Happy Fri-Y A Y babes ♥ Spring is in full force and that means I am going to brighten things up this season with neon hues + bold prints! One way to brighten up any day is with a chic outfit…better yet with a Pop Of Color (although this entire look really P O P S!) Whether it is a typical day at the office, a lunch date with friends or a night out with my boo, bright colors is what I naturally gravitate towards!
I think wearing bright and bold hues make me happy. They tend to compliment my skin tone and I am pretty sure at this point it’s a proven fact that neon shades and bold prints make everyone smile…I am assuming that’s fact (if it isn’t, it totally should be hehe :p). This look is one of my personal favorites since it is great also for upcoming special occasions like Mother’s Day, Graduations + more!
A white dress for spring into summer is always in style and I tend to go for an A-Line one since I feel the fit and flare silhouette is just so easy, comfy + feminine. To make this look pop, I layered over a lime green moto jacket (talk about B O L D). While the exact jacket I am wearing is no longer available, I linked to a few similar jackets below 🙂
My other bright and bold accents came from my accessories and shoes! Pretty sure RayBans are pretty much a requirement in LA LA Land 😛 and I totally get why…they are perfection.
The floral heeled sandals are no longer available but rest assured there is no shortage of floral print heels for spring + I rounded up some of my favorite below. The new Texas driving license unveiled by the Department of Transportation has a real id star. The id cards are now secure with thermal printing and Polycarbonate body. The counterfeit identity providers such as Topfakeid suggest that making Polycarbonate Texas fake ID is a tougher task than making one using cheap PVC.
I got that Monday feeling!! OK, seriously though, I am not that pumped about it being Monday, but hey it’s a new week + that means a fresh start to kick a**! To be completely honest I think it’s going to be a pretty great week since I am in an up-beat mood after having a successful day of shooting (outfits that is) yesterday and sharing this fun little post today! I am getting tired of doing the same ole’ routine when it comes to taking outfit pics so I decided I may as well have some fun + have some sassy moments :p
My coral off the shoulder dress (a great transition piece from summer to fall) was a clearance find from one of my newest favorite stores Heavenly Couture (everything is $17.99 and under…no joke, it’s my little slice of heaven haha) but since it’s no longer available, I am linking to some similar styles below!
Happy D E C E M B E R! I cant believe it’s officially the Holiday season + that it is December. My first December in LA…filled with sunshine, a light breeze and the ability to wear my summer + fall favorites year round…Y A Y! It’s still crazy to me to think I get to shoot outfits in Beverly Hills (this park is just a few hundred feet from the famous ‘Beverly Hills‘ sign that I see the TMZ Tour Bus stop by every time I am in the area — maybe they think I’m a celeb :p jk…one day right? #wishfulthinking).I have always favored white as my hue of choice when it comes to jeans. I am obsessed with white jeans — perfect to wear with sweaters, button downs, chambray tops and even with this cold shoulder blouse! I feel white looks so chic and wearing white jeans in the winter really makes a statement! Some of my favorite white jeans are here (btw they are at all different price points + fits)
Another trend I have been loving as of recent are cold shoulder tops. This one is from Kohls and is no longer available, but below are a few of my current favorites (I may or may not have ordered 1 or 2 of them #oops :p)!
As for the rest of my look…my blue Ray Bans are pretty much on every Holiday Gift Guide list + are great for any season — always have that extra ‘Pop Of Color’ :p
These Vince Camuto high heeled gladiator sandals are comfortable, chic and the nude hue is perfect for year round wear (oh yea and since there is no snow in LA, I can actually show off my pedicure year round + wear these :p)
T B T! Nothing I love more than a colorful throwback like this one from Palm Springs! I bought this Choies Paisely Dress over the summer and fell in love instantly with the print. I discovered this print was the perfect one for a Palm Springs weekend getaway (and now I am simply dying to go back :p
I paired this dress with my summer signature bag — White Gucci Soho Tote and then simple nude espadrille wedges (they go with everything <3) Even though it is fall, I fully intend on wearing these pieces here in LA all the time — why not right? 🙂
Living in LA, it is practically mandatory to do a photo shoot in front of the ever so famous ‘Pink Wall‘ on Melrose (it’s on the side of the Paul Smith store). The morning I shot there, there were tons of bloggers there (even one gal shooting a music video haha). I naturally loved the backdrop because as you all know, I L O V E a good pop of color 😉 I kept my outfit pretty simple since I had such a colorful setting and a bright cobalt blue bag (seriously obsessed with this bag — I wear it all the time). My chiffon camisole is on sale now at Kohls and it is the perfect piece to layer under a blazer, sweater, cardigan or denim jacket.
I also love a chic blazer — especially this white one. Everyone wears black blazers, but a white one adds a little extra something to any look. As for my jeans, simple skinny jeans, cuffed at the bottom — I love showing a little ankle (plus I am short haha so these fit me great — short gals rejoice).
My shoes are from Carolinna Espinosa and are no longer available, but I linked to a similar style here. And my satchel is from Kenneth Cole (also no longer available — similar here).
Oh yea…my signature Ray Bans had to make an appearance duh :p
