So about last night…I had a special night with Andy…Andy Cohen that is 😉 What…you didn’t think I was getting dirty with you guys did you?! haha Last night the fabulous Andy Cohen stopped by my home town on Long Island for the first stop on his book tour for his latest book ‘The Andy Cohen Diaries‘, a hilarious book chronicling the day to day life of the mastermind behind the Real Housewives franchise and my favorite late night talk show, Watch What Happens Live.I have been an Andy lover for years…like I probably say ‘Mazel’ a million times a day and obsess over Housewives more than any other ‘celebrity’ on the planet. As always, Andy was hilarious, but some of my favorite quotes? Read them below:
(In reference to the similarities between Howard Stern and himself) –
“I feel my show and Howard’s show are very similar in certain ways…Howard Stern has his ‘Wack Pack’ that often call in or guest star on his show and the ‘Housewives’ in a way are my Wack Pack…without either of them, our show’s wouldn’t be fully complete.’
(In reference to a possibility of Housewives Of Long Island) –
“Well there is nothing in the works yet, the NY housewives often come out to Long Island but hey I love a Long Island lady.” Thanks Andy…us Long Island ladies love you too <3
(In reference to his work ethic and lack of sleep) –
“As I mention in my book, my day to day life is hectic and rarely do I get enough sleep or sleep period but hey I didn’t move to New York city to sleep.” My thoughts exactly Andy 😉
(In reference to whom out of his female friends he would date if he was straight & his thoughts on his friendship with this lady) –
“I would have to go with SJ (Sarah Jessica Parker)…being friends with SJ is like being friends with the Empire State Building…she is just a beam of glitz and glamour.” A photo of Andy and I from his appearance…yes I am beyond upset it came out blurry thanks to the staff at the book store…who would have thought taking a photo with an iPhone is so difficult…this just solidified my case for dragging my brother aka my photographer along to all my events with me 😉 Anywho, hearing Andy speak was all worth it <3 PS Caravelle New York helped me get Andy Cohen ready with this fabulous chocolate wrap watch they sent me yesterday and you can shop it here.| Click To Shop |
Happy Tuesday Loves! Can you tell I was listening to Destiny’s Child while writing this post? ‘Say My Name’ is one of my favorite songs and my other bit of inspiration for this post was Bravo’s new series called ‘Jersey Belle’ where Jersey native Jaime Primak Sullivan leaves the world of cannolis and the Sopranos for the preppy and fully monogrammed town of Mountain Brook, Alabama. I love how there was an entire episode just about how much southern women love their monograms. Bath towels, shirts, even underwear…all with their monograms…a little overboard, but nonetheless I’m kind of obsessed myself! Shop Dandy has all the monogramed pieces you are craving (they are a Southern boutique, so it’s only fitting they stock up on monograms!). I bought this lucite pencil holder (which I so cleverly turned into a places to store my makeup brushes) and an oversized signature key ring…it solved the whole loosing my keys in my oversized purse problem instantly 😉 I also love C wonder for great monogrammed pieces. I’ve gotten signature cuffs and jewelry boxes from them. Helps me remember who I am on days that I get so busy I practically loose my mind 😉 I also love Graphic Image New York / GiGi NY for some great leather and monograms…clutches, planners and phone cases…all with my stamp of approval, my initials <3Shop My Picks Below <3
Happy Humpday loves! Not only is it Humpday, but it is #WCW (Woman Crush Wednesday) and I am so excited to share this week’s crush with you, the fabulous shoe designer and fashionista Ruthie Davis! I had the pleasure of stopping by Ruthie’s showroom in Chelsea yesterday during a hectic market week in NYC and she was as fabulous as ever!
