Ok, so I may never have actually seen Blue Lagoon but when I went through these photos, for some reason that was the first phrase that came to mind haha…Don’t judge me…but is it bad to title blog posts things that just randomly pop into your head?

That in a nut shell is what this week has been for me so far…I decided after chatting with my blogger gal pal Amy, that since I won’t be flying back to NY to be with my family on Thanksgiving, I will head to Arizona and crash hers! (hey what are friends for right? :p) I am super excited and can’t wait to experience another fun state (I only got to see the Grand Canyon there on my way to LA back in June during my road trip, so I can’t wait to experience all Arizona has to offer!)I have decided that I want to really try to travel as much as possible, and this fall…it will definitely be happening. At the end of this month I am heading to Orlando to have some fun at Universal Studios AND the best part? My dad is flying from NY to hang out with me! I totally can’t wait to see him (I haven’t seen him since our long hug and cry at LAX when he left me here as he flew back to NY)…I definitely plan on running and crying in the Orlando airport when I see him because he is my best friend and I miss him so much.

As if that wasn’t fun enough…literally the day I get back from Florida, I fly out to San Francisco for work…this time I get to spend the night and experience a little of what SF has to offer! Can’t wait…exciting things to come 🙂This striped dress will definitely be in my suitcase for Orlando because it is perfect to wear for lunch by the beach or dress it up for dinner at the hotel…it’s versatile, super comfy and if I binge eat nothing shows haha Love those kinds of dresses 😉 Hey I am on a tight budget here in LA, so I fully expect to have a steak or two in FL (shhh…don’t tell my dad haha)

My blue Ray Bans will obviously be with me the entire trip…I feel like they are just a must have forever and ever.

My shoes I will continue to wear well into fall with jeans, leather leggings and pointe pants. The pop of white really well…pops (and I am all about pops!).

Stripes On Rodeo…

And this everyone is my happy place…Rodeo Drive…California’s version of 5th avenue with a lot ~~less~~ crowding and a beautiful temperature year round (I guess it’s safe to say I have yet to miss NYC huh? :p) I actually shot this before I was even fully living in LA. My little brother and I ventured around Rodeo one morning during our vacation a few weeks ago and I kinda forced him to shoot this outfit because yes…I wasn’t wearing ‘designer‘ on Rodeo but hey I think it still looked pretty damn cute!

Today is a bit bitter-sweet…by the time all of you are reading this, I will be on the road for my big move to California! If you didn’t catch Monday’s post, I announced that I am moving to LA and leaving the only place I’ve ever known, Long Island, for a new journey filled with great opportunities and of course some adventure.

It’s crazy to think I will be leaving my family and friends behind to venture out on my own and really become an adult but hey…it has to happen eventually right? Well I decided today was the perfect opportunity to do a little flashback to a look I shot a few weeks ago at one of my favorite Long Island hot spots, Prime American Kitchen & Bar (during my college years I actually hosted there during the summer). I have always loved being by the water and soaking up some sunshine so hostessing there was one of my favorite jobs and not to mention the food was kinda amazing…(and by kinda I mean it was in fact amazing!). Ok so maybe I am getting distracted…I love this look and even more the scenic Huntington Harbor backdrop (hey maybe it’s meant to be I am moving to LA…there is a Huntington beach in Cali isn’t there?)

The day is finally here…I’m back to my old stomping grounds (two different stomping grounds that is)…today is my first day of my new position as the social media coordinator for Kleinfelds and I am beyond EXCITED! I have been searching for the right fit for a while after leaving Madison Ave last spring and after quite the journey I am pleased to be starting the new year off right with a brand new adventure that I can’t wait to embark on!

Now in regards to back to my old stomping grounds…A) I am back to commuting into the Big Apple daily and heading to work following my passion…social media 😉 + B) These photos were taken at a very old stomping ground…my elementary school! Boy has time flied (insert monkey covering it’s face emoji here haha!)While this isn’t what I am wearing for my first day of work today (you can see my daily work ensembles on snap chat — add me ‘MissyOnMadison‘…beware I am VERY NEW to the world of snap chat and needed my 14 year old sister to help me…along with some help from google just so I could learn how to write text on ‘snaps’…hey I ~~can’t know~~ it all…that would just be obnoxious haha!)Ok, now that I got the whole snap chat situation out of the way let’s get to the reason why we are all here…the outfit details!
