    Someone has a case of the M O N D A Y ‘ S…ok maybe it’s me and maybe you too? :p I had one heck of a weekend + I already can’t wait for the upcoming 3 day weekend that is just 5 days away (let the countdown begin) because I need some R&R like nobody’s business 😉 (got to look forward to something, right? haha)

    Saturday, I headed to the famous Laugh Factory on Sunset (still can’t believe Sunset is only 5 minutes from where I live #surreal)…since laughter is honestly the best medicine for when you are feeling drained or need a little pick me up! Yesterday I headed to Kristi’s house for a Vera Bradley themed brunch to celebrate the launch of their new candle, soaps + fragrance sets!     Here are some of my current favorites from the brunch:

    Back to my outfit…My brother shot this look on me back in May when we were visiting USC (in true Missy fashion I needed to share my ‘college‘ style even though I graduated college years ago haha!) But…if I was still in school…this would be a great casual look!

    Every gal needs a Preppy Striped Button Down like this one (similar)! Wear it buttoned up for a more polished look for the office or an interview, or wear it open with an easy camisole like this one for a more casual look with jeans, shorts or over a dress or skirt!

    Since this was shot back in the spring, it was sandal season…although I still wear sandals like these (similar) even now during winter in LA (it ain’t NY cold so why not)! These sandals are from J. Crew Factory, but these silver Birkenstocks are really similar and very comfortable (is it bad I want to buy these too? #oops)!

    My sunnies are from Nordstrom (similar here) + my cobalt blue bag is Kenneth Cole (currently sold out) but similar options below!

    That Pink Wall…

    Living in LA, it is practically mandatory to do a photo shoot in front of the ever so famous ‘Pink Wall‘ on Melrose (it’s on the side of the Paul Smith store). The morning I shot there, there were tons of bloggers there (even one gal shooting a music video haha). My chiffon camisole is on sale now at Kohls and it is the perfect piece to layer under a blazer, sweater, cardigan or denim jacket.

    I also love a chic blazer — especially this white one. Everyone wears black blazers, but a white one adds a little extra something to any look. As for my jeans, simple skinny jeans, cuffed at the bottom — I love showing a little ankle (plus I am short haha so these fit me great — short gals rejoice).

    And this everyone is my happy place…Rodeo Drive…California’s version of 5th avenue with a lot less crowding and a beautiful temperature year round (I guess it’s safe to say I have yet to miss NYC huh? :p) I actually shot this before I was even fully living in LA. My little brother and I ventured around Rodeo one morning during our vacation a few weeks ago and I kinda forced him to shoot this outfit because yes…I wasn’t wearing ‘designer‘ on Rodeo but hey I think it still looked pretty damn cute!