Just like Ruthie, her showroom was decked to the nines…I loved the incense, furniture, even the pillow! ‘The Higher The Heel The Better You Feel’…that’s one of Ruthie’s many mantras, but like she explained to me, the heel is great, but it is nothing without the right pitch. What makes Ruthie stand out amongst the sea of footwear designers in the industry is the fact that she creates works of art. She is a woman making gorgeous shoes for women…she understands the art of shoemaking, the work that goes into it and not only makes her shoes stand out with exquisite colors and designs, but with the fact that they are comfortable as well! Yes ladies, our prayers have been answered! 🙂Ruthie not only creates beautiful heels, but also fun and funky sneakers (she began her footwear journey with Reebok…so comfort and function are always key…even with sweet kicks like these!). I love how Ruthie is all about female empowerment. Girl Power all the way with Ruthie! She embraces the entrepreneur spirit, loves social media and embraces change within the industry….that’s why I have to admit I have a slight crush on her great spirit and the empire she has built!Ruthie has been a shoe lover since the age of 12 when she rocked her first pair of platforms to school. The other girls thought she was crazy, but in my opinion craziness breeds genius…and that is exactly what Ruthie is! I love how she takes inspiration from architecture and New York City for her shoes. Her heels are so unique that fashion lovers everywhere are flocking to her…including Lady Gaga and Beyonce! If you want to fit in, Ruthie’s shoes aren’t for you, they are for the modern woman who likes to take risks but look fabulous while doing it 😉Lady Gaga has been seen rocking Ruthie’s lucite heel design and she created a new spin on that for her upcoming collection which is top secret! Shhh 😉 Ruthie however gave me a sneak peak of one fabulous shoe (naturally she was rocking it herself…she is always the best model for her shoes!) from her newest Resort 15 collection, tell me the neon doesn’t make you want to dance on a cruise! And Ruthie of course had to snap a pic in front of her muse…Kate Moss, two boss ladies that know how to be strong, stylish women…now that’s hot!

It may not feel like spring just yet, but why not welcome it with open arms with some accessories that are sure to brighten up any outfit? I’m talking about sporting a neon handbag! Yes, I know what your thinking…isn’t that a summer thing or even a beach or vacation thing? Umm no! Why wouldn’t you want to stop traffic with a killer handbag? I sure like to 😉
While shooting outfits this weekend, I had a slight neon obsession. I scored a Steve Madden satchel for $30 at TJ Maxx and fell in love! I also had to share a little blast from the past…my neon yellow Cambridge Satchel from Bloomingdales. I got this bag 3 years ago from my mom because I explained to her, a bright yellow bag is a fashion must, duh! She naturally thought I was crazy but surprised me with it anyway…now while I do love this bag, the buckles on the front drive me a little crazy since I like easy access to everything in my purse, but the bag is great for a date night or girls night out when your carrying some lipgloss, keys, phone and a wallet!
Personally, I love myself a ‘Pop Of Color‘ as my style crush Brad Goreski always says…no matter what time of year it is, neon, done tastefully is always a style ‘Do’!
So what are you waiting for? Brighten up your winter into spring wardrobe with a neon handbag, it can only make you stand out that much more 😉
For once I’m actually rocking my blog look as my #ootd or ‘Outfit Of The Day’! It is freezing in NYC and that means times for a sweater, warm pants, boots and of course a cute quilted vest! Today is my last day in the FFANY office before I jet off to my first ever trip to Las Vegas tomorrow morning and I am beyond excited!!
First off, I’m hoping I can leave the snow at home and prepare for some fun in the sun (in between work hours of course 😉 ) and I am itching to get back to wearing my spring into summer wardrobe…I’m hiding sweaters and boots in the back of my closet this week!
I haven’t been on a vacation, let alone traveled in forever…so not only is this a great work experience but a great life experience for me as well…I’m told Vegas is an adult’s playground and of course the advice from my mom ‘go to the buffets that’s the best part of vegas’…as you can guess my mom isn’t a party person or a gambler, so naturally breakfast, lunch and dinner was her favorite part of Vegas. I’m just excited to see tons of neon, bright lights and to take some awesome pictures with my new camera! Also, I’ll be staying at the Bellagio…so some outfit pictures in front of the fountains are definitely in order!
Today’s outfit is warm, cozy and casual since I have tons of last minute things to do before heading off for the city of sin! I have a thing for brightening up my ordinary outfits with fun accessories, so something I was lusting after for a while was ‘mirrored sunglasses‘…while the Ray Ban version costs over $100, I scored these chic sunnies at Urban Outfitters for a mere $15…now that’s a steal!
I had to add an extra ‘Pop Of Color‘ as my style crush Brad Goreski would say, and I decided to rock my quilted blue bag as a clutch with this outfit! A chic blue bag is the perfect accessory and a little cobalt will never go out of style ladies!
