York City building…I tend to dream big!
