Finding the perfect pair of jeans is far from easy…as I mentioned a few weeks ago, finding the ideal pair of jeans that flatter my body type has always been a challenge. They are either too long, too short, too baggy or too tight…I can’t win haha Well now I can…with Target Style!
Why blend in when you were born to stand out? Well for the purposes of this post, I am choosing to blend in 😉 It’s rare that your dress perfectly matches your surroundings, and when it happens you know you have to snap some photos! This Shabby Apple dress has become my summer time go-to because it’s easy, comfy and stands out in it’s own unique way…pair it with different accessories to dress it up or down and it’s a piece that can be worn all summer long.
What a weekend! I am thrilled to say this is the last of my outfits that was shot with snow on the ground…in fact over the weekend, I was able to shoot tons of new spring looks at the beach…with sand in between my toes (check out my SnapChat to see more — MissyOnMadison) <3 I must say, I definitely have a love/hate relationship with New York/Long Island. I LOVE summers in the Hamptons, long drives out to Montauk and tanning by the pool…but then when winter rolls around I tend to find myself in a bit of a depression having to shovel myself out of feet of snow surrounding my house. It’s tough, it’s nuts and I may be a little cray cray…but for the next few months I will love New York…but come fall no guarantees 😉
However something I will always love…you guessed a ‘Pop Of Color‘ que the blue coat! I literally had to have this coat and when the time came for me to snag it on sale I knew it was meant to be…
Happy Thursday Lovers! I titled this post ‘Snow Flake’ because the combination of the baby blue cable knit sweater, ivory tulle skirt and metallic accessories made me instantly think of snow flake holiday decoration that is hanging in one of the windows of my house at the moment. Snow flakes, like this outfit are simple yet elegant, they glimmer at night or during the day and are always bound to make you smile 🙂 I love wearing tulle skirts because they make me feel like that little girl that wants to be a princess (hell maybe that’s still me…oops). They are always an extra special piece to wear for any occasion…especially the holiday season. At times wearing a tulle skirt can be seen as ‘too much’ but styled the right way…totally do-able!I paired this LC Lauren Conrad tulle skirt with a cable knit sweater from Old Navy. I love the touch of baby blue especially because it can even be worn well into spring when the weather is still a tad cool in the early months. While I love this one from Old Navy, I found similar ones here + here (both for under $50!).Now time to break down my metallic accessories…because every snow flake wants to shine right? 😉 My silver pumps are from Christian Siriano for Payless (now on my Poshmark here) and are no longer available but I found a similar pair from DV By Dolce Vita on sale at Macy’s here!Next up? This metallic silver zip clutch is perfect for the Holiday season because it can be worn with absolutely EVERYTHING! Metallic is always statement making and dresses up any look. This clutch is from Carolinna Espinosa (on my Poshmark here / similar Steve Madden clutch here) and is no longer available but I found a similar one from Clare V. at Neiman Marcus here. And once again…had to rock my favorite piece of candy…arm candy I mean from Caravelle NY…the best piece to match with any Holiday ensemble…On a side note, I’d like to share a little personal update from the world of Missy. My little buddy Charlie just came home last night from having emergency eye surgery at the animal hospital. I don’t know about you, but my feeling is that Charlie isn’t just our family dog, he is truly a member of our family and to go through this little hiccup during the holiday season has been stressful on all of us. So with the merriest time of year upon us, always remember to be thankful, grateful and appreciative of what you have…whether it be family, friends, health or even your pet! | Click To Shop This Look |
Happy Wednesday Loves! This look features two of my favorite fall trends…cobalt blue and metallic…what more can a fashionista ask for? The lovely team at ShopMieux sent me these Zara metallic blue platform heels which are super comfortable and the perfect night out shoe (similar from ASOS here). I figured why stop the metallic moment at my footwear…why not add a metallic bag as well like my silver clutch from Carolinna Espinosa (similar from ShopBop here…use code FRIENDS25 for 25% off your purchase!). Now that we broke the metallics down…let’s get to the rest of this Humpday ensemble 😉 My cobalt blue blouse is from LC By Lauren Conrad AND you can score it now from my closet on Poshmark for a fraction of the cost! Like I mentioned earlier, from the bag to the shoes…I am loving metallic for fall…can you blame me? Metallic accessories, in my opinion really pull the look together…they add a little sparkle and shine (as if the sleeves on this top didn’t have enough of it..) and they can match with almost anything! My black scuba skirt is from Target, but I found a similar one available now from Nordstrom here. And to stay within the blue hues…mirrored aviators, my go to accessory! A little fun fact…while shooting this look at my local Tanger Outlets (what can I say why not shop & shoot at the same time haha!) a group of guys walked by and screamed out ‘Looking Good’ as I’m sitting there pretending to be a model…my brother aka my photographer just shook his head in embarrassment…sibling love at it’s finest 🙂Shop My Look<3
